I contacted Cornerstone Cowboys for an estimate via Yelp and Carlos responded quickly. Carlos, Jesus and Rosie came out the next day to take a look at our issues and to come up with a game plan. I was sent the estimate and gave them the go ahead. Jesus arrived bright and early to start and the job finished in a reasonable time. The areas that were fixed look FANTASTIC. P.S. Carlos, Jesus and Rosie were super friendly. The one thing we wish we had was a little more clarification with the pricing/estimate prior to signing it. I had asked questions and thought we were all on the same page. Unfortunately, there were added expenses that my husband and I thought were included that weren't and we had to pay extra. Regardless, we are happy with the work that was done and would definitely consider working with Cornerstone Cowboys. This was a Covered Patio addition w/ fire pit and I'd say moderate cost. Pros: 1) The phone number listed is for the owner which is quite bold for any company. 2) They were very quick to respond for a quote. 3) They completed the job even through all of the struggles. Some may have taken the money and run. Cons: 1) The Project Manager, Cristian, assigned had very little oversight and added very little value beyond scheduling, ordering materials and translating. -We had to drive around town to locate the stone material we wanted to use in his price range (which didn't exist by the way). There were not recommendations of where to go or any samples available on hand that he'd spec'd. -We had to meet new contractors onsite and explain what they'd be doing. Inspect the job before they left. Look for issues and explain to everyone what needed to be fixed. -We found out in April that Cristian didn't know we were in a windstorm zone in Brazoria even though he was advised by the City Inspector who was not closing out the final inspection with out the engineer letter in January and Me at the beginning of the project where he noted it in the quote. *Still amazed* So the roof had to be replaced to meet the windstorm criteria. -We had to keep and maintain an Issues log for everyone to know what was remaining to be repaired. -We had to stay in constant communication w/ PM (and eventually the owner as well) if we wanted the job to move forward. Weeks would pass with no communication, no work, no major weather events and no explanations. -PM refused to schedule workers in parallel -Requests we made in quoting were explicitly ignored, such as the type of wood NOT to use or dimensions of the foundation. The foundation size was corrected luckily before they poured but unfortunately we reluctantly agreed to keep the wood if they could get the stain right... that took 4 attempts. -This was quoted as a 30 day job, which contracted 7/9/22 and today 8/25/23 we are submitting (as in I'm doing it myself) the paperwork to close out the last permit more than a year later. -In the end the PM/Owner decided they could not do a portion of the contract (French drains and yard regrade & resod) they agreed to and refunded that portion. We happily agreed as well. -We were lied to over and over throughout the process, overt small lies to cover up ignorance and then big whoppers. I don't do lies or liars. I tolerated it for a bit and then I didn't and my husband took over communications to keep the peace. But for anyone from Conerstone reading, honesty goes so much further. 2) The company didn't have relationships with subcontractors and used subpar labor for which they were testing on my project. -Every aspect of the job (except the foundation which is now chipping away) had to be redone 2+ times (up to 4 that I can remember) -There was an attempt to not get a plumbing permit to avoid using the more expensive labor required to run the gas line. After rerunning that line 3 times and getting the permit anyway I'm sure the cost more than caught up though. 3) The nature of our contract originally meant that we had paid for the covered patio before it was complete. From the point it was paid in January we became last priority. You can see on their FB page "Wrapping up another beautiful Patio Job"... 1/3/23... They staged a photo shoot with a gentleman with a cornerstone shirt (I assure you, they do not employ their own labor). How in the world that takes another 7.5 months, I'm sure would baffle all of you as well. Good luck in your search, this is not it.

I was given Jeremy's phone number on Sunday, October 11 by a friend who found him online. I called Jeremy Monday morning and he told me to send pictures of my kitchen for an estimate. I sent pictures at 12:39 and had an estimate at 12:46. We couldn't go to Houston to look at the granite until Saturday morning. The inventory is huge and we walked around and around for about an hour and a half before finally making a decision. Once we picked out two slabs we sent the info to Jeremy who immediately called to set up an appointment to take measurements. Jeremy arrived at my house Monday, October 19th and scheduled installation for Wednesday October 21st. Today, Wednesday morning Douglas, Manollo and Rider show up with my countertops. These guys are the best of the best! Excellent work ethics , super polite and OMG the awesome personalities. They were in and out too fast as I was enjoying conversing with them as they worked. Again, I am still in awe that I actually have countertops already and how gorgeous they are! I will be telling everyone I know to call Jeremy and his awesome team! Now if only the rest of the house could be finished...

He gives great customer service over the phone, is very eager, always available, good at scheduling, and willing to meet you at the right price point, but when it came down to the actual work that was done, the quality suffered. Perhaps it was because of the crew he used that day - perhaps it was because it was the Friday before a long weekend and they simply weren't there to do their best work and instead did their fastest work - but numerous people have commented on how poor the fit and finish of our counter-top is. After they had installed our white marble counter-tops I pointed out that there were brown striped stains in certain places - I then determined they had left the thin wood template they used to cut the slabs to size, sandwiched in between the slabs while they traveled in the truck, and the rain had leached the stain out of the wood and into the marble, drip lines included. They said the stains would eventually sink into the marble and disappear, but it was so bad on one of the pieces that they used up more of our marble to remake that piece, but didn't have quite enough to make it the same size, so had to glue a small piece on the corner. But it was so late already that they rushed the work and it didn't come out well. The sink was installed using some pieces of broken plywood, screwed crooked to the inside of the cabinets to sandwich the lip in place. Not exactly 'proper installation hardware'. After that, for an additional fee I was sold a 'sealing treatment' for hundreds of dollars, which turned out to be Jeremy using a thin old rag to wipe a stone sealant liquid over the surface - except nobody cleaned the marble off first, so it still had layers of dust on it from all of the work that had been done with it that day - resulting in circular swirling scratches over the entire surface that readily appear in sunlight. One of the bar counter-tops isn't level and visibly tilts forward, one of the back splashes isn't flush, and all over the kitchen, the edge laminate seams and slab seams have chips filled with grey epoxy filler in multiple places, not to mention a couple of the chips that were in the top surfaces already when they arrived (this has to occur after delivery to the stone provider because you can tell when they have no polish on or in the chip). And those stains they said would disappear? They are, almost one year later now, still very visible. So after it all, even though Jeremy (who never came out again himself) sent an associate to check on the stains, they did nothing to rectify anything, but still demanded final payment for the work. No refund, no offer to redo or correct anything at their expense. It may be BBB time, except they aren't registered with the Bureau....

Payment was easy and I appreciated the very detailed invoice. I felt 100% comfortable leaving a key with Luis and his crew! One day I came home to meet yet another contractor and I was blown away when I saw Luis on his hands and knees actually working with his crew! Usually folks just make the sale, send the crew and check in from time to time but Luis was working side by side with his crew and I was really impressed. All in all the flooring and total stair remodel they did for us was top notch. They cleaned up after themselves everyday and we received 0 neighbor complaints! Three new exterior doors installed, all new hardware. All the house siding panels replaced, rotted porch ceilings repaired, window calking replaced and the entire house and garage power washed and repainted. Image #2 & 3 Neighbor to my right (Micheal) had a built-in carport built, wired for security lights and painted. Three others had misc fence and exterior repairs. A&M has also been doing work for some of our relatives. Alec is a preferred contractor on my street (Braesview Lane in Breasvalley) and his wife provides thorough, easy to understand invoices.
