However, the carpet he inserted into my closet is comical. There is a clear line where his much darker/rougher new carpet meets my original. Seeing my look of distress when he showed me his completed work, he proceeded to tell me how my apartment complex was going to replace all of the carpets in my unit anyway because there was slight discoloration from regular wear and tear, to begin with. After paying hundreds of dollars, I am left with a mismatched carpet and a bad taste in my mouth from the experience. And when we asked for a full written assessment they said they cannot do that but sent a recap summary in an email. After I wrote my review, we were asked to email customer service so they could help us. My husband sent the email right away on March 5. We never received a response so he sent a follow up email right at the end of March. We finally received a response in April 3. Basically they are saying that the person who came out to our property was incorrect and that by looking at the pictures, they have decided the cause of the damage is due to environmental factors. This is despite what the worker, who saw it in person, said and the fact that we have had floors installed (by empire) before and had no issues. So they said they will refund the $150 they charged us for the person who came out in person to assess the issue. Super disappointed and will obviously never use this company again.
