Alex was really communicative from the beginning of the project, through the entire quoting process, and was onsite frequently checking in during the project. Their team was transparent about pricing for any additional services that popped up as the project was going on, and they finished in a very timeline manner. (We were quoted 4-6 weeks for the project and I believe it took 4.) We love the results of our new backyard! It looks amazing, and I am able to relax knowing my kids have a fenced in area to play in.

He explained everything in detail and was absolutely flexible with all of our needs. He kept us informed throughout our journey so we knew what to expect at each step. Tyler is one of the most knowledgable people I've ever met when it comes to plants. He had suggestions and answers to every question we threw his way. His communication was spot on, understood what we wanted, offered suggestions when we didn't and was super chill through the entire project. He even recommended a fantastic landscaper to boot. His fees and costs for plants were well within budget and he made sure nothing was a surprise. And if he shows up with a fruit tree, just take it. Trust us. Who knew a nectaplum was even a thing? So delicious... We could not be happier with Tyler's work. If you're looking for a designer, or just want to learn the scientific names of every plant in your backyard, Tyler is your guy. A+, 5 stars, would totally have him pick our plants again.

Bon Terra completed our backyard project a few weeks ago, and we couldn't be happier. From start…read moreto finish we were impressed with the communication, collaboration, and hard work from Johnny's design, to Isaac and his construction crew. We started the backyard journey by getting 15 bids from landscape construction companies. We had done plenty of home remodels and rebuilds, but never embarked on a backyard landscape project. Bon Terra impressed us immediately, as they were the only company that was up front with design ideas, costs, and time. Johnny was able to design a backyard that fit our aesthetic, and came up with many ideas we never thought of. He was able to make changes as needed, and was always open to work with our own ideas. We found Isaac and his construction crew to be personable, hard working, and punctual. They work four days per week, Tuesday through Friday, which worked great for us. We were appreciative that Isaac was able to roll with the punches when we had some unplanned issues pop up. We could get stressed out or impatient about the "snafus," but Isaac never did. Thank you! The pricing was fair for the quality of work by Bon Terra. I wish they took credit cards, but completely understand why they wouldn't! I have already recommended Bon Terra Landscapes to friends, and anyone asking for a referral.

I had Legacy Landscapers do 2 separate projects and they did a fantastic job…read more The first project we had weeds growing in through the rock landscaping in our front yard. I had asked that we need to replace the barrier underneath. The got it done in about 2 days. The 2nd project we had grass installed in our backyard and get the sprinklers working again (previous owners never got it fixed, so I'm glad that it wasn't any major work). They did it all in one day. They did a fantastic job - so fast, but most importantly, great quality and such good value. I would hire them again for future projects and highly recommend them to others.

We appreciated his input and experience throughout, and the crew was very friendly and hard working. One of the crew members was actually his dad, who always had a smile on and walked us through the progress when Cristian wasn't around. They deserved 5 stars and we would definitely use them again!

Octavio was the only one who figured out the logistics of getting a Bobcat on-site and offered a clear path forward. While we worked with a separate landscape designer, Octavio's on-the-ground expertise actually improved the final result. He suggested practical modifications to the original terrace and retaining wall plans that better suited our terrain, which saved us significant costs. Beyond the major earth-moving, he handled: - Full Front Yard Renovation: High-quality work at a very fair price. - ADU Infrastructure: Trenching and installation for electric, water, and sewer lines. - Finishing Touches: Expert irrigation, lighting, and planting. What truly sets him apart is his character. When raccoons tore up our new sod, Octavio offered to repair it under warranty, even though it wasn't his fault. After interviewing three designers, we chose Ian and I'm happy to report that our plans were approved within 48 hours of sending them to the board. One neighbor, who used to serve on that committee, said "these are the most detailed plans I've ever seen". Ian's attention to detail had to have been a major factor in their decision-making process. What we liked about Ian was: he was able to easily and quickly share examples of other designs he had created; he told us that his fee would include revisions, he wouldn't nickel-and-dime us; and he has established relationships with many/all contractors that we'll need to complete the work. I'll update this review as we go through the process...we're only at the approval stage now. We need to have a good portion of the backyard demo'd before the work can begin. But so far, so good. Being a control freak I was hesitant to accept ideas from Tsering, however, once I saw his suggestions on paper I understood his goal was to compliment my vision. We got three estimates and Roberto's estimate was the most reasonable and he was able to do the job in the short timeframe I needed. The team showed up as promised and did a great job! In South San Francisco the weather was very damp and cold due to heavy fog so the concrete did not dry as fast as it could have. They returned the next day to finish off the job.
