Working with him was a wonderful experience from start to finish. His shared his design ideas to us in an impressive package of pictures and information about suggested plants, which helped us understand what they would look like when full grown, and when they would all bloom. In addition to being knowledgeable about native plants, soil amendment and "smart" irrigation, we found him to be a great collaborator: listening to our "hopes and dreams" for our garden, and willing to adjust his design to suit our tastes, or to explain why something else might work even better for us. We highly recommend his very fairly-priced services to anyone wanting beautiful landscaping that supports our pollinators!

We fell in love with the garden and it was one of the main reasons we bought the place. Fast forward to now, he just finished planting native wild flowers in another part of our property as well as installing a large planter and several plants, herb gardens, in a concrete area of our property. We are so happy with Stephan's work. We share his passion for native plants and his sustainable approach. The irrigation he set up for us was sophisticated but easy to manage. He provided detailed information on everything he planted. A couple of plants ended up not seeming happy in their new spots and he was eager to switch them out so we could have plants that would be thrive in our microclimate. The initial garden was set up in part for privacy and that has been so valued as we now have natural privacy from neighbors on one side, but it looks very beautiful and all the neighbors admire our gardens. It has truly increased the value of the property. Highly recommend Stephan and Natives for Life.

I mentioned what I needed, and an estimated budget, and was told to wait for a followup. It took a while to get in touch, probably because of my network provider or that he had plenty other projects to attend to, but I was able to call him and luckily his crew in Novato, Rob, was already there and I was able to get the task done the same day. I emailed other services with no replies, left voicemails with no callbacks, and was even promised someone to come by and look, but didn't show up. I did leave a voicemail for Aaron to get back to me and when he did, the network decided to drop the call. It wasn't his fault, so I knew to call him when I had a more stable connection. Since he was the only one that responded, showed up, and gave a synopsis of the project, taking into mind my budget, I couldn't let it go. The day Rob and his crew came, it took under an hour to get the task done. He went over what Aaron recapped for him, and went it over again with me so we were on the same page. He asked more questions that were missed the first, like keeping some of fences or remove them. They cleaned up after themselves and put all the foilage in the bin for disposal. Friendly, efficient, and fast. I could see what they were doing and it was impressive to see the backyard mess go away. It was pretty difficult to contact garderners around here during this time, but with patience, and good reception, I'd recommend Sampson's Landscaping. I know I will when the place becomes a mess again.

Bon Terra completed our backyard project a few weeks ago, and we couldn't be happier. From start…read moreto finish we were impressed with the communication, collaboration, and hard work from Johnny's design, to Isaac and his construction crew. We started the backyard journey by getting 15 bids from landscape construction companies. We had done plenty of home remodels and rebuilds, but never embarked on a backyard landscape project. Bon Terra impressed us immediately, as they were the only company that was up front with design ideas, costs, and time. Johnny was able to design a backyard that fit our aesthetic, and came up with many ideas we never thought of. He was able to make changes as needed, and was always open to work with our own ideas. We found Isaac and his construction crew to be personable, hard working, and punctual. They work four days per week, Tuesday through Friday, which worked great for us. We were appreciative that Isaac was able to roll with the punches when we had some unplanned issues pop up. We could get stressed out or impatient about the "snafus," but Isaac never did. Thank you! The pricing was fair for the quality of work by Bon Terra. I wish they took credit cards, but completely understand why they wouldn't! I have already recommended Bon Terra Landscapes to friends, and anyone asking for a referral.
