We started the backyard journey by getting 15 bids from landscape construction companies. We had done plenty of home remodels and rebuilds, but never embarked on a backyard landscape project. Bon Terra impressed us immediately, as they were the only company that was up front with design ideas, costs, and time. Johnny was able to design a backyard that fit our aesthetic, and came up with many ideas we never thought of. He was able to make changes as needed, and was always open to work with our own ideas. We found Isaac and his construction crew to be personable, hard working, and punctual. They work four days per week, Tuesday through Friday, which worked great for us. We were appreciative that Isaac was able to roll with the punches when we had some unplanned issues pop up. We could get stressed out or impatient about the "snafus," but Isaac never did. Thank you! We got three estimates and Roberto's estimate was the most reasonable and he was able to do the job in the short timeframe I needed. The team showed up as promised and did a great job! The wall was built in one day and would have been finished in one day if the weather was better. In South San Francisco the weather was very damp and cold due to heavy fog so the concrete did not dry as fast as it could have. They returned the next day to finish off the job. I've long wanted to replace my front lawn with low maintenance plants but didn't have a vision…read moreother than incorporating a dry creek. I also had a pretty skimpy budget and needed to comply with the water company's rebate requirements. Tyler created a plan that filled every wish. His finished site plan reflects his extensive plant knowledge and a very fine eye for detail. He is well acquainted with the water rebate program and was able to answer questions thereof. I also used his service to purchase and deliver plants, and have him onsite to place the materials. This service alone is worth every penny; he moved plants and boulders around to the best aesthetic. After everything was complete, he came back for some fine-tuning and recommendations for my gardener. To save money I had my gardener do the installation but really wish I'd had the budget for a more extensive job done by one of Tyler's more experienced contractors. But I'm very happy with the result and recommend Tyler without hesitation. He's also a really nice guy and so easy to work with!
