Ken Truong (owner of Skywood) and his crew were a pleasure to work with from start to finish. Ken carefully listened to my objectives during an initial site visit. I didn't have a particular design in mind, but within about 10 days Ken was able to prepare a written proposal that included 2D and 3D photos of what the finished landscape renovation might look like. This was really helpful because only few iterations of discussion and revisions were needed to complete the final proposal. Demolition of the existing backyard included removal of trees, artificial turf, patio blocks, and a considerable amount of soil. This phase was completed relatively quickly and without any problems due to Skywood's obvious experience. The next phases included installation of drainage pipes and conduits for lighting and irrigation and then covering with rock base and pavers. Skywood's efforts during these phases included an uncommonly high level of attention to detail to ensure that rainwater would flow away from the house and into the storm drains. The final phases included installation of a redwood fence, installation of rock veneer and capstone to cover a retaining wall, and installation of lights, plants and irrigation to produce a really beautiful garden. Despite several hot summer days, Ken and his crew always had a friendly, positive attitude and left the worksite clean each day. I give Skywood Landscaping my highest recommendation, and I would surely hire them in the future.

I gave them four stars because I had to keep calling to get things (re)scheduled. I was able to quickly get Ed, their arborist, to come by and take a look at my property and provide an estimate. We walked the property. I indicated what work I needed and various issues. Ed provided me with some solutions that I implemented myself and some the crew would do to correct issues caused by the previous tree trimmers. Ed provided me with an estimate and said he would get me on the schedule. Once the crew arrived, about a month later, I walked the property again with them to show them the work so that we were all on the same page. Ed arrived shortly after and provided more details of what needed to be done to try and correct the issues. I was pleased with the results. Most of the issues were fixed. Some will likely take a year or two of corrective pruning to fully address the issues, but overall, the trees look great.. They cleaned up and left the yard in good shape.
