Recently I hired AGD Auto Glass Direct (AKA Glastek) to replace the windshield in my car. Prior to…read morehaving it scheduled, I asked if there was any sort of cash bonus/offer. Based on my vehicle, they told me $90, at which point I filed a glass claim with AGD/Glastek on the line. Once the claim was filed, I was told by my insurance to expect a link by text to take photos of the damage. While I did receive the link, AGD/Glastek called me just a few hours later stating they had the referral to complete the work and wanted to schedule. I questioned this as I had done nothing with the link yet that was provided by insurance, yet they assured me that b/c they had the referral I was good to go. The following day they replaced my windshield, but did not give me the $90 (claimed they forgot it and would mail it). Well the following day after that, they called/text me stating they needed my help as my insurance company wasn't paying them due to an issue with the referral. They asked me to call my insurance, which I did (spent an hour of my time trying to sort out their problem). My insurance company indicated they never sent any referral as I never sent in the pics, etc. They indicated AGD/Glastek jumped the gun and should not have replaced the windshield without the proper referral in place. A day or two later after that, AGD/Glastek reached out to me and threatened that if I did not call my insurance again to assist them that they would refuse to pay the $90 cash bonus. At that point I became quite frustrated with their demeaner and/or threat, seeing they are the ones who created this entire problem. So as of now, they never paid their cash bonus that they agreed to. Beware, I would strongly encourage anyone to look elsewhere as this is clearly false advertising.

Spoke with Eric, he provided me with a cash quote and the installation date and time frame was set up right away. Matt was the tech that came out to do the repairs, arrived 15 minutes before the beginning of the time frame and was done in just a little over an hour. The tint looks great. No bubbles that I can see. The edges are as good as you can get on a VW Golf Sportwagen. The upgrade includes lifetime warranty. I had my Tesla tinted at AZ Hitchman's Tinting a few weeks ago and immediately noticed issues, including hair and air bubbles in the tint, as well as the rear windshield not being fully covered as requested. Although they agreed to fix it, I had to wait nearly a month for a follow-up appointment since they were fully booked or so they say. At my return visit, they only corrected the windows with visible defects and refused to fix the rear windshield, claiming the job would "take too long" and lied stating it would also interfere with my vehicle's GPS system. I confirmed with other local tint shops that this is not true. I even asked if they could raise it only a few more inches as a compromise, but they still refused. When I brought this up to the manager (Andy) and owner (Manny), the owner responded in a hostile and unprofessional manner, yelling at me, saying "NO" and kicked me out of the shop in front of other customers. I paid in full for a service that was only partially completed, and the experience overall was unacceptable. Since then I have reported this business to Groupon for misleading pricing, incomplete work, and unprofessional conduct. I should be receiving a refund shortly!
