1st time here & it was a Win in my book. Small location with modern interior. It was a bit confusing at 1st, as there's no podium, & no one greeted me. There's a window that says "Order Here" past the menu that I didn't see at 1st. The staff there takes your order & later delivers it to your table if you're dining in, which I did. Had a San Pellegrino, 'Take a Bao' (Pork), & J.K. Rowling Fries. Both were absolutely INCREDIBLE!!! So flavorful, so hearty. I was going to take something to go, but I was so full by the time I was done (to which I couldn't finish the fries), that I figured I'd save my to-go order for my next visit. I'd say their only "negatives," which I won't even take a star for, is all of their chairs are peeling, & there's only metered parking lot parking nearby. Take a Bao- A++ J.K. Rowling Fries- A++ Can't wait to bring Family & Friends here! Totally worth it!!

    Sushirrito
    Purpose T.

I have driven by this place for years and finally decided to drop in. As an avid sushi lover, I walked in with high expectations. Right away I knew I wanted to try a 'sushirrito' (sushi burrito). I like that they have the option to "build your own", so that's what I did. I kept it simple with white rice for the base - baked salmon for the protein - seaweed salad, kimchi, shibazuke, and oshinko for toppings (you can choose up to 4), miso & teriyaki for the sauce (you can choose 2), and lastly, tempura flakes for the crunch (you can choose up to 2). Altogether what a yum-tastic slow dance on my palate with every bite. I dined inside and the baked salmon was piping hot and flavorful. The teriyaki sauce was too salty, but the other ingredients masked it well. I do, however, think they're a bit overpriced for the portion/size. But I do appreciate the plethora of available options and add-ons without the extra charge. It wasn't a lot of people inside, but they seemed busy in the 'kitchen' perhaps making pick-up orders. I didn't mind the wait for my food because I could see that it was made fresh to order. The service was fine. They seem to want you to know what you want as soon as you get to the register, so, not as friendly for first-timers. But lucky for me, I am pretty decisive. The floor was sticky with each step, a personal yuck for me. But other than that, the atmosphere was calm, nice music playing, and the tables & chairs were clean. I enjoyed my food and time dining in. I would go again to try something else on the menu!

    Takoyaki

Went to Inspiration Roll for dinner on a Tuesday. It's a fast casual place, where you order at the register and they bring your food. I had been to I got the JK Rowling fries, takoyaki, an American Dream Sushirrito, and a bowl of their spicy tonkotsu ramen. The JK rowling fries were my favorite item. They had pork belly, spicy mayo, cheese, and sauces from Korean fried chicken. The takoyaki was average, and the sushirrito was bad. The seaweed didnt wrap all they was around so it wasnt even sealed once i took it out of the wrapping. I wish they did normal sized rolls. The ramen wasn't too salty surprisingly. It contained Noodles, Soft Boiled Egg, Scallions, Mushrooms, Bamboo Shoots, Naruto, Nori, Cabbage, Sesame Seeds, Braised Pork, and Black Garlic Truffle Oil. The garlic truffle oil overpowered the flavors of everything else in the bowl. I enjoyed their Morristown location more.

I ordered for delivery and ordered my fave dishes. I got the take a bao with shrimp and it arrived still hot and crunchy. Ii usually get extra sauce on the side because the mixture just makes it so yummy! The confucious nachos are my absolute favorite! Depending on which location you order from, I noticed some places put the nachos in a smaller container, but this one makes it in the bigger container which, I feel is worth all the money. The mixture with mango makes it more special with every bite. I know they are more known for the ramen and sushi burritos but these are the best haha!

I love the idea of the sushi burrito but it was kind of dry and felt like it was missing something.

Order: - Shoyu Ramen (3/5) - Pork Baos (4/5) - Ford Rice Bowl (4/5) Pros: - Variety of preset and build your own options to choose from - Quick service - Affordable Cons: - Not the best tasting - Very inauthentic Overall: I found this place to be very inauthentic and honestly not the best tasting. I can see why people would like it though if you were just looking for a quick and easy meal.

got take out here a couple days ago. Boo boo was able to order through their website. we both got a ramen. she got extra soup and I got extra noods for $2 each. she also got a burrito and I go a rice bowl. no dine yet. I like that I didn't have to order through the phone to pick and choose all the customizable items

I really enjoyed my dinner at Inspiration roll! This isn't authentic Japanese food, but delicious none the less. There is no table service, you order at the register and they bring you your food if you dine in. They have sushi burritos, ramen, and burrito bowls with salad and/or rice that are very customizable. The flavors all went well together and I was happy to try something new!

What a fabulous lunch. We so enjoyed ourselves. The food was excellent and so was the staff. The ramen bowl and sushi burrito was delicious. The broth with the pork belly and noodles was outstanding that we ordered extra to take home. We did build your own items and got everything we wanted. The sushi burrito was so fresh. The restaurant is kept very clean. It was an overall great lunch. Can't wait to return.

Love this spot for a quick bite. They renovated the place and it's definitely more "instagram" worthy. The food tastes great - we loooooove the ramen. It's my favorite ramen spot in the area. My boyfriend tried the build your own rice bowl and it was really tasty too. Fish was fresh.

I love Inspiration Roll! The Lincoln Roll is always my favorite, I'm a huge fan of the sushi burritos! The ramen is good too, though nothing special.

    Dylan P.

Had this place many times before. Easily the best ramen you are going to find anywhere. I always get the spicy tonkotsu and my girlfriend will usually switch it up between the ramen and the poke bowls. Fresh ingredients and always great service. Idk if this is a chain or not but I wish it was closer to my house. I'd give it more stars if I could but this place is a must go if you are in the area or passing through Westfield.

An underrated, Asian cuisine spot on the corner of Broad St. and Central Ave. Even though they only had 1 vegan ramen option (ASK TO MAKE WITHOUT EGG & MAKE WITH RICE/TOFU NOODLES)--it HAD EVERYTHING you want in a meal--flavor, texture, variety and was SUPER FILLING AND CHEAP! If you're in the mood for ramen this is the place to go! They are also one of the few restaurants on that street open for dine-in on Sundays!

It was my first time doing karaoke and I honestly don't know that I would do it again. We booked a karaoke room for an hour for 6 people on a Thursday evening, and while the singing was fun, the service was below subpar. When we arrived, we did not have a full menu available to us in the room, so it took a few mins to get our order in. Our server kept close tabs of every minute in karaoke, but not the food. It took over 60 minutes to get our wings! Apparently there was some sort of mix up in the kitchen & while we were understanding, what threw us for a loop was that even though our wings were DELAYED, our server was hesitant to offer complimentary time in our karaoke room while we waited. Right at the 60-minute mark, he was quick to offer two options - our wings to go or a table in the dining room. In the end, we had to negotiate an extra hour in the karaoke room since our food took SO long to come out. When paying the check, we were surprised to see a charge for food we never ever received! I'm super disappointed that they tried to take advantage of us, when we were very understanding of their mix up. In my opinion, servers could use a lesson or two in customer service. Never in my time in hospitality, have I ever behaved in the way they did.

The main entrance is next to the kitchen, which is designed for food delivery and takeout operations. The L-shaped dining room wraps around the kitchen and offers an impressive amount of seating for 80 people with ample natural lighting. The interior decor follows the same rigid industrial wood and metal aesthetic that almost every new hipstery restaurant chain has subscribed to for the past decade. In case you've forgotten that ramen is Japanese, you'll also see neon signs on the walls illuminating some common Japanese phrases (although without furigana). Two gendered restrooms are located left of the kitchen in the far corner of the building and each have two stalls and one sink. I ordered the Tokyo Shoyu Ramen with a side of Chili Charred Brussels for takeout. I placed the order 30 minutes in advance and it was ready at the scheduled pickup time. The Chili Charred Brussels were about five halved sprouts that were steamed and lightly sauteed with a light sprinkling of mustard greens and pepper flakes. I actually enjoyed these more than the ramen I ordered, but they did not have much noticeable charring (or the caramelization that comes with charring). I had a very difficult time enjoying the Tokyo Shoyu Ramen, which is the first item on the ramen menu. The dry ingredients are packaged in the main serving bowl and the broth in a separate plastic takeout container for you to combine yourself. The main attraction of the Tokyo Shoyu Ramen is the three massive slabs of braised pork, which did not disappoint. I tried some of dry ingredients first before drowning them in liquid, although I could not find any bean sprouts. The noodles were slightly undercooked, possibly to compensate for the hot broth. Everything kind of went downhill after I added the shoyu broth. Although the shoyu did impart flavor to the meat and ramen, it was so overwhelmingly salty that it was completely undrinkable by itself. After finishing the noodles, I felt like I was sipping boiled dipping sauce. If chicken broth was in the mix, I certainly couldn't taste it. This is particularly concerning because half of the ramen menu contains this same shoyu tare, and will most likely be too overpowering for most people. In retrospect, I should have ordered the brothless mazemen ramen. The food preparation, while adequate, seemed a bit rushed based on what I ate. Perhaps 30 minutes was not enough lead time for the kitchen, or perhaps this is just how Ani Ramen makes its food. While I appreciate that Ani has helped make ramen more accessible in Central Jersey, it's probably not my first choice for ramen or any of the eclectic side dishes on the menu, e.g. brussels sprouts, kimchi, and gua bao (none of which are Japanese).

But we were just dropping by one of our absolute favorite places to eat in Summit. Summit has a great downtown with many restaurants and let me be brutally honest. Many will disappoint. My experience is a lot of muted flavors. Not too spicy. Some honestly pretty bland. Not so here. We get the ramen fairly often. I get the chefs special or house special? Something special. And it is. My wife gets the vegan one. She gets it with no bamboo shoots. Not a bamboo shoot fan. She would make the perfect panda roommate. They are crazy about them. Her panda roommate would not even need to put his name on them in the fridge. She wouldn't go near them. They wouldn't need to have that awkward conversation where he would say, "I'm pretty sure I had like 3/4 of a container of bamboo shoots yesterday," She hates them. Be careful. I am pretty sure they are not called bamboo shoots on the menu. I think they use the Japanese name for them. And we always get the tofu bao buns because she's pretty vegan. Not orthodox vegan. She might have an egg. Especially here. Add an egg to her ramen. Ramen is terrific. And we've had it delivered as well. Packed really well. Actually maybe not delivered. But take out for sure. We ate in tonight I had the Kimchi pork bao buns. Wow. People will write songs about them. And I had the sticky chicken wings which are only available for dine in. Super crispy super sticky. If people are writing songs about the bao buns they would go to war over these wings. Even a panda would be like Why was I eating sticks? What's wrong with me? These are amazing! The place is really cute inside. I see it described as hipster but this is definitely a popular family spot in Summit.
