It was warm and had a nice crunch on the outside soft on the inside. It did have a synthetic taste however. Overall, I wouldn't encourage people to go out of your way for these cookies. Friday, 9/2/2023 I was going to order some cookies but the younger black male at the cash register here wasn't welcoming or pleasant. It was empty inside, there wasn't a line or any other customers. I asked basic questions about the vegan cookies. I've experienced pleasant and professional staff in NC but this location missed the mark. I decided not to purchase due to the staff's attitude. What an amazing concept and what a great place for a late night cookie and/or cookie with ice cream. I just left a local bar and I wanted a snack before heading home and I stopped here. Surprisingly at midnight they were pretty crowded but the lady handling the counter was very efficient. I ordered a chocolate chunk cookie and a chocolate mint cookie and paid and sat and ate my cookies while I waited for my Uber to go home. She said I could fill out the survey using the QR code at the bottom of the receipt and I would be able to get a free cookie. I had a chance to do that while waiting for the Uber and got a snickerdoodle cookie to go with me. All the cookies were hot and delicious and well worth it. I believe I visited this location at another time when I was in the Fells Point area. Just like with this visit it was hot and delicious but I believe at that time I had a scoop of ice cream between the two cookies which was truly amazing. Just remembered to circle back here to detail my experience. We came at around 10:30 pm. There were 6-7 people in line, in addition to us. The employees were arguing. We walked in, they glanced at the line, and one of them remarked that they weren't going to serve us, I assume because they were tired or burnt out. They were going back and forth, to the degree that I wouldn't be surprised if a fight broke out. We just left. That whole situation made me feel uncomfortable, and that's not the type of environment that I want to end my night with. I made 3 online orders. through their website and 2 of 3 were wrong the first order was pretty simple. give me access to their cookie magic membership. It was FREE so why not. i was about to do an order. No problems so far 2nd order was immediately after the first for a pack of 12 + the "free" daily cookie. Instead of getting 13 cookies, i got 12 and the type of cookies came out wrong too. a bit frustrating, but whatever.. i missed out on the freebie and honestly i was happy to just get cookies. I put in a negative note with this same information and was called by insomnia offering a refund on a cookie (2$, yay sure) and a coupon in my email. Both of which never happened (or went to spam and i never noticed). Still not a big deal. I mean their app doesnt recognize my cookie magic (free) membership. so still.. whatever. 3rd order was for a smaller order of 6 cookies + a special Premium cookie + that free cookie. And this is where it gets silly.. I still got that "free" cookie missed! in addition, the cookies were delivered through a 3rd party and came ~15 mins later than expected.. not a great delay, but the first time came on the dot. All in all - Get the cookie magic if you live near by. Cookie every day by walking in. She ignored us at first and then seemed annoyed when helping us out. Someone else came into the store and then began to help her out. Today we stood in line at 12 noon as it stated on the website, that's what time this locations opens. An African American female employee proceeds to open the door with an attitude and questions my niece and I, along with 5 other customers. She asked us why were were standing outside the door. "We don't open at 12, we open when I say we open and when I open the door." "Just because the website states we open at 12, doesn't mean I'm opening the door. We're open when I say we open." This employee was incredibly unprofessional and unnecessarily rude. It was clear she did not want to work but it looks bad for the company.
