Super friendly staff and delicious. This is our favorite for visits to Beaverton, Hillsboro or Canon Beach.

This use to be hands down my favorite coffee place. But this experience has left me questioning if I should go elsewhere. I always go get my coffee but this time I to-go ordered ahead. I ordered hot coffee and got iced coffee, then my food order was replaced because they were out of what I originally asked for. Normally, that's not a big deal, but the replaced food was overcooked and so inedible, I had to throw it away. A knife would not cut through the bagels because they were so rock hard. (I also asked that my food not be toasted so I could do it at home.) I used scissors and the bagel went flying in two directions. I'm left extremely disappointed. read more

The best Chai I've had in PDX/metro. I love that they have oat milk and hemp milk (not many places seem to). insomnia has replaced Starbucks and Dutch Bros for my regular stop (note that the Murray Hill Insomnia doesn't have drive thru, but neither do the 3 Starbucks in the area) I've been going to insomnia since Jan '20, every visit has been just what one would expect from a nice coffee shop. Great ingredients, very clean, comfy and artsy vibe, quick service, awesome staff! read more

Came here this morning food and drink prepared quickly! I got an iced white mocha and it was really good! Then I got a bagel which was also good! Definitely recommend and will be coming back! read more

The dude is super rude and he pressures you to give tip. Sure you'll get tip this visit, but you just lost a returning customer.

Stopped in today for the first time. Asked for a white mocha with a sprinkle of cinnamon. The guy recommended I try having the cinnamon steamed in the milk. The absolute best latte I have ever had. The cinnamon roll was delicious as well. read more

we normally like their pastries and coffee. My wife went there this morning to get some pastries for my birthday breakfast and she brought home what she called a marionberry muffin. First I don't know why she purchased it in the first place. It did not resemble a muffin, it had only specs of marionberry and tasted like a flour cupcake. When I tried to remove the wax paper around it half of it was left on the paper. If I was them I would have been embarrassed to even sell it. We will go back but I will not be getting the "marionberry muffin" again. read more

This is the place to get coffee!! The atmosphere is inviting, relaxing, and the shop is very clean! On top of that the coffee is SUPERB and the baristas are friendly while providing top tier customer service! This will be my new go-to coffee shop! read more

Went there this afternoon around 2:30 pm. The place was packed but the line was short. Got waited on fairly quickly but the order took so long - over 30 min. There were only 2 workers in the entire place. They did not look happy to be working there. I understand if the shop has been struggling in pandemic and maybe downsized the workers, but I feel like they should've staffed better considering today was the first day of the week of Christmas. School is out, and people are shopping and meeting up with some friends to catch up and celebrate. I wouldn't go there if crowded like this afternoon though. The place was so loud with people talking that I couldn't have heard my friend. They get 3 stars from me because the coffee and a pastry were delicious. read more

Good coffee, super busy everytime I've been there. One downside is that the menu they have displayed isn't their entire menu. So be sure to check out their online menu if there's something you want. read more

I came in late this morning after running an errand or two. It wasn't necessarily prime coffee time but the place was packed. There wasn't a place to sit down really but I made it work. Service was great and with a smile. The latte art was top notch. And the coffee was delicious. I would go further and take a star off for their chocolate chip cookie, but decided not to because they're not a bakery, they're a coffee joint. And as far as coffee goes, it was awesome. read more

I am obsessed!! I've been bored w the same old coffee and uncomfortable lobby at Starbucks so I decided to branch out a bit. I am so happy I did! I haven't been to such a cozy, artsy and homey place like this since I moved to oregon last year. Coffee is great, good oat milk lattes and the bakeryyyy. So good. Highly recommend. :-) read more

Their coffee is amazing (white chocolate mocha is my favorite), but on two occasions now, I have tried to politely educate some of their staff about their gluten free food offerings. I have had Celiac for 20 years and definitely have the knowledge of cross contamination and how to safely offer GF treats at a non-GF establishment. While I appreciate their willingness to offer GF snacks, if someone like me (with Celiac) wants to enjoy them, they have to be done safely, and this particular Insomnia is not. Both times I have gone in recently, their GF coffee cake was sitting on the same parchment paper as their gluten-filled pastries. This time, the GF coffee cake was actually touching a non-GF cinnamon roll, effectively making it contaminated and no longer GF. I have tried to talk to the same girl employee there about it both times and she seemed put off by my suggestions (all done respectfully by me), and nothing has changed. If they are not able to keep GF items safe from non-GF items, that is OK! Just PLEASE do not advertise any of it to be GF because I fear for those sensitive like me will get sick because they were not taking (simple) precautions to truly ensure their advertised GF items are, in fact, GF. read more

Prices are a little high. I went to this coffee shop about 7 times excited to have a new local shop. The staff are friendly most of the time, but there isn't a rewards system and the coffee is not always made well. Good ambiance though. read more

So happy that we have Insomnia so close to our apartment. I wasn't sure what to order today and the girl behind the counter recommended vanilla late with steamed oat milk with cinnamon. It was love at first sip. Welcome to the neighborhood Insomnia I'm glad you are here! read more

I have been going to Insomnia for years and they have had consistently delicious drinks and food and excellent customer service. The pastries are fresh and there is often a good variety. The breakfast sandwiches are amazing and never taste like they were simply a microwaved sandwich. The employees are warm and welcoming and often make conversation when they are not slammed. The only thing I wish they had was coconut milk as a milk alternative as they currently have hemp, almond and soy. Great environment that makes you want to stay and enjoy your beverage with others or solo. Their COVID restrictions are appropriate and functional as well read more

I have given this place 6 chances to get it right. None of the workers know how to make their drinks they taste different every time and they are never good I always have to ask them to do other things to make it taste decent. One day I ordered an Raspberry Italian Soda and it was THE best! I went back to get another after I had bragged about how good it was and this worker did not know how to make it! Wasted $10! I went back again in hopes that the young lady who made it before would be there again nope! Wasted more money. I really wanted this coffee shop to work for me but I tried again today and it was even worse! This girl had no idea what she was doing! I watched her struggle to make my drink and I knew once she finished playing Barista my drink would be gross and it was. My Raspberry Italian Soda was white as snow it looked like a cup of Milk. At this point I'm done this place will not stay open with the inconsistency and slow workers. Coffee drinkers know good coffee and these workers just don't know what they are doing. I blame the owners know what's going on in your establishment how about care too! And take Italian Sodas off of your menu you don't know how to make them! read more
