Went at the end of November 2017 to get my computer fixed. Now - year and 2 months later the computer doesn't work again for the same problem and they want to charge me to fix the same problem. That's crazy to have to pay for same repair twice. A complete rip off. 60 day policy....you know wants you can do with that. You guys are thieves and I should've known better. We went to Inside Laptops with a Dell XPS 13 laptop which did not charge. We thought it was the battery, but it was the power jack, which he replaced as he had the part. We were very happy, as we had bought a new battery (which did not work) but we were able put in the original one and it started to work immediately. I had an issue with my screen (which i replaced myself) on my Lenovo Yoga Pro 3. After installing the new screen the machine would not reboot. I took it to geek squad and they told me it would be out for 1 to 2 weeks. I found Inside Laptops on google and called to see if i was comfortable with their abilities. I can say, "They were Great." They had me bring it right in. The placed was busy, so I had to wait about 10 minutes but they couldn't have been nicer or more professional. They opened the my laptop up and found the issues and i was out the door 20 mintues later. It couldn't have been a better expereince. I now have a goto computer repair company in Miami. read more

I took my laptop to Inside Laptop for the first time recently because it died. After a few minutes of testing my laptop with some cables, without opening it, one of the two owners, Jorge, told me that my files could be recovered for a fee of $140 to change the hard drive and repair the operation system. The service was fast and in less than a week the work was completed with a 60 day warranty.. Jorge refused to accept credit card payment and asked I pay with cash. A red stamp 'PAID" was placed on my final invoice. I was very disappointed when still within the 60 day warranty, my laptop started to show the same malfunctioning symptoms that it had before it died i.e. shutting down by itself, turning back on by itself and freezing so many times within the hour which I could not do any work at all.. I took my laptop back to owner Jorge to check the problem again but after no more than 5 minutes limited to just turning on my laptop, he verified that the laptop shut down suddenly by itself but even with that evidence, the owner Jorge quickly dismissed any problem with the work he did and quickly blame any fault on my cable or my home wall electric outlet. There couldn't be a worst insult to injury behavior from a service provider who refuses good customer service and guaranteed satisfaction than this owner Jorge. He does not admit any responsibility. Jorge did not even bother to open the laptop for further testing. When I left his shop,. I went back home feeling terribly convinced that he had given me a BS of an excuse and being fully aware there was no problem with my cable or electric wall unit at home. Besides, he tested it with his own cable. Meanwhile, the problems were getting worse and my warranty was going to expire in a less than 10 days.. A week later, I took my laptop back to Jorge for a second time after the "repair" before the warranty expired in 2 days, but this time around he did open my laptop, removed the 3 year old "new HP hard drive" he claimed to have replaced my original Toshiba hard drive, inserted a used hard drive for further testing, turned my laptop back on, and because it did not shut down suddently, his response was "SEE? there's nothing wrong with the hard drive I placed." He then, placed back the 3 year old "HP hard drive" he sold me for $140.00 and washed his hands that there was no problem with the work he did in January 2014. The next day the warranty expired and I was stuck with the problems. So what did I do? I took my laptop to an independent laptop technician with numerous and excellent consumer reviews in Yelp and he told me that the problem with my laptop was the MOTHER BOARD (inside the laptop) caused by someone who worked with my laptop that tried to repair it but couldn't and, and messed it up to the point of beyond repair. He replaced it with a NEW mother board for a reasonable fee of $125 which included a $25.00 diagnostic fee.. I told Jorge at Inside Laptop about the diagnostic given to me by the independent technician with excellent and numerous consumer reviews, that the mother board was the problem (which he messed up). What did Jorge do? He offered to repair my mother board for $150.00 and told me that if he needed to replace it I would have to pay much more. At the recommendation of the new independent technician, I asked Inside Laptops to return my original hard drive to me, but the other Inside Laptops owner told me that because I did not asked for it, it was discarded. I also learned in March 2014 from the independent technician that Inside Laptop replaced my original hard drive with a 3 year old hard drive made in 2011 and could not understand why Inside Laptops did not replace it with a most recent 2013 hard drive available in most shops. I brought this concern to the attention of the owner Jorge at Inside Laptop but he quickly dismissed it by telling me that his business is not a car dealer for a customer to ask for a 2013 hard drive as if shopping for a car.. My recommendations to any consumer considering to take his or her laptop to Inside Laptop is #1 request in writing that any hard drive removed from your laptop be replaced with a most recent version, and not a 3 or 4 year old hard drive, #2 put in writing that original hard drive be returned to you. You might be surprised to find out from an independent technician that your hard drive might still be in good condition and save $140.00. Remember you have a 60 day warranty to dispute any problems with Inside Laptops. The independent technician that REPLACED my mother board for $125.00 told me that he strongly believed my original Toshiba hard drive removed from my laptop and replaced by Inside Laptops with a 2011 HP hard drive, might still be in good condition; DON'T PAY WITH CASH. PAY WITH CREDIT CARD. DON'T PAY UNTIL THEY COMPLY WITH YOUR REQUEST #1 AND #2.. I would not recommend Inside Laptops to family, friends, or acquaintances. read more

the port for the power cable on my dell laptop was broken. best buy geek squad said $400 to fix it (and that i should just get a new computer for that amount), and even dell tech support said $180 and it would be 2 weeks without my laptop. i found inside laptops off of a simple google search for a computer repair place in miami and i am so glad i trusted it. the guy knew exactly what to do right when he saw it, and it was a $80 same day fix (same flat rate as advertised on their website). no complaints with the service from beginning to end. read more

I'd highly recommend Inside Laptops to anyone needing a repair. I bumped my USB flash drive against a table and the top cracked, making it unreadable in my computers USB port. I had some important documents saved in the drive, so I frantically started searching for a USB data repair place. The first place I went to said there was nothing they could do to salvage the data in the USB. I then stopped by Inside Laptops. Jorge, was very nice and friendly, he took one look at the USB and said, let me see what I can do. In less than 10 minutes, he was able to piece back together my USB. These guys are AMAZING. My boyfriend spilled coffee on my laptop and I was panicking that it wouldn't be salvageable. I went to geek squad at Best Buy who basically told me there was nothing they could do and they would have to ship it off somewhere to have someone look at it, which would take at minimum 2 weeks. I happened to see this place as I was driving after my visit to geek squad and decided to give it a try. They were extremely honest and got it back to me in working condition within a couple of hours. The keyboard needed to be replaced, so the owner lent me an external keyboard to use while I waited for the new one to come in. Extremely kind and helpful!!
