BUMMED!! After 6 months, my husband and I finally get a date night out. We planned our night with a big group of family and decided insert coin would be a great stop. WRONG. We're there a little over an hour when their bartender decides to cut off my husband. My husband had only had two drinks, was not slurring or stumbling or even buzzed. He was not driving, we had a pregnant DD in our group driving for that reason. I don't know if that bartender has a power trip or what his deal is but we won't be back. After hearing him tell another customer "I can make an old fashioned but I won't". I think the issues may be all his own. The other waitress was a doll and very friendly, no issues. So we leave, go to a neighboring establishment and continue our night where he gets served with no issues. Insert coin was a bust and so are their warm drinks. Most of the staff is super friendly. The atmosphere is fun the food side has video game machines and tvs to play as you wait for your food. All the retro games are free. The games in the games room are paid. Now the most amazing thing is the pizza. I have never had such great pizza. My family loves Insert Coin. They are super attentive to machines having issues and hardly is there ever an out of order sign on them. The games guy knows how to fix most issues with these games. Little is beyond him. I reserved their party room for my daughters birthday and I was horribly dissatisfied with the staff and the overall atmosphere. First the entire place smelled like Woodstock '69. The pot smell was so strong it almost knocked you on your rear! Now this was for my 9 year old's bday so you can imagine the upset there. Now let's move on to the changes, they doubled charged me only to tell me one of the "charges" was just an authorization and the money would be back in my account Monday, well it's not and now I will be back on the phone with management today. I was looking through Yelp for cool spots to check out and low & behold, this was one of them. First of its kind for the area and located close to the sports bars too! Classic arcade games galore that take quarters to operate. Definitely a good time for children and even adults to get competitive. They have a beer wall for self-serve but be warned, if you're not good at self-serve you'll end up with more foam than beer. You receive 1 drink card per adult if you're doing self-serve. They have a wide variety for those looking for certain beers. The food was classic bar food and tasted as such. Place was packed, so business was booming! Wasn't so sure about this place, thinking it was a gimmick to get people into the establishment, so wasn't expecting great food. However food was awesome, we had stuffed burgers which were so good and cooked perfectly, both tater tots and fries were golden brown and crispy.... Perfect. Food was reasonable if not undervalued, would of paid more and been happy. Arrived around 5pm and place was very Familly friendly. Will return for food anytime, will need to go check out the retro games also. Staff was pleasant and perfect amount of not hovering. I hope they keep this up. read more

Loved this place. Always make it a point to find local arcades that have all of the vintage games that are hard to find now a days. A lot of places make you buy tokens. Tons of quarters needed, playing cards. This is not the case. They have a section where you can buy a card to play new games tickets, but all vintage games are free! I have seen places that charge by the hour with unlimited play for a certain amount, but not free games. The beer wall was a plus. Pour your own beer and pay by the oz. Sample everyone you want for about .40 an oz, or less. Why get stuck with a beer that you don't like? Will definitely go back to this family friendly place. read more

YES YES YES!!!! I LOVE THIS PLACE!!!!!!!! My fiancé and I just bought a house in Centralia and when we were walking around downtown just looking around, we found it. First of all, the retro game atmosphere is great. The mini NES systems with all the games we played as kids are a great touch. The food is really good. It's a lot better than the standard burgers and fries I expected. I'm in love with their garlic fries. And for a real treat, dip them in the chipotle aioli. It's like a party in your mouth. They have some really unique mixed drinks that taste amazing too. But my favorite thing about Insert Coin by far is the beer wall. They have an entire wall of beer taps with a rotating assortment from beer & cider to seltzer & wine. You get a card from the counter that allows you a certain amount of inches in total to pour. (I can't remember how much off hand though.) You take your card to the beer wall, grab a pint glass or glasses for a flight, and pour as much or as little of each one as you want. I had a flight and about half a pint with my first card and it only cost a few cents over $8. You can go back up and have them refill your card with another "X" ounces, then go back and do it all again. They don't have a limit on how many times they'll top off your card, but they'll stop serving you if they think you've had too much, which of course is a good thing. It's all ages during the day and evening, but after 9 pm it's 21 & over so it's a fun place for the family, a group of friends, or a unique date night. We've lived here a little over 2 months and been back 7 or 8 times both with and without the kids. If you haven't been there, go!! If you have, keep going back!! Arcades are becoming a thing of the past so I'd like to see this place stick around for years to come. read more

The bartenders pay no attention to the order of who shows up to get a drink at the bar nor do they acknowledge that they see you waiting. 3. The bartended drink tasted god awful. 3. The beer wall is a brilliant idea, but it does not tap out of the beer properly.. You'll pay 10 dollars for all foam. Its a known problem apparently and it's only "certain beers" but they continue to serve them on the wall. Please train your bartenders and the greeter. The 1 waitress that was there was very sweet. This was a great place. Atmosphere, food, drink options, and games. It was so nice to see some old school games. It was great to see that they do have hours for just adults to go in and enjoy it with the kids but it is very family friendly too. I can't wait to go back and take my nephew this summer. I've ordered food to go a few times and apparently they get confused on the to go orders. Last time my salad was absence of chicken that I paid for. I love the idea of this especially for lewis county, but so many things on our visit were huge misses. Biggest problem was issue with either order with waitress who came to our table once to give us beer cards and menus vs ordering via website. She told us it was better to order from her when we asked, but after 20 minutes and she didn't come back our group of 3 families proceeded to order via the app all within span of 5 minutes at the same table. When she did come back after we ordered already and we had one person in our group who is a regular here wanted to order an appetizer that wasn't on the menu online so she put that in and was back with that in less than 10 minutes. After 45 minutes 2 of our groups got their food and the last group was another 30 minutes after the first group with quesadilla and grilled cheese one person's burger completely missing and when we asked were told that hadn't even made it yet. It arrived less than 5 minutes later but completely wrong, but she was starving at this point so ate it anyways. Waitress appeared completely annoyed with us that we didn't order from her and gave us the impression that if we would have ordered from her we wouldn't have experienced any issues never offered any apology for the mistakes or delays. Because of our experience with the waitress and her attitude towards us we didn't feel like leaving another tip for our beer cards so we put it in zero tip drop box, but when I checked my credit card my total was almost $3 dollars more than the total I checked right before we left. On a positive the food was pretty good and the kids had fun playing games and I was told by the people with us that they've never had this experience before. read more

This is a fantastic little spot and lots of fun for adults and kids. I believe my favorite is the "Attack from Mars" is my favorite game. I have a weakness for pinball. The food...yum. I LOVE the spicy garlic wings...yummy :) . The drinks are absolutely wonderful. The beer wall has a good variety. A must visit. read more
