My boyfriend, friends and I had a fun double date here as we were waiting to do trivia elsewhere and decided to check out all the cool nerdy spots in Olympia to kill some time. We stopped by here and saw the mixture of old and new arcade games from shooters, pinball, rhythm games, claw machines, and they even had a neat prize area which was super nostalgic. The staff here is friendly and attentive! They do have some booths and bar stools to sit at if you want to take a small break and properly to enjoy your food as I know they do server food and drinks here. However, I didn't notice that the kitchen was in a separate part of the arcade so we didn't get to check it out that but I saw they do have some creative menu item names. They also do trivia as well as a good happy hour! Definitely worth checking out and it is well priced for an arcade so great for date nights, family time, etc. read more

Mini golf was fun. Small course but creative. Lots of pinball games if that's your thing. Good prices. Just wish they answered their phone more often. Both my wife and I tried calling several times during business hours to confirm if they were open and couldn't get them to pick up. Hopefully this can improve so they don't lose business. read more

Came here with Jaric while exploring downtown Olympia and it was fun! About $20 to last us an hour in the arcade and we played different games, including basketball, air hockey, driving, shooting, and claw machines. Worth the price, especially if you pace yourself. A bit tight, though, so would bump into others a lot, which could get a bit frustrating if you are really into a game and looking to really win. Photo Booth to the side, but limited filters. $5 for 2 strips. And there is a bar to the side through another entrance way that I did not check out, but did not seem as lively when I passed by. read more

The bartender was fabulous and the best part of our visit. Unfortunately, it smelled terrible when we first walked in. Like the body odor of the gamers just permeated the space. If we weren't there for a birthday, I would have left. There are lots of rooms and lots of games. No idea how much things cost because I didn't pay. Sorry. I would maybe consider going back. On a recent trip to Seattle, I drove down to Olympia just to check out Legends Arcade. This place is a game changer (no pun intended). It totally took me back to my childhood and won me over, seeing the joy experienced by such a diverse community of game lovers. The place drew people cross-generationally from different ethnicities, gender identities, and socio-economic backgrounds. It was literally "fun for everyone". They have an array of standup game consoles, pinball machines, machine carnival games, first-person seated games, and a few competitive table games. Such variety to choose from. And most of the games were two token games, which you can purchase at the exchange machine using cash or by making a credit card purchase at the bar counter. There are also a variety of drinks (adult beverages and soft drinks) and candy to purchase. I know this place just opened, but I hope they expand. With a buildout, I can totally see upping their snack game, serving drinks from tap, adding more cocktail table arcade games, and even hosting tournaments. The possibilities are endless. read more

I'll start by saying that Legends is a nice place and the staff are very welcoming. It's a good addition to Olympia. That said, I was a bit disappointed. I realize they're relatively new, but the offering of old-school 80's vintage games is, to be honest, pretty lacking. Joust, Dig-Dug, Tempest, Defender, Battlezone, Track & Field, etc., are unfortunately missing from their collection. Most of their games are newer, more modern ones that don't quite bring back the arcade nostalgia of my 80's childhood. Due to the limited selection, I ran out of games to play within the hour, where I would have preferred to spend a few hours getting lost in the vibe. The other thing that was a bit disappointing was the price of the games. Most of the games were $1.00 per play, with a couple cabinets being $.50, and as you've read in other reviews, they do use tokens, available via machine or at the counter. Personally, I would like to see the selection of games increased, and the price lowered to the traditional $.25. I do, however, realize the reality that a business has to make money. By adding food service, they could easily make-up the profit difference in food and drinks, while providing a true 80's nostalgia. By adding additional old-school games and restaurant-style tables and chairs for groups of 4 (or more), they would encourage people to stay longer, eat, drink, socialize, have more game offerings to play. Legends is a very enjoyable, clean place and is a good start for a new business, and I would very much like to see them succeed and grow. read more

The best way to describe Legends Arcade would be "comfort food"- it's warm and nostalgic, while still fresh and exciting and definitely a treat. I brought my husband in shortly after they first opened, and we're already planning a return trip when friends come into town soon. The variety of games is on pointe, and even when I'm (sorely) losing in Street Fighter or driving my Corvette off a cliff during a race, I'm still having the best time. We had my kids nine year old party at Legends and they were awesome. The private room was huge with free games to play. We got the package that the kids got a bunch of tokens and all the kids loved roaming thru the arcade trying and having a blast with many Old School games. The adults that came to drop off the kids came back early NOT to pick up their kids but to play the arcade games without their kids! Ha! Nothing like some no stakes competition on old school arcade games to have share laughs and reminisce on how much better we were at these games 20, ok ok 30 yrs ago. Literally my favorite place to be downtown!! It's one of the only places in Oly open past midnight that just another bar. Wide selection of video games and pinball machines, and they also have board games in their new expansion. Favorite memory is when they stayed open a little later so my friend and I could beat the Simpsons game, which had been a goal of mine since I was a kid. Love this place. read more

This place is perfect! Old and New games, all in great condition....as well as bumper pool, foosball and skeeball. It has a really cool Olympia Vibe while still feeling super clean and modern. Nice location and staff, good prices on drinks, well maintained machines. Decent but small selection of games. I'm a huge arcade fan so I really wanted to support this local venture. Unfortunately the token system feels incredibly stingy. Either cut the prices for all non-prize games in half (at least), or add a door fee of $8-$10, increase drink prices and put everything on free play like all other modern retro arcades do. The game selection is simply too old and slim to justify the current pricing. Will keep coming by to show support either way, but I would have easily spent twice the time and money there as I did if it was cheaper. Passed on quite a few games just because I couldn't justify the cost to myself. read more

If NO stars were available I'd give them none. Not because it was freezing inside or because we came in and didn't get welcomed by the two young women, But because we came in and paid for coins and my daughter won prize(s) after MULTIPLE tries of the same claw machine. The two girls that were at the bar/cashier station didn't seem very excited for her and the lady with red hair moved machine and unplugged it. My daughter was super excited on This family outing and honestly they killed our whole happy spirits.
