This is a cool, cozy, bowling alley. I've only been once, because they don't have long hours, and that's probably my only complaint. The prices are extremely reasonable and the seating area are large comfortable booths!!! Booths I say! Yes. They also have very modern computers for their bowling lanes including high tech lane projections. Saturday is Lightning bowl with fun games to play using the projection systems. There is a snack bar and pro shop. It's a small little alley, but very reasonably priced and well appointed for its size. The shoes were comfortable and fit well. I've lived here my entire life and somehow managed to never go here until today. We normally go to Westside Lanes (which is meh) but they didn't have open lanes today so we decided to give Aztec Lanes a try and are SO glad we did! It's our new favorite bowling alley in the Lacey/Olympia area by far. We came in on a Sunday around noon with a party of 4 (two adults and two kids) and it was fairly dead. There were like 4 lanes being used (out of 12) and the overall vibe was really welcoming, clean, and family friendly. The gal working the front counter was very nice (which was a nice change from Westside lanes, lol) and the house balls were well labeled and plentiful. They also have bottled beer, energy drinks, slushies, candy, and a full menu. We didn't eat but the food looked (and smelled) good. Looking forward to coming back without the kids during the late night glow bowl. read more

Stay away from the nachos! We ordered their nachos for $10 and they were PA-THE-TIC! There were a tiny bit of toppings, and the rest was crumbled chips from the bottom of the bag! The attached image is of our chips after we had already eaten many of the small chip pieces. As for bowling, nice place...on the inside. My crew that im traveling and working with today, are a little furious. Aztec lanes was across the street from our objective, so we decided to lunch here. Great atmosphere, seems half the town was here bowling. We ordered, first the price was outrageous, I ordered a double bacon burger with fries and a slushie....$22.50!! But thats not what I'm mad about.....my friend Natalie, ordered a personal pan pizza. When the pizza came, there was a long blonde hair actually cooked into the pizza! When she took it up to the lady who made it, the last kinda shrugged her shoulders at Natalie, and asked if she'd like her to throw the remainder of the pizza away? That was her solution?? This is actually a pretty cool little bowling alley. It's only 12 lanes but the interactive lanes are a lot of fun. They have a ton of interactive options to choose from on the score keeper machine. The food was pretty good too for bowling alley food. I would actually say the burgers are better than most franchise fast food joints. Women who worked there lacks basic people skills. Asked for a lane on the right and she just said "nope". I then Said "Ok well then we are leaving bye". It was an honest request that could have been fulfilled but she seemed to not care it was her way or the highway. The place is small and scummy too so I wasn't about to waste my time putting up the staff bullshit . Not paying you to accommodate the workers you want customers accommodate them. Staff was incredibly rude and had no problems ruining a 4 year olds birthday. We called over a month ago to set up a birthday package for my son, literally asking for this very thing and what to do to set it up, and we were told nothing about having to put a deposit down or whom to speak to, ANYTHING. We explained what we wanted to do and all we were told are the hours of open play before close and prep for league play. Having planned children's birthdays before we assumed we would need to at least reserve a time or make a deposit or something. Having been told nothing about this, dispite out very clear intentions, we went with it and came in today, 3/27/22, for my son's small get together. As we were bringing in presents, we were scolded my the woman working with long blonde hair telling us as we brought a box of presents in "that's not a cake is it? There's no outside food allowed". Obviously we were confused, so I went to talk to her about events up to this point. The blonde woman very rudely stated that we didn't place a deposit and there's nothing reserved, obviously because when we called and asked about this very thing we were never given any instructions to do so, and her response was an incredibly loud and rude "well, you didn't. Otherwise there wouldn't be a problem. Maybe you should have called when April is here, she's the one that sets these things up". How in the world am I supposed to have known what I should have done, who I should have talked to, when never being told to do so after freaking trying to do this very thing well in advance?! She continued to glare at me until I left the front counter to be with my family. Afterwards she had no problem swinging her self righteous weight around hovering over our lane making my children very uncomfortable. Now mind you never once did I demand any specific action. I didn't want to be reimbursed anything I was just asking for help. I'm never that person that likes to complain, even when it's warrented. I even clean up my own tables before leaving restaurants after eating. I would have been willing to clean the booth and table myself I just wanted to be able to bring my child's birthday cake in if only to let just the kids have a slice. If not I understand. But seriously not even am I'm sorry" for the false information. I clearly wasn't of any consideration to her as a paying customer and she didn't mind showing it either. After this encounter with the heavy set blonde wearing crocs, very professional by the way, and the kid that looks like he's 12 behind the counter, it took every ounce of me to not take the last of my son's birthday cake, which we had to eat in the parking lot since we couldn't take it inside, and just chuck it at her face. Needless to say, we won't be back. Thanks for ruining a 4 year olds birthday. Very cool. I HIGHLY encourage the staff to get off their phones while working and take some customer service training, cus it's garbage right now. Also check your parking lot more often. Had we not been forced to have my son's birthday cake in the parking lot I doubt anyone would have seen the used needles in the parking stalls. Thankfully I work in the medical field and do keep a first aid kit with a sharps container in my vehicle. And as I was reading about the dumbasses who've seemingly never been to a bowling alley before, I realized my girlfriend and I went here a while ago on an Amazon coupon thingy she bought on a whim. Kids, I've doen my fair share of travelling, and this is one of the NICEST bowling alleys I've ever been in. We had a great time, the management was NOT a jerk, and it was dirt cheap. I'm frankly a little ashamed to live in a city so community based where three of the four people from a perceived slight each post about the same instance trying to ruin a small business. The place is fine but the staff are rude. We had a team banquet here from 4-6. Guy threw my daughter's plate of food away and made her cry. The banquet wasn't even over yet. Lady yelled at our kids playing in an area we didn't know they couldn't play in. I'm all for safety but there are different ways to express it. That place was PACKED, so we got a few drinks and headed to Aztec. The outside isn't much to look at, but the inside is nice. Good service and got us set up quickly. Shoes were also new and clean. Inside nice enough: recently updated. Food is standard bowling alley junk that takes forever to arrive. Employees so-so in responsiveness. But they advocate violence against others in the community. I understand being frustrated with vandalism or whatnot. But that doesn't make it okay to urge 'open season' on drug addicts. Why not try advocating for better treatment and therapy for addicts? This is super disappointing, as the other bowling alley in town is much farther away. However, I can't in good conscience patronize somebody advocating violence. read more

My wife and I bowled a couple games here and really enjoyed ourselves. While the outside of the building is not much to look at, the interior was just completely remodeled and looks nicer than any bowling alley I've ever been to. The benches/chairs, countertops, floors, etc. are all nicely done. And the staff were very prompt and friendly. We would definitely go back. read more

If you want to go bowling and live in Olympia, this is the place to go, since it's the only place to go. The inside is nice enough, though a bit small. They have bumpers for the kids and the place is clean. Their customer service is sub-par though. When we bowled here, the ball got stuck several times and I had to go searching for the guy in charge since there was no one at the front desk. He did fix it right away each time but always with a sigh and leaving me feeling like I was such a bother. Then today I called to ask a question about the hours they accept a coupon I have, the woman on the line rudely says "Just like it says right on the coupon, Tuesday-Saturday", with a sigh. For the record, I was looking at this coupon on my smartphone and it did not state that anywhere, just told me to show them the coupon on my phone when I got there. But even if it did have the information on there, is that the way you talk to a customer? I am a business owner, I would never dream of talking to a customer that way. My kids love to bowl and this is the only place to go, yet spending my money at a place that treats it's customer's with such disrespect leaves me with a sour taste in my mouth. My family and I always have fun at this place (we've been 3 or 4 times) and we've never had a problem with the staff like some others on here. The girl at the food counter is very nice. I have interacted with the manager and he seems a little off, but not rude. He may have some sort of disorder that affects social skills like Aspererger's; that would explain why he has trouble looking people in the eyes. He was fine the last time I went (3/25). The place does look sketchy on the outside, but it's pretty nice on the inside and the bathrooms have been newly renovated. Nothing I hate more than bowling alleys with crappy bathrooms, but the ones at Aztec are nice. My family ordered hamburgers and fries and the burgers were just OK (like homemade burgers) but the fries were really good. I found the prices to be inexpensive. I think it was $4.50 for a burger with fries. Overall, my family and I really like the place. I would suggest that you at least try it once. The only reasons I give it 4 stars instead of 5 is that the eating area can stand some updating and a more fun ambiance. read more

Hi - these guys are pretty great. I recently got back into bowling and needed to get a ball drilled. I walked in the door and they took care of me right away. Took the time to watch my approach, release, and put together the right layout. Super nice and friendly. Prices were more than fair. To add - 12 lanes I think and the place is spotless. New technology/score keepers. A hidden gem! I'll be back with my kids this weekend and many more. Awesome little joint. Highly recommend the pro shop to anyone who is remotely serious about bowling. I gave one star because of the extremely rude customer service. We came during the week in the daytime. The lady at the front counter was very rude, and unfriendly. They also did not have a "chair roller" thing for small children to roll the ball with, which we needed. And they only gave us one light ball for two kids. I pulled over into the Aztec lanes bowling alley parking lot to put water in my car. Where the owner was outside and yelled at me that it wasn't a park and ride. I promptly responded with I know, I was putting water in my car because it was over heating. He told me I needed to find a different parking lot and we exchanged words. As a customer and someone that frequently takes my family bowling. Very rarely do I give one star on here; however, I'd give this place NO stars if I could. The manager here should be FIRED! He's rude, has no customer service skills, AND is a JERK! I came here today for my wife's birthday, as she's been wanting to go bowling for the longest time. I happened to have seen a coupon for this place on LivingSocial, and thought it sounded like a deal... it included, or so I thought, two hours of bowling, shoes, and a drink for four people for $22. When we first got there, I handed the coupon to the man behind the counter. He made a remark along the line of "oh, you have one of those," and proceeded to grab the coupon, write a few things down, and then handed us our shoes. We then grabbed our sodas and headed to our lane. Despite the fact that this place was virtually empty, the guy tried to stick us between two families with several children. I thought this was odd, as there really wasn't any room for us between the two, and eventually asked if we could move. The man obliged and soon we moved over a few lanes and began to bowl. After finishing our second game, we assumed the machine was going to turn off and our session would be over. Yet, to our surprise, it started a third game. Although we were getting tired, we figured we'd play the game until the machine locked up since we assumed our two hours was almost over. Yet, to our surprise, we finished the entire game. Again, we thought the machine was going to lock up... but it didn't. We began to discuss whether or not we should play another game when the people next to us encouraged us to stay as we were all sort of goofing off and having fun. After that last game ended, we decided enough was enough and went to turn in our shoes. A new guy was behind the counter by that time, and when my little brother turned his shoes in, the guy was like, "okay, that'll be $30." My little brother explained we had a coupon and the guy very sharply replied "well, you played extra games." At that point I jumped in and asked what he was talking about. The man very curtly said "the coupon was for two games, you played four." So I began explaining that the coupon said two hours and that we were actually surprised the machine didn't lock up before we stopped playing. He very quickly blew off what I said, explained it said two games, and that we owed him $30. He then pulled out the coupon and pointed to the fine print, where it said two games, not two hours. I explained that obviously I made a mistake and didn't understand why our session continued if we had only paid for two games. He shot back that it was our fault, we shouldn't of kept playing. (If this doesn't stink like a SCAM, I don't know what does! Every bowling alley I've ever been to only lets you play for the amount of time you paid for and then shuts off). He then went on about how we bought the coupon and should have read the fine print. When I pointed out the fact that they had taken it when I got there, he said it was still my fault since I bought it. At this point, I asked to speak to the manager... and the guy quickly shot back "I am the manager." I should note that not once did the guy ever look at me the entire time of our confrontation. I asked if we could split the difference since I didn't think it was solely our fault when the guy cut me off and implied not only would he make us pay the full amount, but that I was ridiculous for asking. Realizing this man was not only a jerk, but had a bad attitude, I grudgingly pulled out my wallet and paid as it was my wife's birthday after all and I didn't want to ruin it completely! Needless to say, I not only won't be returning here but I will make sure to let LivingSocial and the Better Business Bureau know that this place is running a seedy business at best and is trying to SCAM their customers at worst! read more

Took my two boys, ages 4 & 9 and another 9 year old here to bowl a game in the afternoon. Too bad Donkey K. didn't take the time to go inside. It was nice, clean and no sign of a bar anywhere. We came here for with a living social deal for four people, and had a great time except when we checked out. The asshole guy at the desk asked who was going to pay for the balance. We were confused because we had a coupon and he said it was only good for two games for four people. We bowled four games because we thought the coupon was for two hours of bowling and the guy said when we checked in that it would turn off after we were done. We weren't keeping track of time or games and when we thought it was long enough, we stopped. The guy was totally rude and blamed us for not knowing what our coupon was for. Well it's kinda hard to know what the coupon is exactly when you take it from us when we checked in. Anyway this guy claimed to be the manager. It was an honest mistake that I'm sure everyone with this coupon will do. He flat out refused to give us a deal, or at least split the cost. He didn't even care when we said we would never come here again. He wouldn't even look us in the face when he talked to us. Don't give your place your business. At EVERY bowling alley I've been to, the computer shuts off or at least tells you to purchase more games after the games you prepaid for are completed. The douche said that the computers don't work that way, which means they are trying to scam people. It cost us an extra $30 for four of us on top of the coupon. Great fun for a Friday night at the Lightening Bowl. Cheap, good music and all around fun time. The only caveat is if you are booking a large party, ask for two lanes. It's really difficult to get through 9 ppl game in one lane! And not enough seating. But the raffle drawings and the music requests were bonuses . Will consider every Friday night as an option!
