I've been here 3 times now. The first time I stopped in I had yet to have eaten dinner. My friend and I stopped into the bar where a live cover band was playing. They were pretty good and entertaining. We ordered the Nachos, which is quite possibly the largest serving of nachos I've ever seen, they filled an entire large pizza pan, piled high with every topping imaginable including both queso and cheddar cheese with lots of meat. We defeated them however. Our server was very friendly and we enjoyed the music while eating and watching people bowl through the windows looking at at the bowling area. After eating we headed over to go bowl. The alley itself is huge. It has that old 1970's vibe that many older bowling alleys still possess. I suppose it could use a little updating in that regard, but at the same time it gives off a feeling of nostalgia. There was a wide variety of music playing from the jukebox which can be used via an app on your phone. There's also a snack bar in the bowling area where you can order from the restaurant / bar. The bowling computers were up to date, and the lanes were clean with plenty of seating. There were also a sufficient amount of courtesy balls to use. (I need to have my own ball re-drilled) The guests around us were also friendly and fun. It is a very social environment but not rowdy or unruly. The bowling area also has lots of arcade games and other fun things to play. It's a very fun place to spend a free Saturday evening, but be sure to leave some extra time as there may be a wait for a lane if they're busy. One little tidbit of advice / criticism... the bowling shoes are mostly badly worn and the pair I had kept sticking so I couldn't slide my feet properly when throwing the ball. It nearly caused me to stumble multiple times. Also... most of the shoes cover multiple sizes meaning they weren't an exact fit which also didn't help. New shoes please? Also... a moonlight bowling or blacklight bowling night is a must... get one! read more

I don't even know where to begin. I wouldn't even give one star if I didn't have to. The people behind the front desk look like someone killed their cat. The food options have dwindled and are terrible, not to mention took over 30 mins to get to our lane. I cannot understand how $40/hr to bowl seems reasonable to anyone? The owner Dillon has been treating people in the community horribly with online harassment and trying to keep them silent about the bad business being practiced. I thought I'd give it a shot anyways to see for myself. Big mistake - I will never go back and never tell anyone to go there again. read more

My family went bowling last week and I was astonished at how rude their customer service was. Seems to be a common theme, by reading other reviews. Does the owner not care? We arrived right when they opened and the friends we were meeting were just a minute away, so we asked for two lanes. No hello, no smile, no welcome, just a very rude and abrasive "are they almost here because we can't hold lanes." I understand that policy, but almost all the lanes were clear and the gal was so mean about it. Then I asked if we could get bumpers on one of the lanes, and instead of asking ages or anything, she said very rudely "only kids under 10 can have bumpers" (my daughter is 8). And then they proceeded to NOT give us bumpers even when I assured her all the kids bowling were under 10. Both employees at the front acted as though they hated their job and the world. We live a block away from this place so it's a convenient place to go, otherwise we would never step foot in this establishment again. read more

Large bowling alley with plenty of lanes. Separate bar/restaurant attached to the west side of the building. Another bar in the main building on the east side. Rental shoes are a bit outdated, but that's to be expected I guess. Decent food/drinks. I was thoroughly satisfied. Prices are competitive as well which was nice. Went here to enjoy some time with the wife and kiddo. We wanted to do some bowling and get a few burgers. Bowling was decent although they had everyone stacked into lanes like sardines even though the other half the alley was entirely empty. Food service was horrendous. Server took over 20 mins to get to us and then another 45 mins to have him come over and tell us he forgot our order and needed us to verify a couple of items we wanted. I was denied bumper on the lanes because I did not have a child on my party. However, their policy is ridiculous, in my party I had a mentally disabled adult however I did not feel like I have to explain myself the reason why I needed a bumper on the lane when other places grant you the bumpers. read more

Have you ever wanted a plate of nachos so big that you could use the plates to sail across the ocean. Or that had so much cheese on it that you could drowned an entire small village in a tsunami of cheese. Then this is the place for you bowling prices are average Lanes are well maintained. Although they could use more variety in the size of balls/finger holes that they have avalible. I don't like balls that are too light. And I can't handle balls that are too heavy with my bad wrist I need a nice average ball to be able to handle properly. I also felt like they could have been wiped down a little bit the ball seemed a little bit greasy there's nothing worse than greasy balls. More importantly is the hole size I'm a big guy and I need a big hole to shove my finger in. All these tight little holes means that most of the balls I couldn't even use what a shame. Clean your balls a little better and loosen up your holes and you would be the perfect bowling alley don't forget the nachos read more

This place has a pretty good bowling alley! The price is reasonable but would love if they had specials if you were playing multiple games. Many choices of food on the menu. Pizza taste cheap but I came there to bowl not to eat a whole meal. Main reason I gave a 2 star was because of the staff... the staff is absolutely terrible! Show no greeting smiles, always seem miserable. It seems like they don't even want to show up or talk to anyone, got kicked out because I had a outside drink. They have 0 humor especially the overweight cashier (yeh a little rude). Just terrible customer service. Wish they could switch out the whole staff! Except the waiter, he is very nice. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because it was pretty pricey. 3 games and 2 shoe rentals was $30+ (not totally sure what typical prices for bowling is but seemed to me expensive). Two words: Waffle Fries. As a person who visits the Westside Lanes about 2x a week (holy shit am I classy) I end up eating here rather frequently. While I've never actually gone to the restaurant, the service to the lanes is always good. But the main point of this review: Whatever you get, make sure to get waffle fries on the side. read more

Staff always seems to be an issue. My family headed out for some bowling, my wife went in to see if they had any open lanes, she observed several open and asked the staff what the cost was for a family of 7. We then proceeded to head in only to be told there was a two hour wait list and that the open lanes were reserved for someone at some future time ok fine no big deal but they could have mentioned that when we first asked. Then on 10-7 we called to inquire about reserving two lanes for a birthday bowl o rama. First off the person who answered obviously is not a people person, I have had better customer service from a MOP! We stated that we wanted to have a party but did not want the mildew smelling, filthy store room they use for parties. To which we were told then you can just come in and it's first come first serve. We then asked again if we could reserve 2 lanes and were told "we don't do that" so I am confused you reserve lanes but don't reserve lanes? We wanted the birthday deal only without the above mentioned "party room" so it made no sense what they were telling us, it seemed as if they just wanted to get off the phone and were rude enough that we won't ever go back to this place. read more

Visited Omalleys At Westside Lanes tonight with my brothers. Got to say I didn't really think that I would be impressed with this place. My boys all decided to keep it local tonight and make a walk to the bar so we wouldn't have to worry about walking home. We usually like to visit local haunts whenever possible so this was our target tonight. We have been here before to bowl and yes we grabbed a few drinks at the bar but that was at least 6 months ago. This place has renovated recently and it was actually quite interesting. With the newest addition of pool tables, and more seating AND BEER PONG TABLES, Dart boards and awesome drink specials I felt more like in a neighborhood bar than a bowling alley. The bartender instantly welcomed us and we recognized several local neighborhood faces. The crowd was a great mix of college aged girls and guys, middle aged adults, and a general Hodge podge of Olympia residents. We felt instantly at home. We ordered 4 rounds of drinks for 3 people and or tab came out to be $42. The pool tables were .75c and they had many local beers on tap with daily specials. We all had Jack and cokes with a beer chaser, one round was doubles. We did not order any food but they had a 3 page menu available of Burgers, Appetizers, and entrees available all very reasonably priced. Next visit I will report on the food...Expect an update. Spent 2 hours here and it felt more like 30 minutes. Thsis was a good decision of a night cap. Recommended for anyone that is looking for a place to feel like they are at home, welcomed and respected. I would rate the Price Range at 1 and a half dollar signs as the drinks averaged out at 3-4 per person per drink. read more

Worst bowling experience ever. Friend and I took our two young sons bowling, 3 and 4 years old. They would not let us use the ramp for the boys to bowl, very rude. Said they only let guest use it who really need it, there was only one other couple bowling!! After my son got his ball stuck after not pushing it far enough, we started walking up to get someone, then one of the workers passed us to go get the ball. He didn't even tell us he was going to get it much less say hello. Very rude service and employees, go elsewhere!!! read more

I have been going to Westside Lanes since I was very young and actually had my 7th birthday here back in 1997. I choose to go to Westside Lanes for the environment, bowling, pool and cocktails and of course the amazing employee's. A couple employee's that are absolutely outstanding are, Kandice, True and Steve. They are all very knowledgeable, attentive, entertaining and always treat me awesome (even though my bowling skills aren't as awesome). Will continue to go here for as long as I can! read more

The only reason to come here is the blues jam. With that, come expecting to wait the whole three hours to play, if at all. There is no list or format and you get to hear the same group of people play the same songs each time. Nice folks, but a little monotonous for a regular night out. About the location; Having been to this spot on several occasions, the bowling is maybe another reason to come out, but who does that anymore? All you need to know if you do go is, pay cash. I cannot overstate this. The waitstaff are slow, inattentive, and while not rude, are definitely aloof. There are way better music venues, (think Rhythm and Rye, or Oly Underground), and places with way better drinks/food around town to waste your time here. Let's just say I won't be coming here again. I came here to get some strikes but all the customer service did was strikeout. The cashier was very rude and didn't care about keeping the customers happy. We had to wait a whole hour just to bowl, then they kicked us out for having outside drinks in the lobby, and were just no help at all. Not to mention their terrible food options and dirty parking lot. I definitely do not recommend coming here, go to Aztec lanes instead. read more

Solid place for bowling. Ended up here on a Sunday evening after finding out another local place had summer hours that included being closed on Sunday. It was about 8pm and less than half of the lanes were being used. Shoe rental is $1, and each game on Saturday and Sunday is $3.50. The prices are lower Monday-Friday before 5pm and there are also different prices for adults, juniors and seniors. It's a flat price on the weekend. The place is clean enough but still has that kinda funky bowling alley smell and look to it- but would it be a bowling alley if it didn't? read more

Would never ever reccomend to anyone. Customer service was horrid. No one should have to say, "excuse me" to ask an honest question three times while waving their hands in the air standing three feet away from the "employee" and even then STILL be ignored by two people. No loud music. Then ask the lady the same thing only to get attitude and treated like a moron. Thennn ask why I asked a CUSTOMER where something might be. Well if you would have taken five seconds to say "sorry we don't have them" you wouldn't have such an upset customer. They don't deserve your time or money. Their attitudes are horrendous. I'm a league bowler at Westside lanes. I love the league and the establishment in general. What I don't like is the new guy running the pro-shop. He charged me $100 to get a ball drilled! I don't recommend going here for purchase of a ball or drilling unless you're looking to spend a lot of time and money for just okay work. I recommend going to Tumwater lanes for your ball and drilling needs. At least you won't get taken for a ride there. Also, his listed price for drilling was $60...not quite sure how that turned into $100. He said is was because of grips and aftercare which I equated to a whole lot of B.S. Buyer beware. 5 stars for Lanes. No stars for the way the pro-shop is run. read more

A group of 11 of us went there last night. There was a 45 minute wait which was okay. We bowled from about 10 pm - 1 am. All ages from 16-30. Two people from our group left earlier than others. They went up and paid and had their names removed. The end of the night came and we went up to pay. The people working couldn't get things straight. They mixed all our names up. Then tried to say the two people who left earlier never paid. We all said they did and the two people working up front continued to argue with us. At that point I decided to call the couple that had left for them to send me a picture of the receipt. When I did this, one of the men working the front counter said "oh someone just paid for you. It's fine now". Mind you, no one else was at the counter. No one came up and paid for that couple. The men behind the counter were just trying to get more money out of us. And as soon as I was about to have proof of them being wrong, the tab was magically paid. Completely disappointed with the customer service here on the bowling end. read more

My families first time at this bowling alley and was greeted by a Service Rep named Tru A. Who was ill-mannered and not friendly she should not be working front counter if this is her attitude. We had asked about pricing and discounts and she was very impatient and was rushing us. Once we received our answer and decided to proceed bowling she had asked for an I.D to put our lanes on hold and when we finish bowling they would return the I.D.. No a problem. We handed her an I.D. and she had thrown it back and said she could not accept it because the I.D. was expired. We had explained to her that the I.D. was not expired until July 2018. She then rudely explained that the I.D. was in fact not expired but close to it's expiration date and she couldn't accept it because of the rules. This wouldn't have been an issue if she broken it down explaining the policy in a professional manner. On two different occasions I requested to speak to a supervisor. In a aggressive outward behavior she said here is a piece of paper and pen write it. Her disrespectful negative attitude had set the tone for a very hostile environment to where it was very difficult to enjoy a family night that was supposed to be fun. read more
