I cannot say enough great things about this place. We just got done hosting yet another birthday party here. The reservation process is very convenient and affordable. The rooms are simple and they let you bring your own food, drinks and decorations. It super local and has great parking options. The staff is always so helpful, friendly and quick to make it a pleasant experience. It's very flexible if you need to adjust the number of guests and/or players. Then there is the arcade which is old school in the best way. You pay cash for coins. You earn tickets and redeem them in machines for a redemption ticket. They always switch out the prizes you can redeem for and you can even save your tickets for another time if you want to save up for something big. The laser tag is well run, has great and reliable equipment and an awesome arena. I have just as much fun as the kids and the parents always are happy and grateful to play as well. Everyone walks away feeling happy AND like they got a good value. This place outshines Insert Coin and Chuck E Cheese any day! read more

Took my kids to a birthday party at the laser fun zone. They seemed to have fun until we had to deal with staff. We were cashing in tickets and my 6 year old was tapping on the display case pointing at what she wanted. She was barked at by the employee. The employee raised her voice and told her to be careful or she would break it! So I met her voice with mine and told her there was no way my 6yr old girl was going to break the display case with tapping. I had to take over the conversation at that point And it felt as if the high school employees really got something out of being mean to little kids. read more

We booked a party room here for my daughter's 7th birthday. Overall, the kids had a blast between the arcade games and the laser tag. But from a parent perspective, I would probably never do a party here again. The rooms are super tiny, but it is what it is. It was an unusually warm day in November, and the room felt like a sauna. There's an AC type unit on the wall, so I asked if we could put some air on - and was unkindly told no. This was the worst part - all the staff we encountered here were unfriendly and borderline rude. I had no idea what to expect for anything, as it was my first time there, but getting any info from them was like pulling teeth. The attitudes were uncalled for. I didn't go into the laser tag area with the kids but my husband says service there was even worse. We also ended up with several kids in tears because they paired our 5-7 year old group with a bunch of older kids and it didn't go well. Also, you get just 15 minutes to set up - and that's "if" the party before you is out on time. We scrambled to clean up while the kids were in the second round of tag as well, and at the end, one of the staff came in and said "just so you know you have one minute left in this room." So, even though all our kids were still playing laser tag, we had to move everything out to the lobby. Why wouldn't they let you have the room at least five minutes after the game is over to get all your things together?! So while the kids mostly had fun, we paid around $200 for some really crappy service - and I will no longer be recommending this place for parties. read more

I went here today with my wife and kids in the hopes of taking advantage of their Military Appreciation Wednesday. This seemed like a pretty good deal - a free game for each game you buy. (Though they weirdly limit it to 5 free games per military ID; not sure who did the math to determine that was necessary.) All seemed well at first. I asked the man at the front desk for a 3 game package for each of my boys, but the total price he ended up charging me seemed off. After some back and forth with him about how the Wednesday special worked, it dawned on us that he rang me up for 3 games each for 3 people (my kids and my wife). Seems like a pretty simple misunderstanding, right? One of those things where the guy behind the counter should say something like, "Oh! My mistake, I must have misheard you. Let me fix this real fast." We'd buy our games...the kids would have fun...the business would make money - makes sense, huh? Nope, not this guy. Instead, once I pointed out that he had mistakenly charged me for three people when I asked for two, he says, "No, you told me three." We had a little back and forth where I insisted to him that I asked for three games each for just my two kids. I reminded him that I specifically said only my kids would be playing. But he felt that good customer service means insisting to the customer, repeatedly, that they told you something different. Instead of maybe just owning up to a simple mistake. So I immediately asked for a refund and told him we'd take our business elsewhere. At which point this guy - in what must have been a moment full of bravado for him - felt the need to inform me that he is a manager and knows how their system works. The problem wasn't the pricing system - we figured out that was working just fine. The problem wasn't even this guy's ears - mishearing a customer happens and really isn't a big deal. The problem was the subsequent rude customer service when he learned he'd made a mistake. But hey, good on him for being the manager? Your mileage may vary, but I'd suggest taking your business somewhere that provides at least the minimum level of politeness when they interact with customers. You're unlikely to find that here. At least not if the "manager" is working. read more

This would be an excellent place to have a birthday party. They have a party room and everything. And then you can just let the kids run and sweat and tire themselves out and then take them home and toss them in bed. They have a little arcade with quite a variety of games to keep the kids busy. And don't get me wrong, this is an excellent place for adults as well. A group of 4 of us, all over 25 went and had a major time. You will sweat! Guarenteed. It's even fun with a small amount of people. Probably the more people that go, the better. I did have a concern for the possibility for injuries. The way the walls are built and the way the corners are made, it's easy to run into someone or a sharp edge and or possibly trip. I followed the rules that must be read aloud before entering and did not run the whole time, but instead walked briskly and I still felt like if I backed up wrong I might get injured. Be careful if you're taking very small children. I also didn't like the strength of the lasers. I've been to laser tag places before which had red lasers and had a very easy time seeing where my laser is going so I could bounce it off mirrors and such. But this place has green lasers which it's hard to see and the mirrors aren't that great. The facility is great though, I'm sure you'll have a blast if you go. Play a few rounds and get a super workout. Everyone is a winner. Definitely will go back. read more

DONT GO HERE! RUDE PEOPLE! FIND ANOTHER PLACE! They advertise that you can bring your own food....my favorite is papa johns pizza but they won't let you walk in with it. You have to go through them for any papa johns pizza BUT can only order a 2 topping pizza. We called to ask if we could get The Works from Papa Johns and they said "people always want what they can't have". If this wasn't for a birthday I wouldn't commit to going today.... Literally this guy had the nerve to make a statement regarding my request for papa murphys and refer to me as "oh that's the princess" I hope they realize that their paycheck comes for us visiting their place....or they won't and they'll wonder why they are broke. We had our 8 year olds birthday here today. He LOVED it. The other kids loved it too. I on the other hand did not share his experience. I wish I would have looked into the party space more before booking because it is tiny. On top of the super small space no one checked in on our party, no one gave me the laser tag tickets, I had to wait in line for ten minutes and ask to have them. I was ten minutes late getting into our party room because it wasn't ready yet and had no time to decorate at all because they only allow you 20 minutes to decorate. It's very clear that Laser Fun Zone is understaffed and the overall experience for me was sort of frustrating. Here are some tips for you LFZ: - Get a party room manager who's job is to check in on each party and accommodate guests with questions and instructions for when games will be played. - Put your "Guest of Honor's" name outside of the party room. I had so many strangers come in our room confused about where to go and because no one is ever at the desk I actually was directing people to the appropriate party spaces. (You're welcome) - Hire extra weekend help. There should be no reason to have an empty front desk 70% of the time. It's very inconvenient to wait around until someone shows up, especially when the line starts getting to the door. - 2 Full hours for a space rental makes more sense and you clearly need to allow for more time in between bookings. The employees did the best they could with how busy it was, overall I won't return to book a party. Hands on Children's Museum was a little more money but way more organization, a much bigger space and we had a party director who checked in constantly to make sure our needs were met. This place was not worth the price tag. read more

There are no half star possiblilities or I'd give 2.5 stars. While I did have some of my information mixed up and thought that I read on their website that there was a freezer I was a little frustrated that there wasn't. I looked after getting home and it doesn't advertise a freezer so that was my mistake. I did however get quite a bit of attitude regarding said mix-up. When we arrived we were a few minutes early for our reserved time so I was OK with being told that our ROOM (and she said room while pointing to the party room behind me) was still occupied and they had 10 minutes still. After giving my kids some tokens to play in the arcade while we waited I was approached by a man who told me we would be at a table in the corner of the arcade. I asked about the room and he told me that we were lucky to even have a party area at all--but wait I called in advance to reserve a "private party area" and even came in to put down a deposit on said area. So how am I lucky? After telling me that I'm lucky to even have an area he proceeded to tell me in a VERY rude tone that the website that his wife created says cooler not freezer... Mind you I accepted the cooler in place of the freezer and was already over that snafu. While I was unpacking our party supplies the man (I'm assuming he was the owner) pulled my husband aside to try to explain that the area we got is the best! I reserved a "private party area" Now this is how the website advertises them but upon arrival we were poointed to a room and told room. The private aprty area had nothing private about it, the extra table space we had for our gifts and other supplies was still being occupied by random acrcade goers (or perhaps it was the party before us that just hadn't finished cleaning up yet), we had kids pushing past me to use the trash can. During the begining I was given quite a bit of attitude, so much that I almost felt as if they were going to kick us out if I asked any other questions. The man and his wife were seen talking (in not so happy a manner) and not long after I did get a sort of apology. If this is standard practice for how they treat all paying customers I will refuse to go back there. read more

So sad when you make a special trip and drive an hour with your children to Laser Fun Zone only to find it closed during normal operating hours that they post online. If you aren't going to be open during the hours specified and advertised then why don't you update your website, voicemail or put a note on the door?!?! Very poor business etiquette. My brother is training to become a cage fighter, despite having the worst reflexes of all time. so, we practice here. The games here are pretty sweet. However, there was some bodaggit staying in the corner making me look like a friggin idiot. GOSH! The gun I was using was a piece of crap and didn't work, and this was the case for many other guns. The music was pretty sweet, but I suggest the soundtrack of D-Qwon's Dance Grooves. All in all, it's pretty cool. Everyone is jealous of my laser tag skills. I spent the summer in Alaska hunting wolverines, so I'm pretty sweet. read more

WORST TIME OF MY LIFE!!! TOTAL WASTE OF MONEY!!! I went there for the first time and first off they were unprofessional. They did not explain anything. Then my gun wouldn't work. All it did was beep and told me to use two hands (even though both my hands were tightly gripping it). And then the employee in the "arena" came over and yelled at me for not informing him, then when he took me to get a new gun he told me that there was no point for me to go back in and play. Then when I received the scores the math was completely impossible and didn't make any sense. I didn't shoot my gun once and somehow I killed 18 people.... If I could put a 0 Star I would. Walking in I said hi we are having a birthday party. I paid online through the website. The lady said okay your seating is over there and just pointed. I said where? I have never been here. She didn't move from behind the counter and said over there, you will see it. Okay... so I find the tables and it's a crap area by all the games. Super super small. I go back up to find out what I need to do... (seeing no one came to me telling me how the party will go)... she said just come back up to the counter at a certain time and then the laser game will start. It was very unorganized. The people working there had no clue what was on my online party package I paid for. It should of had pizza come with but the workers would not order it for me, I had to order the pizza. I would not even plan a party here. I was told that they don't have their birthday parties there so they do not know what comes with it or what to do. My sisters and I took our kids, 8 total, to Laser Fun Zone for some laser tag and we were yelled at during both of the 'pre game briefing sessions' we paid for. In all we spent $150 for laser tag and at least another $75 in the arcade. The lady helping us yelled at nearly every member of our party including my 5 year old nephew. Lucky for us our kids still ended up having a good time, but I think next time I'd rather drive to Tacoma or go to Charlie Safaris than endure the tirades of the staff. read more

I had my daughter's birthday party here on Saturday. It was a great success with the kids. I thought it was easy and super affordable compared to other options of party places. I checked out their website, then called to make a reservation. On the phone, I made a $50 deposit which they applied to my final bill. Your party must have 8 guests. You pay a discounted rate of two games per guest @ $14 each. There is no extra charge for the two hour room rental. You can bring your own food and must supply your own decorations, plates, utensils, etc. Between the two games, there is a waiting period in which the kids ate cake and played many arcade games. The only drawback was the fact that they were a bit understaffed for how busy it was. There wasn't always someone manning the prize counter or the front desk. This wouldn't stop us from going back. All the kids had a blast and it was really easy for me as a parent. read more

We went for my sons 8th bday. The kids had a great time and the young man running the laser tag game was excellent with the kids! Two stars because the smell in the building was awful. I understand kids are running around and sweating, but this was pretty awful. Beware that when booking online and paying your deposit, your invoice will read 8 minimum, 15 maximum. What they fail to tell you is each child after 8 is an additional cost. It would be nice if the invoice indicated that 8 was a maximum and any additional would be an additional charge, not 8 minimum. read more

Five stars only for the lazar tag. When we went in no one was there and it was a Friday night. The three of us, including our friend that somehow has never played lazar tag, despite growing up in the 80s. Of course I whooped him the first round and he greatly improved the second round. You get to run around and hide behind walls and go up ramps to a second floor of these little buildings in the lazar tag area. Super fun. $15 for two games. Just be prepared to run and sweat. Also if you are a person who grew up on lazar tag, like me, then I suggest you experience the joy of playing against some younger boys and beating them. It's awesome lol. read more

I reserved my son's party online. When we arrived for the party....we checked in about 10-15 minutes prior to the party. The girl who checked us in wasn't very helpful. Just checked us in and asked how many players. I had no idea the exact number was. She said I would have to settle my bill later. We stood there a while in the "lobby" and I had to ask when we were going to be able to set up for our party. They had to ask the previous party to clean up and leave. Leaving us a few minutes to set up before our party start time. We had to ask if anyone was going to clean up/wipe down tables/take out trash, Etc. They came in to vacuum and my guests had to leave for them to do so. Anyhow, no party host... fine. BUT, No one tells you the flow of the party. I had to ask... basically 20 minutes into the party you get on round and another round an hour later and basically 10-15 minutes left in the room. The only thing that was good about this place is you can bring your own food. They truly need someone to run how the party flow is when you arrive. I basically fed my party the few minutes we had before the first round. Bought tokens for the kids to play video games and then after the second round had cake. And really pushed the time we had the room. There was no time to open presents. All in all.... the party felt rushed. We usually had our laser tag parties at Odyssey 1. But, wanted to change it up. So, I will try a different place next time. In the end the kids enjoyed themselves... the only reason for 2 stars. read more

I wrote a review for the owner on their Facebook page, was told I would hear back and that never happened. Consequently, my review here. We paid for my granddaughters 10th birthday at this place. Upon entering, no one gave our group directions on where to go or what to do. When they finally got the passes for laser tag, the employee immediately treated them very discourteously. He yelled at them to be quiet and my grandson said "yes ma'am" because he says that in kindergarten. This employee said to him, "you better apologize or you won't play laser tag ever again". One of my granddaughter's friends put her hands on her hips and he said "you can take your hands off your hips and get rid of the attitude"! My grandson would not even understand what this guy was saying to him as he is a little delayed in his speech. When the kids came out, they were very upset. When my daughter asked the other guy that was working to go in with them for the second time, he did but basically told her "it is what it is"! This is a business that deals mainly with children. They get excited. We know many parents from our local elementary school and we will be telling them to NEVER take their kids here especially if they are brown or black. There is definite prejudice here. Since the owner didn't have enough respect for me to call and talk about this, this is my only option. Bad business practices should have consequences!!! read more

First time coming to his location in Lacey, WA. The arcade was a bit small, and looked like it could use some updating. We were there on a Tuesday night, so it was nice being the only ones there at the time (they weren't busy). The staff were very nice. The Laser Tag area was pretty awesome. We had a group of 13 people and had a blast playing teams. We had a few issues with the guns (but the staff promptly fixed the issues), but other than that the course was great and we will absolutely be back to play some more!! read more

I'm not sure about the other stuff there but I definitely have a fun time with the laser tag! 3 years back my friends family and me went there together to play laser tag as a group. It was super fun and quite easy. It was my first time and it really left a good memory for me. I hope to bring my family there someday to play! read more
