We came here for with a living social deal for four people, and had a great time except when we checked out. The asshole guy at the desk asked who was going to pay for the balance. We were confused because we had a coupon and he said it was only good for two games for four people. We bowled four games because we thought the coupon was for two hours of bowling and the guy said when we checked in that it would turn off after we were done. We weren't keeping track of time or games and when we thought it was long enough, we stopped. The guy was totally rude and blamed us for not knowing what our coupon was for. Well it's kinda hard to know what the coupon is exactly when you take it from us when we checked in. Anyway this guy claimed to be the manager. It was an honest mistake that I'm sure everyone with this coupon will do. He flat out refused to give us a deal, or at least split the cost. He didn't even care when we said we would never come here again. He wouldn't even look us in the face when he talked to us. Don't give your place your business. At EVERY bowling alley I've been to, the computer shuts off or at least tells you to purchase more games after the games you prepaid for are completed. The douche said that the computers don't work that way, which means they are trying to scam people. It cost us an extra $30 for four of us on top of the coupon. Stay away from this shit little bowling alley with an asshole "manager." Poor customer service. Crappy parking. Just avoid at all costs. This place gets -1000 stars. read more

I pulled over into the Aztec lanes bowling alley parking lot to put water in my car. Where the owner was outside and yelled at me that it wasn't a park and ride. I promptly responded with I know, I was putting water in my car because it was over heating. He told me I needed to find a different parking lot and we exchanged words. As a customer and someone that frequently takes my family bowling. I promise this establishment will not see another dime from us.(As made clear that my money and people like me, money is not welcome there) I'm a firm believer in supporting local businesses but not bussineses that treat previous and potential customers like garbage for using their parking lot for a FEW minutes for a Minor issue. read more

This bowling alley is tons of fun. Although some find the outside off-putting, once you are inside you'll find a great family atmosphere with clean, updated decor and equipment. This placed sucked. Dan was a total JERK to us. He would not allow me to use a ball less than 10lbs and he was very rude about it..The lady in the lane next to us let us use her 8lb ball and Dan walked up and took it right out of my hand while i was setting up to get a spare. They have 6 and 8lb balls behind the counter. Im 5"2 and weigh 110. I have pins in my arm due to a break years ago. I noticed other bigger ladies that were using the smaller balls but he said the balls they were using were mis-marked and not the proper weight. Bowling with the larger ball physically hurt me and i had to sit out..He out-right lied to us. The womans balls were stamped with 8 on the side. My family, friends and I went to Aztec lanes bowling alley for a nice birthday party with a coupon for what we were told by the employee was two full hours of bowling and a few drinks. After the first game of bowling the screen asked us for another game. We accepted the new game believing that it was part of the two hour coupon. We went on to play 3 more games just for the fact the screen kept allowing another game. By the time we were done we gave back our shoes and the manager proceeded to charge us for 2 extra games. When we said we had a coupon for two free hours he, without even the courtesy to look at us, very rudely denied that the coupon was for two hours and was actually for only 2 games. We attempted to explain to him that we were told it was for 2 hours but he continued to blatantly look away from us as if he was scared of looking at us in the eyes like a pussy. We stood there for 10 minutes trying to reason with this asshole who didn't even have the common courtesy to look his customer in the eye that he was basically robbing! What kind of system does that bowling alley utilize, that even after being shown a coupon for a certain number of fixed games, the game screen doesn't tell you when your time is up and makes players believe that they are still covered by what was paid for or what coupon was used? What kind of employees work there that they will tell you the wrong information on your coupon and let you continue playing after your time is up? What kind of manager would allow someone to work there and LET THEM GET AWAY WITH IT! When asked to see the employee that messed up, the manager hardly answered us, still looking away, and continued to be a dick to our party! Its not even for the fact that we had to pay extra, its for the the fact that this very rude manager was a complete asshole to us and refused any sort of compensation! He was watching us play, he had our coupon, he knew we went over our coupon limit, and he knew that he was going to scam us before we even were done. Another incident that occurred was when this very happy and obliging couple we shared a lane with, asked for bumpers. The manager, once again not looking the customers in the eyes , rudely stated the words, "too old," and without even giving the couple a chance to respond, briskly walked away. WHAT A DICK! But customer service, irresponsible employees and managers, and shitty game screen and control system are not the only things wrong with this place. The balls were dirty, the food was overpriced and they played explicit music with children in the building! I will never go back to this place and I urge everyone not to even consider this a place to bowl. THIS PLACE FUCKING SUCKS! read more

Great fun for a Friday night at the Lightening Bowl. Cheap, good music and all around fun time. The only caveat is if you are booking a large party, ask for two lanes. It's really difficult to get through 9 ppl game in one lane! And not enough seating. But the raffle drawings and the music requests were bonuses . Will consider every Friday night as an option! I've only been to Aztec Lanes once. Went with a group of six. I thought it was alot of fun. There was blacklight and flashing lights and music. (I think they do that on Friday nights). I had never been to an event like that at the bowling alley so I really enjoyed myself. It's true that the outside looks a little bit run down but the inside is fine. I haven't been bowling in years and was just looking for something fun to do with my two boys (ages 8&10). I kind of expected this place to be a dump, but I was pleasantly surprised. It is bright and recently updated inside. All the equipment (including shoes) is clean and in good repair. Staff was very helpful and showed me how to set up the bumpers for my boys and even got them the correct weight bowling ball and showed them which fingers to put in the holes. For $30 the three of us bowled two games and had drinks and a nacho to share (This was Sunday afternoon). We had a great time and will be back. For parents - They have automatic bumpers for kids ages 10 and under. They go up when your child bowls and pop back down when it's your turn. They also have light weight bowling balls for the kids. read more

Its actually really nice on the inside, which you wouldn't expect from the way it looks on the outside. very nice lanes. the only down side is that they didn't have a 7lb balls and only one 8lb ball so my friend and I shared a ball. a better ball selection would be nice especially since kids like to bowl and smaller balls would be a better fit for them. read more

Aztec Lanes - Bowling Near Me - Olympia, Washington

My family and I love to bowl. We don't do it as often as we like. But when we do we have a tendency to go to Aztec Lanes. I like the price (we can usually find a coupon somewhere - like The Entertainment Books) I think it is just like a lot of bowling places - a little run down. But I've never had any problems with service. One of the best things about this place is it is rarely busy. Unlike Tumwater Lanes, close to where we used to live, this place actually has open bowlings. I like Tumwater Lanes - but they cater to leagues and really couldn't care less about open bowling. I find it funny how three people in a group all commented about the same experience when truth is - they didn't read their coupon. Why should some manager "compensate" them for illiteracy? read more

From the outside I thought I made a mistake choosing this location over others, but once I walked inside it looked like two different places. Everything on the inside looked new and modern. To be honest I haven't ever been to a bowling alley that has seats as nice as this place. (Think leather like couches and stools basically) the lanes looked new and never malfunctioned. They serve food, but I didn't order any. Overall after my family of 3 bowled 2 games our total was right at $30. Not bad at all in my mind. Would definitely go here again. Visiting from CA, I went bowling here w/my family last Thursday afternoon. At some points we were the only ones there, other times one or two other lanes were in use. I was very disappointed that they would not allow the bumpers for my daughter & grandson They have limitations and because of their age they wouldn't put them up. They could have had more fun without 80% less gutter balls. But the clerk was unreasonable stating "it's our policy" UGH! Get real ! They should put people before policy. Unfortunately tonight I had a very bad experience with Aztec Lanes and the Manager. Made reservations for Lightning Bowl, I went there 45 minutes early to save our lane the other person was running late. I was so excited and when two people canceled on our reservation the manager told us to "pay for 4 people or take your refund and leave " while this wasn't the worst of it when we made reservations we asked what would happen if two people canceled and the kind lady on the phone told us that they would add people to our lane that came late. But the manager said that was wrong information and told us to leave. Left crying and will probably never go back for how wrongfully treated I was. So unfortunate that a business would treat customers like that and lose business for price. read more

They get one star from me because the food was pretty good...but it's hard to mess up a soft pretzel. The manager or owner (I'm not sure who actually worked there because they were all too busy talking to their friends that were there) was rude from the second we walked in. I stood waiting to get shoes while while he was playing a game with other people. He then let another girl cut us in line. About 10 minutes later he walked by us and told us "we might be closing early tonight maybe 9:30 maybe 10" and walked away. Their hours say they close at 11. The manager has no customer service skills and doesn't know how to run a business. I will not be going here again. Terrible service. read more

We used an Amazon Local deal for two games, shoes, and soda for two people tonight. The outside of the bowling alley appears a bit dumpy, thus we were shocked when we walked in to find the cleanest and nicest bowling alley we've ever seen. We had no problems using our coupon. I got living social vouchers and decided to take my son and his friends to the bowling alley for his birthday fun day. To my surprise they completely close down for a whole hour to get ready for lightning bowling of which the voucher DOES NOT say you can't attend not does it tell you that they close an hour before starting. So the person at the desk said that we cannot use them and that the alley will close in 5 minutes. I had 4 boys excited to go bowling and I had to disappoint them because the people at the bowling alley pretty much threw us out to get ready for lightning bowling. The facility looked nice and we will try again during the day on a weekend. I hope to have a better experience next time, now that I know more about what goes on there. I don't appreciate them not informing us of this on the living social voucher and ruining my son's birthday bowling. read more

The new interior is quite nice. I came here on my first date today to bowl, and the service was great. The employee at the counter was very welcoming and friendly; He reserved a lane for us, and even held onto our shoes for us. Overall, I feel it was a great bowling place. My adult sons and I were looking for a place to play pool and hang out for a few hours and we stumbled upon Aztec lanes in Olympia. For the area, it's a decent looking bowling alley but it's definitely not a Lucky Strike. The lady behind the counter was not rude but she definitely should work on her customer service skills. I read that they have remodeled and it feels like they're trying to pay for the remodel by being chintzy. My sons and I ordered two pizzas and a cheeseburger which totaled over $25. We later asked for a cup of water and we were told it was going to be $.25 and then they charged us $.50 for a tiny container of ranch salad dressing. At the end of our meal we had some leftover pizza and then they wanted to charge us $.50 for a to go box. As a business owner I think this is classless and tasteless for this establishment to Pennypinch their customers and disrupt our experience at their place of business. I will never spend another $.25 in their establishment. read more
