Good food good times . Every time we come here we get the same excellent food and great service . It's an awesome little place ran by some great people . Go try it you won't be disappointed. Great place to hang out with a group.

Absolutely delicious burger including onion rings and cheese sauce! No way I ate it all

Chef Aaron does an amazing job no matter what he's cooking!! The place is more amazing because Dee cares about her customers! She knows what we drink and has it at the table moments after we arrive! If they are busy, you wait! The sign says they do food as fast as they can, fast food is 11 miles west!! We often go have dinner and have never had a meal we didn't love!! We all laugh and joke and will for sure return often as it's amazing!! They even change up things when we ask (burger no buns and such) always delicious. You better go hungry cuz you will always have so much food you will take some home! For sure my favorite place to go out for dinner!! Also so reasonably priced it's ridiculous!!

    Replacement.

The atmosphere was comfortable, with a pleasant crowd and a lot of laughing. We were greeted almost as soon as we walked in, which was great considering they were kinda busy already. Drinks came fast and so did the food. I had the bacon cheeseburger with curly fries. My husband got cheese curds, which I'd never had before, and the special of the day, which was a bbq bacon burger with regular fries. My food was amazing. It's been a long time since I've had a burger of this quality. The cheese curds came out fast and hot and were absolutely delicious. I had a bite of my husband's burger and it was good enough for me to consider maybe getting it next time. All of this food only cost $45, which is saying something these days. We will definitely be back.

We had noticed the Carlisle during a recent trip to Onalaska. We thought the outside was gorgeous…read moreso figured it was a dinner house and the inside was the same. Well, it's not and the sign clearly indicates it's a bar and grill. So, we were disappointed when we walked in. However, by checking it out, we assumed the place really rocks in the evenings and on the weekend. Who knows! Between us we ordered their fish'n chips, philly cheesesteak sandwich and soup of the day which was cream of celery. Everything was absolutely fabulous. The philly cheesteak was about double the size of those you get elsewhere and really good. The soup was also excellent as was the fish. Fries were excellent and hot. There is no way we could give this place less than a 5* for their food. One negative was the air conditioner made it very cold inside and it wasn't even a hot day. Service was great. If we were ever in the area again, we would definitely return.

The bar is rustic, has a good vibe and a ton of antique logging items to look at. You can bring your dog, and your dog can sit in a stool at the bar. There were probably 4 dogs at one point. You'll want to bring a dollar bill to sign and put on the wall. Billiards is free to play. You'll need to check out the bathrooms with the nudie pics..."I'm gonna be in here a while," I yelled to my cousin. The Saginaw Days happens in September which sounds like a fun family outing. The owner was a hoot. Said "that's the lying corner over there," pointing to a bunch of regular locals. They've owned it for about 4 years and left it the way it was. If you ask the owner to tell you the history, he will. It used to be a gas station 100 years ago. Mentioned a gentlemen who is 90 years old living in the house he was born in. There is an old bell that someone can ring when they want to buy the house a round of drinks. Bell came off an old steam engine. Before it was horse and buggy, donkeys, then it quickly modernized. When Saginaw Logging pulled out, it was the last of the big logs. They then started pulling out the train rails, as the wood trestles started rotting anyway, then sold the metal as scrap. They still do a lot of logging up there M- F so got to be careful when on the road. They put in Snoose Creek (the water trough by the bar) for the loggers to spit in. They couldn't smoke in the woods, bunkhouse, mess hall, etc. so loggers took to chewing tobacco. The tough guys just go ahead and swallow, the rookies would chew and spit. You'll see bottle caps in the parking lot as loggers used to throw them down to get grip on the wet muddy grounds for their trucks. It's a good hunting area. All the roads used to be open, but Warehouser, Park Blakley and others started locking their gates. The hunters have to pay $300 to get a key for the gate to go in now, so not as many hunters these days. We did dinner at Clark's restaurant on the way out. Good hamburgers and shakes.

They have pull tabs, draft beer bottles & cans. The only thing is that the bar can get very busy, & they only have one person who tends bar, cooks the food & sells the pull tabs. They try their best to do everything that needs to be done. I went yesterday (Friday) they had a band singing country music & different types of music it was a nice surprise. There's ample parking, and it's a reasonably safe place to walk around or park your car. When I'm in the area next time I visit I'd definitely come back & belly up to the bar.

It's only then that I realized that her pants are dripping and that there's a little yellow pool in the gutter. She finally slumps into the seat and I discover a little souvenir.
