The Inn Keepers, Khloe and Sean, were hospitable and organized, reminding us of our reservation days in advance and asking if we needed anything beforehand. Very friendly at check-in and answered all my questions during my stay, always with a smile on her face. My room was beautiful. I chose room 25 (Vivian) on the 2nd floor of the main house. While it's a small room, it was cozy and quite lovely. I spent some quiet time writing at the desk, and later enjoyed the fireplace with a Duraflame log provided by the inn. They also provide a free bottle of wine, which was waiting for me in my room. The next morning, hot breakfast was waiting in the dining area downstairs. There were several options, which I appreciate having a choice. The pumpkin French toast casserole, seasoned potatoes, and bacon were superb. A great way to start the day! I loved my stay so much that I'm returning in January for another night!

From the warm welcome upon arrival--complete with a welcome drink, pastries, and brownies--to the impeccable service, every detail feels well thought out. We were a bit apprehensive when we heard about the new ownership, but thankfully, much of the charm remains intact. The bar now uses a Bartesian machine, which makes good cocktails, though I can see it becoming cumbersome if multiple guests arrive at once. Breakfast is always wonderful with a variety of entrées and sides. My only wish? That they bring back the specialty coffee machine--I miss those cappuccinos! Fortunately, their excellent selection of Harney & Sons teas helps make up for it. Already looking forward to our next visit!

Every morning, there were different choices for breakfast along with pastries if we wanted. They even had pastries during the day if you wanted an extra treat. Every moment we interacted with anyone, we were greeted with kindness. And a shout out to Lori, who saved us with a recommendation to eat at Alta in Lenox for dinner. Though the inn, like most old homes, abuts the road, once you're on the property it's perfect. The grounds are massive. The Inn: The house itself is beautiful, inside and out. Every room (two shared lounging areas, one dining room, and the room we stayed in) were so well decorated and put together. Nothing felt too precious to sit on or enjoy, and nothing felt cheap. Amenities: Our room was cozy and beautiful. The bathroom floor warmers were a nice surprise on the cold November day we stayed. The Aesop products were a welcome treat, too. Only thing I would have asked for were more plugs given the number of devices we travel with. The breakfast: Oh my god the breakfast. The owners cook it themselves. Simple, tasty, local. And I don't know where they get the beans, but the coffee is absolutely perfect - especially on a fall morning like we had. So much is good here. But we have given the inn four stars not five because of the disappointing breakfasts. We were served very overcooked casseroles, overcooked scrambled eggs, grossly undercooked bacon and rather sad bits of yogurt. They really need some improvements here. That said -- and we know it requires us to be honest -- we would definitely look forward to returning with fingers crossed for some improvements in the breakfasts. And yes, 33 Main is on the pricey side, but it's high season for Tanglewood -- a very short drive away -- and given the quality here we think it's well worth considering a splurge.

Our first B&B in decades and it was an excellent option to staying in one of the many local motels…read more  The home is wonderfully decorated, full of country antiques.  The King Bed Suite is right off the kitchen and the sleeping was extremely comfortable.  We had the home to ourselves, so it was perfectly quiet.  Bathroom modern and excellent hot shower.  We had a minor issue with powering up a CPAP machine, and the owner promptly showed up and it ended up being our fault using the wrong connecting wiring (computer wire instead of CPAP wire).  She was readily available and brought over goodies for breakfast daily, including home made delicious muffins, fresh fruit salad etc.  Usually she prepares hot breakfasts when home has more guests.  We were her first guest of the season!  I was singing at Tanglewood, and this inn is right next door.  Also very accessible to Lenox by car and by walking.  Would definitely return to Eastgate B&B.  Highly recommend!

This really needs to read "continental breakfast included." The homemade muffins were very good, granola and greek yogurt also good (though would have preferred a choice of yogurts as I prefer vegan), some fresh fruit, slices of bread and a bowl of hard boiled eggs was all nice but not what I would call "breakfast included." Also, we noticed immediately that the room we had did not fit the description given to us of our room when we booked. We were told it had a mountain view which it did not. Upon asking about this, the gentleman at the desk kindly acknowledged that in his email communication he had inadvertently mixed up the room descriptions. This was not an issue and the room we had was fine but it would have been nice to have received some token of recognition for this miscommunication.

Every room has a patio/balcony where you can sit out and have coffee, wine or read. The innkeepers were so nice & have thought of just about everything. From bathrobes to dog biscuits. It's non-contact check-in, checkout & breakfast. Breakfast is left in your room the day before. Milk/juice, yogurt, fruit/scone or quiche, pastries. And really good coffee/machine - from the local coffee roaster. The grounds are beautiful with gardens. There is a short path in back into the woods - but as John (innkeeper) said - beware of poison ivy. There was also a neat trail nearby that John told us about, with unique sculptures to discover along the way.
