I don't know what some of my fellow yelpers are yapping about, but The Inn at Churon Winery is blissfully amazing! I came to the winery about a month ago for my sister's 30th birthday. After tasting wines and buying bottles, I went ahead and signed up for the Wine Club. One of the benefits of the wine club is 50% off stay in The Inn. So since it was long overdue for some r&r, I figured it was the perfect time to book 2 nights stay at The Inn. Another bonus is a free room upgrade. So when I called and made reservations and told them I was a wine club member, I mentioned the free room upgrade. I was told that there weren't any suites available. Ok, no biggie. So when we get there, I was surprised that I was given a suite, the Zinfandel suite...that's what's up! Walked in the suite, and grinned from ear to ear. The room was spectacular! The room was large with a fireplace, nice size balcony, massive bathroom (jacuzzi tub, separate shower). It was so cozy and relaxing, and I slept like a baby. From the balcony, we had a view of the vineyard and the mountains. What a peaceful view! For breakfast, guests are given complimentary breakfast from 8am-10am. Its not continential breakfast, but don't expect to get full either. It was a nice gesture though. Another benefit of being a wine club member is complimentary wine tasting for me and 3 guests. Yep, took advantage of that. However, if you are not a member, there is complimentary wine tasting for guests from 5p-6p. The selection of wine samplings isn't as vast as the list thst id offered during "non-complimentary" hour. I experienced swiftness with checking in and out. Inn @ Churon Winery made for an awesome getaway for the b'day! I found a deal through Travelzoo.com for $243 that offered 3 days and 2 nites, free mimosa included breakfast, a free bottle of wine along with 20% off of any bottle purchased. We had an awesome room with a private balcony that overlooked the vineyard which was awesome and was good for star watching @ night..actually saw a few shooting stars every nite. The room was a very nice size and came equipped with a fireplace, fridge which came in handy along with a jacuzzi in the very big bathroom that included 2 sinks. Complimentary tastings were in effect from 5-7 everyday for anyone staying at the hotel. Tastings took place downstairs below ground floor level and I had some really good wines...so good that I joined their wine club and got 40% off the first 2 bottles. Val was very good at helping us pick really good wines and walking me through what I get from being a club member. This place was definitely awesome and made for a great bday destination...I wanna go back! read more

The pictures of this charming B&B really do it no justice. We arrived at 1 and because it was Sunday of Memorial Day weekend there was no early check in but were offered to enjoy wine and sandwiches on the patio. The view from the patio is just gorgeous. We had a glass of Sangria (10 bucks and you get to keep the souvenir glass!) along w/the Grilled Tri-tip sandwich which is delicious and fresh made on the spot. Our room itself was clean and spacious, had a nice patio looking out into the vineyard, and even a working fireplace. The bathroom really stole the show though, it had to be as big as the rest of the room with an awesome jacuzzi tub, but you have to bring your own bubbles sorry folks. Free wine happy hour with very generous pours (even though the wine is not very good it's still nice), and a free FULL breakfast. None of that continental crap here, and the quality of food is very good which was a nice surprise to me. I expected Denny's quality since it was free. Only two cons: 1) No food options after 4pm so if you've got post winery tour hunger make sure you stop for dinner before coming back to the hotel. Rooms have a large fridge but no microwave to heat the food up in. 2) You can hear everyone's everything. At one point I was awoken by the above floor's jacuzzi filling up. The A/C also makes strange noises sometimes even if you turn it off. Even with those two things I definitely plan to stay here again in the future. It's a fabulous bang for your buck. read more

I was so excited to stay here based on the reviews. I wanted to love this place so bad but during our stay things just kept getting worse. Check in was easy and the receptionist was very friendly. Got two free glasses of wine for staying so we decided to get them right away and sit on our patio and enjoy the view of the vineyard. The wine was AWFUL! My husband and I are huge wine connoisseurs. We have travelled all of the world and tried different wine. I have never tasted wine as bad as Churon's. Luckily we had a bottle from another winery in the car. As we were sitting on our room patio we noticed the hotel staff was preparing for a big group. Turns out it was a wedding rehearsal dinner. The dinner was being held right between the room next to us and the vineyard. It was hard to sit and enjoy our own space and view. It would've been nice to be told at booking that a wedding was going on and the space outside the rooms was being used. The decor of the Inn is very outdated. The 90's brass has got to go! It looks as though they may be drunk sting because half the bathroom was brass and gave nickel. Plus there was painters tape left on the wall in our bathroom. The shower tile looks new but the drain is not flush with the floor and I twisted my ankle twice while in the shower because that drain is about 2" deeper than the floor. The bed was really uncomfortable. The room was way to bright in the morning. There were no black out curtains. I appreciate that breakfast is included with your stay. We ordered ours as room service to show up between 9-9:30 am. At 9:45 am our breakfast still hadn't shown up. We decided to go to the restaurant, turned out they had our order but hadn't even started it yet. We did get served quickly but our eggs were full of egg shells, disgusting. I do not recommend this place. There are much better choices in Temecula. read more

Excited because I just made reservations to stay here and wanted to make a point to say Morgan helped me book this room and she was the best! She answered all of my questions (I had a million of them) and thoroughly explained everything. Most importantly is that I could hear in her voice that she was happy to help and made me feel so welcome. If the stay is as good her hospitality then I know I will have a great stay! Thank you, Morgan! UPDATE: Finishing up my stay here at Churon and everything has been nothing but great. Breakfast has been delicious and they deliver to your room for $10 which isn't much and I recommend doing bc the rooms have a great view. Rooms are a great size and clean. Property is pretty and in a great location which is the middle of many wineries. Service has been the best, everyone has been very accommodating. Especially the graveyard crew, very on top of helping guests with anything needed. Thank you Churon for an amazing stay. Will be staying here again in the future. read more

We stayed at The Inn At Churon Winery between 10/14-10/16/2023. This was the place my daughter and son in law chose for their wedding, and there's no doubt their views are amazing. This, along with spacious rooms and courteous staff, is what scored the 1 star. Unfortunately, our stay was accompanied by great aggravation due to being bitten at night by what I feared were bed bugs, but the staff thought were fleas left in the room/ bed by one (or multiple) previous stays of guests with dogs - and due to inappropriate responses and interactions with members of the management. The responses ranged from broken promises (among them: "the manager on duty will call you when he comes in" on the first morning when I reported the bites... "a refund will be given at checkout time"... then at checkout: "the manager's manager will email you and process a refund"... - none of which happened) to an attitude of "no big deal" from managers I spoke with, lack of responsiveness to emails sent by me a week after checking out (since no-one contacted me in any way... ), to finally receiving response emails from the front desk manager that contained distorted facts, and ending with a ridiculous "gift card" offered by the general manager, three weeks after our checkout. The gift card was offered after he first argued with me that a compensation would not be necessary since "we got a discount on the room" (that was true - we did get a 10% discounted room price, but that was the group rate they offered to my daughter for 24 rooms that we filled out with our event - not a discount meant to express the fact they have pests that bite the guests!) I refused the gift card, even without confirming that it was, as I suspect, for a future stay... As of today, four weeks after I checked out, the bites are still slightly visible. Which makes me suspect these were, after all, bed bug bites, which can take that long to completely disappear. Beside this very unpleasant and aggravating incident, the rooms are very outdated. The albeit elegant bathrooms have corroded shower heads, it's impossible to adjust the water temperature and pressure of the shower (you can only adjust one or the other), the A/C is extremely loud (probably due to being old) and more. The joke circulating the morning after the wedding among our guests was: "It seems they got the coffee machines handed down from Super 8 when Super 8 upgraded theirs"!! At $315/ $245 room rate (Saturday/ Sunday rate), one would expect more care put into guests comfort, updating the rooms - not to mention health concerns and how to respond to an issue like the one we experienced. Bottom line: if you're there for a wedding and you're in the bridal party, you don't have much choice. But if you're a guest, you're probably better off staying at a decent and much more reasonably priced hotel or motel in Temecula, and just driving to and from the wedding. I will certainly not stay there again as a guest - not even if I have a "gift card" for it. read more

We recently stayed at Inn At Churon Winery for a night and enjoyed our stay. The rooms are clean with HUGE bathrooms and the grounds are beautiful. Especially in the early mornings after sunrise the cool breeze and the view of flying hot air balloons creates a relaxing fresh start for the day. The wine tasting actually was one of the best that we had as it was not over-crowded and we were able to have more conversation and fun with the gentleman serving the wines. I am not a fan of overly commercialized wineries with little to no personal interaction. They have a nice intimate beer and wine night in their yard on weekend nights with live music. Since we went out for dinner we did not have a chance to go but we could hear the nice songs being performed and people having fun, from our room. Although a lot of people rave about their complementary breakfast in the reviews but honestly we did not like our breakfast much. I like the idea of serving individual breakfast plates vs. typical buffet but the food did not taste good. Our group tried most of the breakfast items and they all were not enjoyable. The price is right! The value is good! And the room/suite is spacious. The rooms are older, and it definitely shows. But that's also how it's so spacious. For a getaway to wine country, without breaking the bank, this was exactly what we were looking for! Things are a bit slower here. So it took a while to check in and such. But that's alright. Also, our uber driver had trouble finding us, even once she was on the property, so that was a tad annoying. Of course that's a driver problem, not a Churon problem, but it is a result of the property not being very clear on where the entrances and such are. read more

Inn at Churon Winery will always have a special place in my heart because we were staying here when my fiance and I got engaged. My favorite part of the room was the balcony that opened up to the vineyards and the fact that this winery is a bit more isolated, making it more quiet and private. We enjoyed the hot tub in the bathroom and they also give a free bottle of wine with your stay. In terms of the service, the receptionist lady was very friendly and gave us a great recommendation on where to eat, and it is one of our new favorite wineries to dine at in Temecula (Avensole). We weren't able to try the complimentary breakfast that came with the room but we will likely come back one day to try it! read more

I recently stayed here at the beginning of August for a quick getaway from LA and had a great experience. The property was beautiful and would be a perfect place for an event or wedding. We received a complimentary bottle of wine but before we chose a bottle they did a tasting of 8 of their wines. The Rose and the Cabernet Sauvignon were my favorite. They offer complimentary breakfast in the morning that was pretty good. The rooms were very large and had a fireplace and private balcony. All the bathrooms have a huge jacuzzi tub just remember to bring some bubble bath. It's located along a street with other wineries if you want to make a day out of visiting other wineries and tastings. read more

Staying here feels like staying at a friend's lovely Chateau in France!! The staff was warm, friendly, and welcoming. You get the feeling that this is a family run winery. Room (1st Floor) was huge with an UNBELIEVABLE view of the vineyards. You could also see the vineyards in the distance. Smelled like a spa when we checked in! Loved that. The room we had was a double queen. Gorgeously decorated, spacious, well appointed. We were in The Zinfandel Suite. The jacuzzi tub was HUGE , relaxing, and comfy! Complimentary wine tasting included 8 wines. Delicious. Gold Nectar and Rose were favorites. Fun gifts in the gift shop. Complimentary breakfast was YUMMY!! Croissant, Sunrise Sandwich with potatoes was perfect amount of food and was delish. Coffee was great, too. Waiters were so friendly. We had Damon who is 6 foot 9! And just as nice as could be. It is a gorgeous property. Beautiful, sprawling vines EVERYWHERE. Plenty of scenic photo opportunities! Little bunnies everywhere. The property does seem a bit older with some wear and tear. But it is extremely clean. We had a wonderful time here! We felt well taken care of by the staff and would highly recommend the Inn at Churon to everyone. read more

This hotel has many positives, but sadly to say it is beginning to reflect the need for tender loving care. Currently it would only take several handymen a few weeks to clean the property up and get it to 4 Star status. If something isn't done within the next year or so I am sure it will slip to 2 star. Wallpaper is peeling away on the second floor, windows need to be washed along the second floor and the grounds need some work. So why would I give this a 3 star and not a 2? For these positives: * We had a Groupon and and for the price of basically $300 with tax for two nights for 2 people it was a great value that included one free bottle of wine, two evenings of free wine tasting, and two breakfasts included. *Our room was clean and spacious, yes the stained green carpet needed to go, but bathroom huge and nice. *Beautiful view of the countryside from second floor spacious room balcony. *Breakfast was delicious and could be served from restaurant balcony. Full sit down made to order breakfast and delicious freshly made robust coffee (Temecula based coffee company brew served and the guests were commenting on how good it was). *Waitresses serving breakfast were excellent, served us and everyone else with a smile and kept our coffee cups filled. * The "hotel guests only" wine tasting on the first floor or maybe it's really considered the basement cellar was wonderful. The pours were big and as many as you want and we ended up buying their excellent Silver Award Winning Sherry and their Award Winning Port. These last two were excellent. Select Wines we're 20% off for guests and if you buy 2 bottles, one is free. * Their Cabernet was OK and we selected that as our Free bottle. *Make sure you ask what time the "hotel guests only wine tasting takes place. The Sunday time is different than the Monday time and Etc., it is true that the older woman at the front desk is not the most pleasant and does not offer up a lot of information. There were a lot of negative comments about her in earlier posts I see. We felt that she was really trying hard to be nice, but one can see this does not come naturally to her LOL!! The hotel is promoting itself as a French Chateaux bed and breakfast and there are only 24 rooms available. So it does boast an intimate setting. For those comments from guests indicating it's like staying at one's grandmother's house and needs to be redecorated, that is the decor of a French Chateau! Flowery, dark furniture, Etc. This French Chateau does need to replace and freshen up the French decor, replace the tired old burgundy front entrance awning, The ripped outdoor carpeting in the entrance, and etc. Such a shame that a few details could make this a four star, but it appears to be slipping and heading downward. If we paid a dollar more for this place, I would have given it a 2-star. At the Groupon price it was a good deal. read more

Recently spent 2 nights here for a wedding right up the road. Wow, beautiful facility. The regular room we had was more like a suite. Unlike the usual hotel chains we're used to staying in, this place was more interesting and personal. Gorgeous views of other wineries out the small balcony. We demand cleanliness and quiet and had both (although the second night some of the younger guys from the wedding were downstairs making a little noise on the patio, but not for too long. The only reason why this is getting 4 stars is because of the lack of air conditioning in the main hallways. I know that sounds petty, but when it's 101 outside and you are there for any reason, walking out in to a miserably hot hallway is pretty discouraging. However, the rooms here are insane. The views alone are worth the price you pay but the room itself is gorgeous. The room is large and the bathroom is almost as big as the room itself. There's a fire place, closet, sitting area, dressing and nice flat screen in each room. The bathroom has a large Jacuzzi tub, large shower, his and hers sinks with beautiful marble flooring / counters tops (keep in mind, the floor gets so slippery so be careful). The decor is a bit outdated but it keeps up with the overall boutique style of the hotel and winery. It all definitely has charm about it. Circling back to the view, wow. I woke up the first morning, sat on the balcony and drank a cup of coffee while watching hot air balloons land in surrounding wineries just after sunrise. It was gorgeous and I couldn't have ask for a more serene way to wake up and spend my morning. The breakfast was really tasty and their mimosas were quite delicious. Their dining area has the same view as the room so it made breakfast that much better. I would definitely come back and stay here for a weekend. First off, the location, room quality, cleanliness, staff friendliness and breakfast was top notch. The breakfast especially was 5 star. What I found strange, actually very, very strange was they lock the lobby and don't open it until 8am. I've been in hundreds of hotels all over the world in the last 50 years and I've never been to one that locks their lobby until Churon. It's a great lobby with nice sofas. But if you're up early, like I am all the time, you are SOL at Churon, there's no place to hang out. The second issue, and this is pretty minor, but if you're paying $350 for a room you expect more, was the coffee available before breakfast. No creamer and no artificial sweetener, just sugar and powdered creamer. read more

We have stayed at this hotel a couple of times and we are always treated exceptionally well. The rooms are spacious and really comfortable with a gas fireplace to add coziness. We get a room with a patio looking out on the vineyard which makes it easy for others in our party to just walk out onto their patio and step onto ours. It's really perfect. The breakfast is top notch and not to be missed. Also, if you are up early there is nothing better than coffee on the patio while watching the hot air balloons drift by. A perfect getaway. read more

Staff was super friendly and accommodating as we got into town early and needed to check in. The grounds are beautiful and the room was comfortable. We especially loved the fireplace and patio view! Amazing and unique experience. Can be a bit pricey but if you can afford it - very worth it. Especially if you love wine. This place is magnificent. It was my first trip to Temecula. The first of what will undoubtedly prove to be very many. Let it first be said that is vineyard is gorgeous. It has a valley view to the right and mountains of course on both sides. You can see the fields of Grapes here as well as at least 3 other close by vineyards both from the upper gardens/fountain area as well as from the patios attached to each of the rooms. I didn't just go for the wine tasting. I in fact don't have a deep love for wine. I can recognize quality and can detect high notes, low notes, and aftertaste of course. I just cant bring myself to love the stuff. I actually went to this location for an overnight celebration of the first anniversary of my marriage. My wife on the other hand - loves wine. And she adores quaint romantic locations. The Inn at Churon Winery is a whole lot of that. All that being stated I will now tell you that a great way to go if your looking for a romantic getaway - is to get the Rest and relaxation package. If you were going to do most of those things anyway - it allows you to do them and pay less. It's still a pretty penny but you have to remember that quality is not cheap. The rest and relaxation package includes a few things and I will be happy to tell you about them. You also get a huge discount if you do it during the week as opposed to on the weekend. You get a Vineyard view room for 1 night, a Private 50-minute in-room massage for 2(simultaneously at that - and in your room), as well as an Afternoon guest-only wine hour (think all you can stand without falling unconscious wine tasting), the truth is, there is still more and you might not want to get trashed before you share the immaculate setting where you will enjoy Dinner for 2, and a Gourmet breakfast for both of you in the morning Depending on the season and at what stage they are in - they also might give you some free whine. We were given a bottle of Cab, a bottle of Zin, and a bottle of port. Due to the fact that between the one hour of wine tasting and the 5 flights of wine you will be seeing at your romantic dinner - I recommend stowing whatever free bottles they give you for when your back home. So, the massage. They have a contract with a local masseuse whom brings a partner. They have massage tables with them and they bring their own tunes, and oil, hot stones, lotions, they have all kinds of fun stuff. That being said - they can do either Swedish style or deep tissue. These are big strong women - so I recommend Swedish. They will have you take off whatever amount of clothes your comfortable with. And they will massage all the way from the top of your skull all the way to the balls of your feet. They also will ask if you want hot stone massage or chakra points worked etc... Your answers will probably be very different depending on how much massage you typically get. This massage takes like 45 minutes. I would suggest throwing them a decent tip as they are well worth it. Also, it helps if you have scheduled said massage in a timely enough manner so that you can make the hour long guest only wine tasting in the wine cellar. In this way - once you are all relaxed and drooling from the massage you can go down and drink your fill of wine. In this way you can help the drooling continue. Now that you have tried all the wines they have downstairs - its back up to the front stone deck to think about dinner. They have a dining room just off the front stone deck with valley views. They have a beautiful setting and really nice dinnerware/glasses. This is important because your doing a 5 course meal with 5 courses of wine. Before coming here I emailed them twice to make sure they knew that we don't eat meat(we do eat fish/seafood). When I got a response is was obvious to me that they weren't too worried about their ability to find something that they could cook and we would like to eat no matter what our dietary restriction. What they knew and I did not is that they have a ton of ingredients and chef hanging out waiting for whatever few people come for the night to order. So, we finally went on into the dining room and sat down. And they brought us iced tea, water, and our first glass of wine. They brought bread and our first course etc...and asked us what we were thinking for an entree. We eventually went with a macadamia encrusted sea bass for both of us. Our meal was amazing. Truly 5 star food even if the place had been a dump. And the place is magnificent. My wife said that 4 of the 5 wines were great. The dessert wine was only average. But, the bottle of port we got for free ended up being really good so maybe it was just how they matched the specific wine with the food. Bought a deal through Travelzoo, $239 for a two night stay. It was a bit hard to find because the directions I got from Google Maps was telling us it wasn't that far from the freeway. We did a couple of U-turns and resorted to calling the Inn to get clarification. Turns out we had to keep driving and go pass Butterfields Stage... the vineyard/inn was on the right. Finally!! The one person at the front desk was polite and helpful. I had to wait a few minutes as he was busy taking a phone call - seems a lot of people were calling to use their Travelzoo vouchers. At any rate, he handed us the room keys and told us that the complimentary tasting just started... OH WHAT!? Free wine?? SCORE!! =) We hurried downstairs after snapping a few photos of the room and putting our luggage down. We found a fairly large room downstairs with two ladies behind the bar pouring wine. We got a lukewarm reception (maybe because we were the youngest couple there and not white, lol). After a few minutes, we chatted them up and ended up leaving them a $10 tip. They really warmed up to us by the end, big surprise. Anyway, the wine list for the complimentary tasting wasn't stellar, but considering it was free, I had no complaints. We headed back upstairs, to Room 103 and did a closer inspection of our "home away from home" for the next couple of days: *Queen bed *Fireplace *Flat screen TV * Semi-private patio leading to a common garden *Spa bathtub *Free WiFi Cons: -Noisy, noisy, NOISY air conditioner -Leaky shower, had to keep bathroom door shut at night -Light was out in the hallway Pros: -Complimentary wine tasting that starts around 5p or 5:30p -Free parking -Pretty grounds -Enjoyed a bubble bath in the spa tub and I'm usually one to pass on taking a bath in a tub that doesn't belong to me -Complimentary breakfast that was just OK, it was a nice alternative if you wanted something free All in all, we had a pleasant stay. I don't think I would come back to this particular inn unless there was some sort of promotion, etc. I'd be more inclined to check out a new venue instead. read more

I stayed at the Inn at Churon Winery last week and contrary to some other Yelper reviews I had the most amazing stay and experienced WONDERFUL customer service! We were checked in quickly and promptly and our room was ready right away. We were told about the complimentary wine tasting and included morning breakfast. We went right to our room and it was gorgeous!!!! Amazing view from our private balcony, the room was spacious and very clean. It had a fireplace and big TV. The bathroom was huge with a jacuzzi tub and separate sinks. (see photos) and our King size bed was plush and super comfy. The one and only complaint I had about the room was the water pressure in the shower. It is super weak I couldn't even rinse the conditioner from my hair. But it's an old building and I'm sure it has its quirks. Not a big deal. Once we were settled we took advantage of walking around the gorgeous property! It is truly stunning and you are right in the vineyard. We even plucked a few grapes right off the vine. This is how you want to stay in wine country! Not in some Hampton Inn, etc. This place has character, charm and breathtaking views. We then took advantage of the wine hour in their tasting room which is large and spacious. No problem getting a spot at the bar. Dani was doing the tasting and was very nice and knowledgeable about the wines and some of the sights and hot spots in Temecula. She even stayed a few minutes after closing to make sure we got to taste all the wines! It was awesome. The breakfast in the morning included 2 mimosas and can be enjoyed inside or out on the patio overlooking the vineyards. There weren't many choices, maybe 6 or so. I am a vegetarian and there wasn't anything vegetarian on the menu but they were super accommodating and altered some of the menu items so I could enjoy them. While it isn't a gourmet huge breakfast that you might get at a bed and breakfast, it is way better than some continental breakfast of just muffins and cold cereal. And it was nice to sit down and have breakfast served to us. I thought it was just lovely. Overall, i can't say enough good things about the Inn. The pictures don't do it justice! And one final example of how they went above and beyond to accommodate us. We have a fully electric car (Tesla) and there aren't any EV charging stations in wine country. They were so sweet and totally ran an extension cord outside so we could plug in our car! That is service. I would definitely stay here again and hope I get the chance sooner than later :) read more

A Great place that we have been to a half dozen times! We've celebrated several anniversaries here. Rooms are large, balconies have fantastic views of the vineyards, and the bathrooms are big and comfortable with jetted tubs and a large shower. We always rise early to see the hot air balloon's take off. The included breakfast is always well prepared, with a number of choices. The staff is excellent. The Inn at Churon Winery is quiet and peaceful, but still near many other wineries. We will go back. read more

We once again had an amazing stay at Inn at Churon Winery! It is a very romantic getaway escape and waking up to the views of hot air balloons flying over the beautiful rolling hills of Temecula is a delight! The property and surrounding areas are very pleasant to walk around during sunset time. The staff is very personable and accommodating. We ordered in our breakfast, to enjoy it with the view from our room. We asked if it was possible to receive a vegan version of their breakfast and the Chef was kind to accommodated us with a plate of their fresh fruit, country style potatoes and toast. There's a mini fridge in the room, so bring a soymilk with you, if this is something you desire with your coffee in the morning. We also ordered the Mimosa, which was a nice detail to the breakfast. The fireplace in the room is also very pleasant! The wine tasting staff is very knowledgeable and their wines are quite palatable! We shall return again soooon :):) read more

Wonderful long weekend at Churon Inn. The staff is welcoming and efficient. Enjoyed wine tasting there - chardonnay and zinfandel were amazing. We had Room 215, the Chardonnay suite, which has an amazing bathroom, separate sitting room, balcony, and two fireplaces. Comfy bed. Breakfast was included and was excellent. Tried all the choices - eggs benedict, french toast, omelette and more - all were delicious. Very quiet and within walking distance of other tasting rooms. Highly recommend. Pleasantly surprised by this little hotel! We arrived to live music on the patio. Great BBQ chicken sandwich. Buy two and you receive 50% off a bottle of wine. Great deal! So we enjoyed food, wine, and music with a beautiful view! We got to our room and there was a complimentary bottle of wine waiting. Room was cute and clean. Fireplace in the room and lovely balcony. Wish the room had robes...always a great amenity. Nice bathroom with jacuzzi tub. Shower a little small but was ok. The hotel also offers free wine tasting and a delicious breakfast with the rate. The inn itself is a very nice B and B with comfortably appointed rooms and a nice breakfast and beautiful view. Unfortunately, when it comes to hospitality it falls very short. On the first two days of our stay we were awoken by hammering, trucks and heavy equipment and many workers talking outsides our window at SIX THIRTY AM. When I complained to the desk I got a shrug of the shoulders and a "I know" and was told I'd have to speak with the General Manage. When will he/she be in? "When he/she gets here". No explanation, no apology no follow-up. No repeat visit by this unhappy visitor.... VERY DISAPPOINTED! read more

Loved this place. The room was nice. I loved that it was spacious and the bathtub and the bed... AWESOME big bed. I think it was really romantic. He got the suite room. The standard room is different. We had our own balcony and it was really just pretty. They gave us a fridge so we put all our wines in there and it was great because I got to drink before going on the balloon (scared of heights) and so I drank A LOT to calm down. The place was clean for us. So I loved it. BREAKFAST: We got free breakfast with the room and it was really good. I didn't have any complaints. AMBIANCE: The wine room was pretty, I love the staircase going to the win room and their wines were good. I drank a LOT. The outside grapevines were nice to look at. :D Overall, I loved this place. Hard to find at night because no lights, so make sure you come to Temecula during the day. read more

Found this place five years ago and have stayed here four times since. It is a bit pricey but worth it. Price includes a spacious room, fireplace, jacuzzi, separate shower, mimosa breakfast, daily wine tasting, AND a bottle of wine. Can't beat that. Staff is super friendly and nice. This place has the look and feel of a large chateau run by a small family who might be in a little in over their heads. Kind of like in an '80s movie where a big corporation is on the verge of buying out a family run hotel and ruin a fun winery town forever, but then Bill Murray rallies the troops and throws a huge party to raise the money to save the chateau. You can tell that the folks at Churon really try hard to make your experience awesome and the rooms themselves are incredible. There's just those little things like a snack and ice area that may or may not be in the middle of construction, light switches that don't work, a box of documents chillin by and old thrift store couch in the hallway, limiting their complimentary wine tasting to one hour at 5pm, that make it seem like the proprietors are being spread a little too thin. All that being said, this B&B is a cute place to stay while in Temecula wine country. read more

Came here for a friends wedding and their venue is gorgeous. Very pretty views which makes it great for those sunset pictures.

Pros: 1) Pretty grounds 2) Easy to find, parking plentiful 3) Rooms nicely appointed, views from most rooms 4) Sheets were soft and beds comfy, fireplace in each room. Tile floors and glass shower doors are nice. 5) Food is presented well 6) Staff is friendly and helpful 7) The special dinner offered only on Friday nights is elegantly presented with paired wine per course. It is served in their front lobby, not a separate dining room, however, but it is nice. Cons: 1) No swimming pool, no lounge chairs for sunbathing or relaxing 2) No computer/business room or complimentary internet 3) No coffee pots in rooms, or coffee available in lobby at any time 4) No fruit bowl or lemoned water in the lobby 5) No pastries offered. We've never been to a B&B that doesn't offer pastries, and since this is a French-themed B&B we kinda expected to get some :( 6) Breakast is limited choices, no cereal, yogurt, (or pastries, lol) 7) TV reception was poor on our flat screen tv, not HD 8) No private stall for toilet commode/ just one big room with the commode open 9) No chairs for sitting during happy hour/wine tasting. You must stand or browse the gift shop. Cheese and crackers are offered with the wine. 10) The $65/pp dinner comes with paired wine for each course. Our prime rib was overcooked and very "winey" tasting, overpowering the beef flavor. Summary: For the price it is not a bad choice. There are other places to stay on Winery Row, but all are more expensive. This is a quiet kick-back-do-nothing type place. I would've liked a lounge chair for the patio/lawn area to lay back and read in the sun. Weather was perfect. Vines were nice and green. Come in spring or early summer when everything is green. I LOVE the Churon. It has a quaint, romantic, French villa style feel with all rooms having a private blacony facing the beautiful wine country of Temecula, with its rolling green vineyards. The service is exceptional. We LOVE the Chardonnay suite, which is their largest room with a very private balcony, a very large tub, and a gorgeous view. We love to try the wine tasting, and it is a good distance to Old Town, Carol's Restaurant, and Michael's Kitchen, which are great destination. The rooms have fireplaces, big tubs, beautiful comfy beds, clean facilities, fridge, coffee maker, and free bottle of wine from their grapes. No noise at all. Pro tip: sleep with the door and drapes open all night for maximum fresh air and catch a beautiful morning sunrise view with the fog! Pro tip #2: make sure you go to Old Town and eat out there! read more

We absolutely loved our stay here. We got a coupon from travelzoo that was about $300 for two nights. It included breakfast for two mornings (two mimosas included), two free tasting tickets (with up to 5 tastings), a bottle of wine, and a beautiful room. We were lucky enough to get a second floor room with a balcony and oh my gosh. The view was spectacular. Specially early in the morning with the hot hair balloons. It was breath taking! We had the most disappointing, frustrating experience with Churon Inn. My son was getting married at Ponte on 11/5. We chose Churon as a place for family and friends to stay. We also booked 2 expensive suites as a place for the groomsmen to get ready, and as a place to gather after the wedding. Churon was amazing at promising us early check-in so that wedding preparation could take place. I loved working with them (PRIOR to the wedding day). I called each day the week prior to the wedding, confirming an early check-in. The day of the wedding I called to be sure our rooms were ready. SURPRISE... the cleaning staff had started at the other end of the hall and our room would not be ready until 3. WHAT??( after so many confirmation calls and promises)??!! Then, as we are dressing and prepping for the wedding I receive a call that our room was flooded by the prior occupants and would be ready late. And damp. With fans. I asked for a discounted rate (this us a $450 room), and was told the best they could do was give us a bottle of wine. No discount. I asked to talk to the general manager, who was there but in a meeting. He would not excuse himself to talk to a very angry customer. I asked to have him call me back when his important meeting concluded. Crickets. Never received a call. I asked numerous times for a discounted rate since we couldn't get in when promised, and the room would be far from perfect. No discount...again a bottle of wine offered. We are now going to be in our $450 room from 11 pm until 8 AM. I asked for a refund. They chose to refund my room rather than give me a discount. This is all happening as we are dressing for our son's wedding. We had guests in 5 other rooms there that night, and they would not accommodate us. I am beyond furious, and so unaccustomed to such horrible customer service. A general manager...never calling a frustrated customer back...speaks volumes! read more
