I suffered a concussion/traumatic brain injury | after being rear-ended and side-swiped in my car…read moreby a reckless driver awhile back. I was embarrassed to be ref'd for Cognitive Rehab at the time. But, Jim Davis treated me so kindly and skillfully with a series of weekly sessions in which I improved tremendously. Unfortunately, my car was hit again while I was turning left on a green light in Feb of 2021. Although the neurology office I have been seeing again recommended Cognitive Rehab, once again for my re-activated concussion, it has been made much too difficult and stressful to work with that particular neurology office. Since I don't know where else to go and transfer my case,, it seems that I will not be able to get any of the tremendous help that Jim provided me with the last time. I dearly need it and only wish I could because it was invaluable to my recovery. In the meantime, to anyone else referred for Cognitive Rehab, I'd like to say, don't be embarassed like I was at first. There's nothing to be ashamed of. Jim Davis is a super- specialist at what he does, is compassionate and highly skilled, His accessment and treatment will help you tremendously. And, the homework treatment is actually fun after awhile!

I had tried PT several times in the past, and never got any help from the one-size-fits-all, one part at a time approach. I was reluctant to try this place for that reason, but I am sure glad I did. Jim and his staff's approach is completely different. They look at your functioning as a whole, and work towards retraining your body to work with your mind. The staff is amazing-- kind, considerate and knowledgeable. They really care about their patients health and recovery, and treat everyone with respect and compassion. We are really lucky to have this place in Temecula.

Well , I have nothing but good things to say about this place !…read more I (unfortunately )have been dealing with alcoholism for the past 20 years in and out of detox trying to get better and this place hands-down was the most caring staff members I've been around. I'd like to give props to everyone that works there. I really appreciate it and thank you to Keenan for setting up such an awesome staff. I highly recommend this place to those that need help and want to be in a safe clean environment so if you're ever down and out, please give them a call. They are awesome. It Works!

My experience with this program was extremely disappointing and distressing…read more I was transported by Uber approximately two hours away from my home to attend this program. After I expressed concerns about my care and advocated for my own medical decisions because I felt something wasn't right, I was taken to a hospital in Temecula and then left there. I ultimately chose to leave the hospital against medical advice because I believed the treatment being proposed was unrelated to why I had been brought there. The program later dropped off my luggage at the hospital but expected me to arrange and pay for my own transportation home, which cost more than $150. Since they arranged for me to travel there in the first place, I felt abandoned and unsupported. As someone who is legally disabled, this situation created significant hardship. I have repeatedly contacted the program requesting the return of the rest of my belongings and reimbursement for the transportation home. To date, I have not received a response. Based on my experience, I did not feel respected, heard, or treated with dignity. I felt that my concerns and personal autonomy were disregarded throughout the process. One additional concern I observed was that staff was constantly on their phones, all thru my intake which did not get completed and patients were allowed to use cell phones in ways that, in my opinion, raised privacy concerns. I cannot recommend this program based on my experience. Thankfully, I sought treatment elsewhere and am grateful to say that I am now clean and sober. If you're looking for a program where you'll feel supported and respected, I encourage you to carefully research your options before choosing this facility.

Before working with Sandee, I had seen several chiropractors, massage and physical therapists as…read morewell as an acupuncturist for my neck/arm/shoulder pain -- nothing helped and I was losing hope. I had an MRI that showed herniated discs and narrowing recesses on C5-C6/C6-C7. The Osteopath I was seeing started telling me about surgical options. I wanted nothing to do with that. I also didn't trust that this was solely disc-related. I was being treated by a local physical therapist (Dan Mangen), who recommended I connect with Sandee to try Pilates. I met with her and she recommended I start with Egoscue Therapy first, to correct my posture. This approach made sense to me. I agreed that poor posture and bad daily habits had been a factor to my condition. The Egoscue Method is NOT a quick fix and there are no guarantees. It takes dedication, consistency and hard work. Working with a certified specialist ain't cheap either, but I'm SO glad I tried it and grateful for Sandee. When I began with Sandee, I could barely handle the most basic positions or movements. The pain was severe. I noticed slight improvement after several sessions and once I started doing the my "menu" at home with increasing the frequency, I really started to make progress. After the 8 sessions, I still had some pain, but I also had hope again, because I could tell I was improving. I was able to sleep through the night and manage my pain during the day. Next, I started doing pilates with Sandee -- another new thing I'd never tried before. Pilates is no joke. It's humbling and quickly exposes your weaknesses (which is a good thing). Thankfully, Sandee is an awesome instructor who knows how to push your limits without jeopardizing injury. This has been the longest and most challenging period of constant physical pain I've every experienced. It took a over 5 months of working with Sandee, but I finally feel like I have my life back, and I have her to thank. I'm still doing my Egoscue "menu" regularly at home and have continued taking Pilates with Sandee. My flexibility and core strength have greatly improved. So many people have back, neck and shoulder pain. Lots of them end up getting surgery. I'm very thankful I was able to find a non-invasive option and avoid getting my discs fused. Clearly a lot of the back pain out there is a result of physical habits -- poor posture, sitting too much, looking down at our phones, driving, not stretching, etc. And if that's the case, then is makes sense that pain could be reversed by changing those habits and putting into practice the right exercise and movement. While spine adjustments might help in certain cases, lasting relief more likely comes from changing, or offsetting, the habits that caused the pain in the first place. For me, the Egoscue Method and Pilates appear to be doing just that.

I didn't gain excess weight, fit into my clothes up until the last 2 weeks and felt great. Labor was much easier and I was able to have the birth I wanted, which I credit pilates a lot for. I can't wait to get back at it post-partum!
