I had struggled with anxiety for over half my life, to the point where even leaving my house felt overwhelming. As my anxiety worsened, my world kept getting smaller, I wasn't living much of a life. Starting this journey was scary, but Deanne made me feel completely heard during my consultation, and I knew I was in the right place to heal. I've now completed 17 sessions, and I'm honestly amazed at how much my life has changed. I'm facing triggers head-on with little to no difficulty, and I finally feel like I'm living again. If you're on the fence, go--show up scared, show up unsure. I only wish I had found this sooner. Thank you, especially to Bennett, for helping me through my hardest moments and celebrating my progress every step of the way.

I had so many indescribable symptoms and was no longer living life, spending months in bed, not recovering. Through oxygen therapy, one day I had a moment of clarity that neurofeedback was what I needed next. I searched area clinics and though it was a long drive for me, I chose this clinic based upon the heartfelt reviews. From the moment I walked in I knew I was where I neededto be. I cannot say enough on how transformational it has been for me, I would not be functional enough to move into the next phases of recovery without it. Deanne and Bennett are so caring and knew the treatments I needed and worked with me, how my system tolerated, as it was a series of symptoms I was working through. They were both very knowledgeable and I was in the absolute best hands. There are so many ways neurofeedback can help people, I truly believe this saved my life. Thank you Bennett and Deanne for everything

Finding Dr. Tull has been a life-changing experience for me, she listens, she understands, she is firm and she is kind. She really understands where the things that plague me come from, and why, and how it affects me today. She helps guide me, in a gentle but not sugar-coated way through the process of seeing and understanding myself and the world I live in and how to function in that world in a way that felt impossible before and now feels not only entirely possible but absolutely achievable.

In addition to my father being at the end of life, family dynamics were really unbearable and seeing Kathryn really helped. Our first session was 2 hours so I could give her the back story. I thought that was really nice to have that longer session, as a 50 minute time period can fly by quickly, especially when you really need immediate support. Kathryn was an incredible listener and very compassionate. I felt extremely comfortable with her right away. I highly recommend her services. She has a lot to offer someone who is looking for a therapist. She is confident and solid in her approach. At the end of my stay, she wished me well and instructed me to continue with therapy or grief counseling, which I did. I really felt she cared about me and my situation. I am in gratitude and appreciation of the time she spent with me and the help and ease those sessions lent to my peace of mind. Thank you, Kathryn. You were truly an angel for me.

I know I'm like one of the worst parent's out there when it comes to taking care of my children…read more My son is 9 and even though I think something is up with him whether it be ADHD or Aspergers I still haven't had him diagnosed. One of the reasons is because I probably have the same thing and every time even the slightest road block comes in my way I freeze and give up. So insurance and the pediatrician not knowing where to direct me really made me just give up. I've asked 3 doctors on where I should go. And I went to a counselor to help get him diagnosed. They all seem to not know anything. I thought people were in denial about their kid having disorders but no I have to fight to say that something is wrong with my son. None of his teachers, except his preschool teacher, has told me to get him diagnosed. And thank you Miss Michelle for telling me to get diagnosed. I'm sorry I never really followed through. Once that counselor spent an hour with me and an hour with my son to tell me that maybe he has ADHD and gave me a bunch of crap printouts on how to deal with it I was out. But I digress. I researched online how to remedy certain behaviors. And neurofeedback based on EEG readings popped up in my research. Looking online Terry was the only local person who would do this service. These services are not cheap cost me about $3K once it was all said and done. In conjunction with the help of my son's 1st grade teacher, I felt my son was improving his focus at school, didn't really change much at home. He was excited to go to his appointments. I didn't see huge improvements, but there were definite improvements and now that i think about it, I think i will attribute all those improvements to his teacher. Well after the treatments stopped and he went into 2nd grade it was like he regressed to kindergarten. His handwriting which improved soooooo much in 1st grade now looked like when he was in kinder only smaller because they use smaller paper. And in 3rd grade they still look pretty awful. He is still not at the level he was in 1st grade. If you research online these treatments are supposed to be lasting. Not a cure necessarily, but whatever effects it did have are supposed to be lasting. My son usually went in to do the treatments by himself while I waited outside. She usually let him pick what game to play. And he tried different ones each time going back and forth between certain games. But other than doing his games I didn't really get any other feedback. Every once in a while she said his focus was getting better. She is a marriage therapist that dabbles in neurofeedback. I still believe in these treatments, but I really feel someone who specialized in children's mental health would have far better results. I can assure you I regret doing these treatments especially because of the costs. I'm trying some other new non-traditional treatments now but feel that even if they don't have the results I really wanted for my son, there will at least be more harmony in the house because they teach us what is going on in a child's mind and how we should react. And it doesn't cost nearly as much. But there is so much more work to it.

I noticed improvement after the first session and have continued to experience progress since then. I took an integrative approach to my treatment, which also included chiropractic adjustments to my neck and jaw, additional laser therapies at my chiropractor's office, and SoftWave therapy. To my surprise, the Remy laser was far superior to the SoftWave therapy for my condition. I believe this is because the laser was able to target certain areas that SoftWave could not. Additionally, the entire staff is friendly and incredibly helpful, from the receptionists to the therapists who administer the laser therapy. Rachel has administered most of my laser treatments, and she is the absolute best! I feel comfortable telling her where my pain points are, and she makes sure to address them. She also follows up on my progress and asks thoughtful questions to help me determine whether certain pain is referred or the primary source. I am very grateful to the entire Chief Physical Therapy team for their care, expertise, and support in helping me make meaningful progress in my health.

After being diagnosed with nerve impingement in my shoulders, my doctor wrote an Rx for PT, suggesting another place in town. After seeing the reviews, I went to Chief. I am super impressed with the personal service and having a one on one with the same therapist (doctor). They really know their stuff and how the body is supposed to work. I had previously been given shoulder exercises elsewhere, but had never been taught the nerve glide that stretches the shoulder nerves to your fingertips. That and other exercises practiced at home proved to be the treatment I needed. The video instructions provided were extremely helpful to teach me to do the PT on my own. I love that this is a small practice that treats patients individually. It really made a difference in my treatment, and a bigger difference in my quality of life. The odd compliment was to stop going to their business because they taught me the skillset I needed to improve my situation. I appreciate how the exercises were explained as to the benefits they would provide. I will add one piece of advice to this review. Before surgery, seek out different doctors in different practices. Sometimes a neurosurgeon might readily intervene when physical therapy is the better treatment option. Based on my symptoms, I had two cervical discs fused and am not convinced the surgery was the best approach. Ironically, an orthopedic surgeon quickly diagnosed my shoulder nerve impingement and suggested PT over surgery. I will never know if my cervical fusion was necessary, but I am glad to have significant pain reduction and mobility thanks to the treatment at Chief Physical Therapy.
