My sister had to request them to do something and they wouldn't. After my sister was adamant, my mom was finally transferred to the hospital where she ended up passing away within a couple of days. I do not recommend this facility because of that and because of the lack of care she received. Oh and she kept being found unresponsive because they were giving her insulin when she was barely eating. We asked them to stop giving her insulin but they never stopped. Her death could have been prevented from happening so soon had they taken better care of her.

The facility is modern, clean, welcoming, and staffed with truly exceptional people. I would especially like to recognize Jiellen T., the case manager assigned to my dad. She went above and beyond to make sure he received the proper care, love, and support throughout his stay. Her dedication, professionalism, commitment, and genuine willingness to help are beyond words. She was always responsive to our calls and messages and consistently kept us updated. We are incredibly grateful that we had the opportunity to meet someone like her. She is truly a gem! They would never…read morebrush her hair so it became so tangled, when we asked that they please just brush it once a day a CNA cut off the tangled hair in the back and left the rest of the hair long. Her personal belongings were constantly "misplaced", her room and her were always unhygienic. We could NEVER get ahold of the nurses station, but when I would be there the RN would be sitting on her personal phone on Facebook. She developed multiple bedsores while there. And that's not even everything that was wrong with place. If you have the option to have yourself or a loved one in any other facility I would recommend never sending them to Menifee lakes. There were 2 CNAs we worked with occasionally that seemed to genuinely care, but other than that the experience was absolutely dreadful and made the already devastating process of losing a loved one even more stressful. Also I don't know when these pictures were taken but they are out of date and don't represent the facility well.

Now, I am receiving calls regarding billing, when I have not received an accurate detailed account of mom's stay or indication that insurance has been billed. The person calling me is rude and unwilling to let me speak or respond to explain our concern and expectation of written documentation. Mom's stay was continually renewed by this facility without our approval nor were we notified each time they extended her stay. We finally had to make the decision to discharge mom based on the fact that there was nothing physically wrong and no need for her to be there. Do not allow your loved one to go to this facility.

The facility itself is modern, clean and has large patient rooms. The physical therapy room is also large, modern and welcoming. There is a place for patients to safely sit outside. He was released after 2 wks, unable to walk & in tremendous pain. When he requested 911 to be called called staff manhandling error, they ignored him. They do not wash their hands from room to room, and due to this dismal like of basic hygiene, he now has MSRA. I just called Ryan @ the Springs the only Mgr that is proactive, and alerted him to MSRA is in the wild @ Springs. The food is processed & horrible. Most of the CNAs are untrained, and this is a cash cow for the greedy, and often sued owner. Google the 2.5 mil lawsuit he just lost, he owns hundreds of these Skilled Nursing Care Rehabs. Many, more than 10 per hall, sit in their wheelchairs, outside their room all day. Looking drugged & lost. Some of them repeatedly requesting a blanket. Most looking more than half dead. If you care about your loved one find another facility.

I must give special mention to CNAs Veronica and Alma with whom I spent the majority of my time. They were always attentive and cheerful when I needed it most. Assistant Director of Nursing Mike Lamb also went out of his way to assist me when I had questions or concerns about my situation. The Physical Therapy team was fantastic in their approach to my healing. Primarily led by Ted and Jurbee, my PT sessions became the best part of my day. Their expertise and advice produced immediate results and made me feel much more confident in my ultimate recovery. Finally, your Administrative team- Meredith Shipley, Erin Hickey and Crystal Islas provided the patient related information I needed to relieve undue stress from the moment I was admitted to the day of my release. Again, special mention to Erin and Crystal for their efficiency. Both went above and beyond to assist me with scheduling doctors appointments and home nursing follow-up. The owner and operator, Unikka, is not an invisible name. She is present overseeing, interacting, and supervising her hand selected staff. Situated on a sleepy country road just outside of old town, the facility is more like a large home. The kitchen is very visible and spotlessly kept. A large sitting room (family) greets you, bright and cheery. Having been in many assisted livings and nursing facilities, the demeanor and loving staff mark this as an exceptional rest for those in rehabilitation or needing consistent care and encouragement.
