Wish I would've seen all the one stars reviews before I was BOTCHED UP. I had two laser scar removal sessions on my stomach above my belly button. For both appointments SHE WAS LATE. The first one: 20 minutes late. I waited outside her establishment. Didn't think much of it. It happens. The first session took about 3 months to fully heal. Had to do a lot of chasing to be able to confirm whether or not I was ready to book session two. It is incredibly difficult to get a hold of her. Only way is to leave an Instagram DM and wait for her response weeks later. SECOND SESSION SHE WAS 30 MINUTES LATE. she parked the car in front of her office. You are not allowed to park there. She rushed through the laser procedure and she was looking back at the window behind her, for most of the session, making sure she didn't get a ticket. This session felt A LOT MORE PAINFUL than the first. My assumption was that maybe the skin was doing some extra work .. and the scar would be gone soon. Or at least a shade lighter. NOPE. BURNED MY SKIN. It's been about 8 months since my second visit. Not only do I still have the scar. It's darker AND on top of that I have the hyperpigmentation scar from the laser treatment. The other artist who did the laser removal commented the work done by Joanne was bad and my brows were uneven. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY First let me say I am heavily tattooed and know proper aftercare for good results. I have dry skin which usually is great for tattoos because it retains the ink. That being said I went to Inked by Joanne after following her on instagram for a year. To schedule the appointment I initially contacted her through IG because no one answers the phone, which should have been my first red flag but I just assumed she had a busy shop. Her IG is run by her assistant who is her daughter. You never get Joanne My first appointment was a nice experience and my brows came out beautiful. She explained the after care and gave me coconut oil to put on them for 7-10 days. I thought this was also unusual because oil and moisture causes a tattoo to spread under the skin. But I figured this indifferent then a regular tattoo and she knows better then me. I followed her instructions to the letter .. no lotions for 10 days and only water on my face and not the brows. Only her ointment on the brows. By the time I reached my car one eyebrow was bleeding heavily, and because this is not put in deep I knew it would bleed out the ink. I tried to contact her to discuss it and again could not reach her. I also sent several pics with questions through IG and did not get a response for several days. When I got a response it was her assistant, her daughter, who basically blew me off. I demanded to speak to Joanne. When she finally called she said let's see what it looks like in 4 weeks and that's why I get 2 sessions. After 2 weeks one brow did not retain any ink. The other brow only retained ink from the arch to the tip and it is not the same color as my eyebrows and to make it worse it looks like a black smudge. The ink ran under the skin and looks like someone drew on my face and then smudged it. Again I started calling and sending IG messages and no response. I finally get the daughter and tell her I am hesitant to come back and that I want to reschedule until I speak to Joanne. She was only focused on the reschedule going past the recommended 6 weeks and said I would have a $50 additional fee. At this point I lost it and demanded to speak to Joanne. She called back and assured me she could fix them and to make the appointment. I asked if I could start wearing makeup on them because they look so bad she said yes. As I got closer to the appointment I got scared they would both end up a heavy smudged line and decided to cut my losses and not go. Missing that appointment finally got her attention and she called. She asked me to text her pics and of course started asking what products I use and telling me I caused the change but she will fix it. Again I followed her instructions to the letter after the first session and basically put nothing on my face until she had said I could, but she seemed concerned so I agreed to make the appointment and send her pics. Well I sent them and asked what she thought and guess what..... NO RESPONSE AGAIN. So at this point I am done I will not be going back for a touch up at fear she will mess up my face. My first appointment pic is also on her IG which now I see those are all UNHEALED pics.... she is not showing what they look like after a few months. I will not be calling to cancel I am going to show her the same courtesy she has shown me. A waste of $450 and now I am looking for a good laser removal place The pic with full brows was taken the day of the procedure... the other three is how they healed. read more

Great eyebrow microblading with Joanne's assistant. I think her name is Olga. That was 1 1/2 years ago, and although I made an appointment with Joeanne it turned out that I was seen by her assistant. Joeanne did come periodically oversee. But let me tell you I after it healed, I was completely thrilled with her assistance's beautiful work. I had no problems with my follow up appointment. I went for my first ever microblading appointment with Joanne almost a year ago. My experience on the day of was a pleasant one and Joanne was very professional. Unfortunately I was very disappointed with the results. She asked for a wish pic, I showed her a pic of my own brows shaded in (because I wanted my brows to look as close as possible to how I draw them) she agreed and my brows came out nothing like the picture. They were way too thick and she placed them lower than I usually like and they are uneven. She did measure them out and I gave the "ok" BUT I did say they were too thick at that time and she assured me they would shrink...Well they didn't. The brows were not defined enough for me and I didn't like the shape. I tried to be patient but unfortunately I still did not like them after they healed which is why I let them fade. Here is where where the larger part of my issue lies. I did not communicate with Joanne until I showed up to her appt. Someone else manages all the communications/customer follow-up. I followed all recovery/post procedure directions but was starting to get nervous about my healing process and scabbing (long story short) There was no follow-up and my text/calls went unanswered until her assistant felt like texting back about 4 days later. I was disgusted and didn't want to be bothered because by then I had managed the issue on my own. This was very disappointing because the procedure is not cheap and people can heal differently. More attention needs to be given to customer follow-up and someone should be available to answer questions within 24 hours of a call or text. Not days later after a procedure which breaks the skin. I never went back for my touch up because I felt as though once you're done with the procedure and she has your money they pretty much don't care and really don't appreciate clients. I just booked an appointment with EverTrue Salon to redo my brows. I think Joanne should revaluate her post procedure follow-up timelines, have reasonable phone/text hours, train her assistant on being more professional, and last but not least, show a bit of appreciation and concern for customers who are paying a lot of money for this service. read more

Terrible! I'm so angry! My eyebrows are grossly uneven. One is higher than the other and one of the inner corners extends out more than the other, so you can imagine what that looks like. Never going back there again! read more

After almost a year of looking into the right place for my first microbladding experience, I decided to go with Inkedbyjoanne and on Sept, 7th, 2018. The place was nice and clean and I left loving my brows on day 1 of course as they were freshly done. The healing process was not fun at all as the scabbing begins and you just have to push through it. I scheduled my touchup appointment and when I arrive after my one hour drive there, I am told it is still not time and it needs about another week to heal so I said ok, I'll make another appointment for about 2 weeks from now. I go on the site and make another appointment and unfortunately the night before my touchup I was in urgent care with my sick child so I texted her the next morning telling her I needed to cancel and reschedule and explained the reason. I received a texted back saying " who is this name?, you send message with no name"...... I tell her my name and i received no answer. Ok... A few days later I texted her to reschedule, and since my neighbor had her appointment coming up I wanted to try to go with her since the drive is an hour away for both us. I received no answer again... Fine, I go to the website and try again and there is no availability at all. I once again text her asking her to please see me as I wanted to be done with this process. She finally responds and again gives me a time which with traffic and rush hour was pretty impossible to make. I call, no answer, so I texted and tell her how far i am coming from but she stated after 15 mins late she has another client. So I decided to get off the highway and drive back home as I knew she would not see me. I called and texted and left voicemails to get another appointment and again! no answers! I go on her instagram page and explain the situation again to be told that there was a problem with the site and to go and reschedule again and I did. That saturday I arrive to her block at 430 which is my appointment time. The area this business is located seems very busy and there was no parking at all. I went around for 17mins looking for parking and during this time I texted her that i was going aroung looking and could not find any. Mind you, I can clearly see her inside the business every time i go around looking. It was a very cold evening and since i finally found parking 3 blocks away, i ran to the business and at 450pm!! I FIND THE PLACE CLOSED!!! While freezing, I am calling and calling and calling... no answer. I left 2 voicemails and even an IG DM about my scheduled and CONFIRMED appointment!! No one ever called me back! no one answered! nothing!! I was livid! I had to pay for child care that day as they have a no kids rule, drove over an hour to get there! spent more gas money! and i had already FULLY PAID for this service!! I will NEVERRR recommend this place to anyone again! I will NEVER go back here again! They have the WORST customer service!! Have NO consideration for their clients!! Who drive from far!! to give them almost a $500 business!! So i paid that money to have faded microbladding!! All those pictures you see are freshly done photos!! Where are the fully healed after touchup photos?? I even gave them a few days to see if they would contact me and make things right BUT NO. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE! I have to say my experience wasn't a good one. My eyebrows looked terrible and when I told her they were uneven she said that's how they are shaped. After a month of going back and forth she said she would remove part of the tattoo that is wider than the other brow. Worst mistake of my life. Now I am SCARRED for life. I've been to the dermatologist and was told that the scar wouldn't go away however she would try to minimize it. When I contacted Joanne said call me in a month. I was like for what. Smh I would not recommend her to my enemy. read more
