I have had transmission issues with my supercharged L83, after having to have it rebuilt 3 other times by the same company, it not only failed within a year and half but the same issue of 4,5,6 . If it was an older transmission or even the 4L80 I knew who could do it, but the 6l80 isn't the favorite transmission to work on.. So after my research I found Inglewood transmission, booked an appointment and it's been great so far.. Now it has only been a little over 2,000 miles but I feel the difference, even in this break in phase. They warranty the transmission for 3 years unlimited mileage, as long as you have them service it every 25,000 miles for a very reasonable price. The only issue I have is they are extremely busy, due to their workmanship, understandably, so my truck was only in jail (mechanical jail) a week longer than originally anticipated.. no big deal for the confidence and knowledge I hear when talking to the owner and secretary for that matter, she knows her job.. just wanted to say thank you so much.. I would definitely recommend them to anyone that wants to have a one time fix as opposed to a multiple times issue.. Just the sheer thought of how I'm not worried every time I drive, if it's gonna take a ????,, I just read some of these other reviews, and I gotta say that Evan is one cool and very knowledgeable down to earth business owner, who took the time with me, because I was so skeptical after going through this 3 other times with at most a 6 month warranty.. FIND ANOTHER SHOP!! Terrible customer service and NO communication!! I took my truck in for a stage 1 build after speaking with Evan (owner). I was WELL AWARE that the Ford 5R110W is not a transmission they normally work on but he asked me to bring it in anyway. I dropped it off on the day/time we had agreed on. After not hearing anything for 2 weeks, I stopped by to check on the truck and agree on an approximate date of completion. I wasn't given anything specific other than excuses about this not being what they normally work on. The girl with the colorful hair told me they should be able to get it started by the end of the following week. Once again I stopped by 2 weeks later and got nothing but more of the same excuses. I was told that they are backed up but I cannot believe that EVERYONE waits over 4 weeks before anyone even looks at their trucks... with ZERO notification of any kind. I finally decided to pick up the truck as it was there for over 1 month, UNTOUCHED!! ANY communication regarding the status of the truck would have avoided this experience. I was looking forward to having these guys work on my truck. Knowing what I know now, I don't care what they think they can do. Running a service oriented business requires PROVIDING a service... both mechanical service and customer service in this case. I have nothing good to say but stay away. Update... This guy's response does not surprise me. All lies and deceit. I NEVER CALLED, NEVER HARASSED, and I was NEVER told it was an indefinite wait. I got Evan's number from a close friend of mine. After making a couple calls and text to ask more about the Allison 1000 transmission in my truck and letting them know the use of the truck (towing and tune. GCWR of 28k) Evan took the time to talk with me about the build I need to replace the shuttering I was feeling with my stock transmission. Then, I scheduled a the repair for a week later. My lady and I drove 850 miles to Inglewood Transmission and dropped the truck off at 8am on Friday morning. Evan's team removed the transmission from the truck. Tore it down, cleaned it. Rebuilt it to the specifics we discussed on the phone (750hp build. AKA Juggernut Jr) with a new torque converter. Reinstalled the new built transmission and we got the truck back that afternoon at 5pm. YES! SAME DAY TURN AROUND!!! Oh! They also found an issue with my transfer case, called me and also sent me a video of the issue. And fixed it! (It was an extra charge but needed address and fixed) Still got the truck back at 5pm that same day! We then drove home and had ZERO issues with the truck. It drove amazing! Spoke with a guy Named Evan Drosehn. He quoted me $7800 to get my transmission fixed on my truck. I was working on getting the funds together to pay for the repair but that same day my daughter had to go to urgent care and that took a portion of the funds I needed. After I told him that I was having issues getting the funds together and i needed to hold off for now, he texts me "You can waste someone else's time next time that was weird, Like you just found out now you didn't have money " The nerve of some people, it doesn't matter how good of work you do. I found this place on diesel truck forums. They have a great reputation. I paid them $4,500 to rebuild my transmission. Long story short, my trusty died on me in just a few short miles. I've discovered that although I paid for heavy duty in put shafts, torque converters, and triple disc clutches. I ended up with s stock transmission that died in less then 20,000 miles. I will be taking them to court soon. I have pictures. But I am still very bummed that I got burned for so much money. read more
