Review time This review is after months of driving and putting 3000+ miles on the new transmission. First off I was referred to victory transmission from another shop that did not do import cars. After speaking with the owner and walking the shop I decided to leave them my 03 accord to do the job. They did a great job fixing/replacing the transmission. They also noticed other issues like the radiator and a Catalytic converter. They notified me of the problem and said that they could handle it. Which in my eyes is above and beyond for the them and extremely helpful for me. Now I don't have to get those done at a different auto shop after the transmission was completed. They kept me informed of the progress the entire time they had my vehicle. Everyone at that shop was extremely nice, polite and professional. They explained everything that was being done to my vehicle. I have and will continue to refer people to this shop! read more

I took my car in to have the transmission replaced (about $4000). They replaced the transmission October 2023. The warranty was 12,000 miles/1 year. My AT light (transmission light) came on AGAIN following the original fix... May 2024. I had LESS THAN 2,000 miles more following the original fix. I took my car in because it was still under warranty. They replaced the Shift and reset the TCC Solenoid. Well, I had to take it back AGAIN...September 2024...and it was still under warranty. This time they replaced the Shift Solenoids. WELP... it is November 2024 and the AT light (transmission light) is on AGAIN! I literally drive my car maybe 20 miles a day (M-F)...no hard driving...and always maintain regular maintenance. I'm highly disappointed. read more

If I could give more stars I would. Last March I brought my daughters 2001 Honda Accord in at the recommendation of another well established mechanic. The victory team rebuilt the transmission and all was good. Fast forward to August of this year and the transmission was acting up. I brought it in for the team to look at. Went to this place to have my transmission repaired. The manager came off as a rather "shifty" character. Decided not do business with him.

My wife was told by a mechanic that a noise she noticed while turning left or right was due to a bad transmission. I advised her to call the most honest auto repair outfit I've ever dealt with. She called Rusty's Automotive in Bellflower and spoke to Rusty. As always, he listened to her attentively and suggested she needed a second opinion. She wanted to set up an appointment with him, but he instead referred her to Victory Transmission. She talked to Thomas and told him the problem. She brought her car in left her car with Bryan. About an hour and a half later she received a call and Bryan told her the transmission was fine but the tire was rubbing against the wheelwell. Bryan took care of the problem and said her transmission was fine. As she reached into her purse to get her wallet out, Bryan said there would be no charge. She couldn't believe it. We live in Torrance and it takes an hour to drive Bellflower. It's worth it. You'll never need to take a pregnancy test if you deal with Rusty or Victory Transmission, both in Bellflower. read more

There are good people in this world and Victory Transmission is proof of that! I just knew I was going to pay a lot of money to get my Ford Escort fixed, mainly because I called around to other auto shops who all said that I was going to have to pay $1,500 - $3,000. Once I wrapped my mind around this fact I gathered my monies & started making my way down to hand over $1,500 minimum! On my way to one of these other shops, I remembered years ago visiting Victory Transmission and how they did a good job. I rushed over to Victory Transmission, I paid $45 for him to examined my car, he test drove it, moved a couple things around under the hood and it was fixed. That's it! I was shocked, I was prepared to hand over $1,500 but he told me the job was only $45. He said to me, "You thought you were going to have to spend a lot of money huh?" He could have taken advantage of me but he is a man of integrity and I thank him. read more

All I can say about the guys at Victory Transmission is that they stand behind their work and have bent over backwards to address the issues I had after my rebuild. I had purchased a used F150 in May, and the trans went out in July. Needless to say, I was less than thrilled. Bryan gave me a quote on the rebuild that was $1000 less than another shop in town that I went to first. They did the rebuild, and I picked up the truck. The Check engine light instantly came on and I immediately took it back to the shop. They figured out it was a loose wire on the O2 sensor and fixed it at no charge. Two weeks later, my starter began slipping on some worn teeth on the flywheel. They hadn't rotated it and checked it when the trans was off during the rebuild, so it was going to have to come back off to replace the flywheel. I showed Bryan the removed starter with the damaged gear and a picture of the broken teeth on the flywheel, and he did the flywheel replacement and a rear main seal for $150 labor since they missed it the first time around. They gave me the old flywheel, and in their defense, you couldn't see any wear on the side that faces the transmission. I can totally see how it went unnoticed. They could have told me that I was SOL and sent me on my way, but Bryan and Thomas totally came through and stood behind their work. These guys deserve your business. read more

They rebuilt the Transmission in my 1985 Mercedes 300D diesel and then 2 years later the transmission in my 1992 Mercedes 600 SEL with a V 12 engine. I took my 2000 honda civic in for a declining ill transmission in 2014. It was basically on it's last straw, maintenance light on, sticky and loose shifting (automatic mind you), jumping between gears, struggling sick metal puppy. Basically, I would have to do work arounds, like start on D3 then hit it to D4 to avoid the jump. I did online research for a repair shop. Guys at a repair shop in Norwalk recommended I have Bryan, from Victory Transmissions, look at it, as he's a specialist in transmissions. Bryan felt it was best to look at my issue before giving a quote on the phone. That was fair. Hard to really assess a problem without looking at it face to face. I'm glad I did. After our meeting, I felt comfortable having him rebuild my transmission. It was a year ago, and as of today, I feel it runs well, like the problem didn't exist before. He did recommend that when I'm ready, it would be best to replace the oil pan. I've been setting aside some money for any more car repairs. I'm ready now and hope Victory Transmissions could do the repair for me. read more

I've had two vehicles repaired at Victory Trans. with excellent results. Both are toyota with automatic transmissions. Both with trans. rebuilds. My van had all the signs of transmission problems, clunking, lurching at stops, speedometer wildly jumping all over the place and high rpm's at a stop light. Took it to my mechanic and got the dreaded news that the code read the problem as "transmission." He referred me to the guys at Victory so I limped my barely running van over to them. Thomas said he would run a diagnostic on it and call me. He called within the hour explaining a bunch of numbers that pertained to gear ratios and other stuff I didn't fully understand. He then told me that 90% of the time, replacing the alternator and the OSS sensor would take care of the problem. He said 10% of the time, it is actually the transmission. He also explained why the code read out as being the transmission. After some hesitation, because I didn't have any symptoms of a bad alternator and I had had a new one 3 years prior, I gave him the go ahead. The next day he called and said I could come pick up my van. I was amazed that what he did resolved the problem. Thomas told me that not many mechanics know about this remedy with the alternator because it doesn't present as being an alternator problem. It was his careful diagnostics that revealed to him what the problem was. He has had a lot of experience with this particular problem so he knows what to look for. I could have easily been told I needed a new transmission and I wouldn't have even questioned it because of it feeling and acting like severe transmission problems. Instead of paying $1500 it was only $483. These guys have integrity and above all, they are very honest. I would recommend Victory to anyone who thinks they have a transmission problem...it might not be as bad as you think! read more
