Upon arriving, we saw all the beautiful Christmas trees for sale and were immediately greeted by a very nice young man who asked if we'd ever been there. He welcomed us to check out the store and that there was complimentary mulled cider, apples, and fresh-popped popcorn and coffee, and a whole sitting area to enjoy it in. We purchased their own Cryovacced beef and sausage, some fresh veggies, homemade baked goods, and some cider. The staff was AMAZINGLY friendly! As we were leaving, my children saw some very small broken Christmas tree twigs in the parking lot and wanted to take them home for the ride so they could smell the pine. Another young man called over to me and said he had a better piece for them than what we found on the ground and he gave them a large branch! It just made their day! Then, my daughter saw the horses and he invited us to go and look at them. It was such a gorgeous setting and we really enjoyed everything we purchased. The sausage is out of this world!!! I'd drive 5 hours just to purchase it again!

I could eat them daily if given the chance. Not to be missed for any clam lovers. Plus they have high quality butter that you buy along with the already low priced lobsters and steamers. Keep in mind this is a to go place so it's ideal for a picnic on the Marginal Way or on the sand of beautiful Ogunquit beach at sunset. We had numerous lobster dinners at other places, and still wound up repeatedly revisiting Beach Plum Lobster Farm. They steam the lobsters perfectly, the prices work for us, and we don't need a bib to take the lobsters and home and drink them with a nice glass of chardonnay. Sad to see the outdoor tables are gone, but hey, that's life. Dave and Kelly are also very easy to talk to and are very flexible with requests. It's settled - we're coming here at least twice every time we come to Maine. Also got some oysters this time too, which were a pleasure to shuck and went nicely with the lobsters. We're taking some lobster home with us, just like we did last time, and look forward to coming here again next time we're down this way.

I bought a couple of gorgeous apples whose name I forget, but the one I just ate was fabulous and I wish I'd bought more. I was tempted to drive back, but resisted because thunder and heavy rain was predicted, though it didn't materialize. We bought some garlic herb goat cheese from Four Hearts Farm and a blueberry scone from another stall. The baker of the scones also had pies and breads, more sweet than savory, muffins and other assorted baked goods. We admired some stunningly gorgeous plum tomatoes and I wish we'd bought them. Finally, we bought some white nectarines, so far superior to the ones at Hanaford as to seem like another species entirely. It was a marvelous farmers' market w/ other produce we didn't buy because we're not home and can't use it, like eggplant and other vegetables.
