The MC was great, the hula hoop woman was astounding. Audience participation included young muscular men, all of whom had a sense of humor about the charade. #3. Just outside the big top we got water for $2. I don't want you to miss the memo--it is pretty hot and somewhat stuffy under the big circus top. Adjacent to the water stand we found a stage for magicians. The magician's opening act was much funnier than expected. #4. The demolition derby show lasts about three hours and is totally with the $10 admission if you have a youngster who is excited about such things. Last but not least. #5. As we departed our son had one last request, the bumper cars again. We found them but there was no one else in line, sad. Although I did not pay for a mega-pass the attendant let me drive one car with my husband and son in the other. That was a great way to end a wonderful day.

I'm obsessed with their maple chapstick and bought 4 more! So nice and great customer service. They had a stand with Maple Iced Coffees and Maple Cinnamon Buns and I think hot coffee and hot chocolate. The coffee is brewed with maple so we got one iced with cream and one iced with cream and shot of maple syrup. The coffee was so flavored with maple already I didn't need the maple shot. It was sooooo good. Of course we bought the bag of coffee (it is Benbow's from Maine). They sell lots of Maine Maple goodies. Maple syrup (obvi) but they have a specialty bourbon barrel version as well that makes a nice gift. Their Maple whoopie pie is prob one of my Top 3 fave whoopies in Maine. We bought other goodies..maple cotton candy, maple fudge (which youcan freeze), maple taffy, maple cream and wax dipped cheeses. All the little stands took cards. During busy events they had local police stopping traffic for you to pull out and direct where to park. They also had 2 Porta potties on site.

Beautiful Fall Vibes, Donut Win, Food Truck Fail…read more We visited McKenzie Farm for their Mctoberfest event and had a great time overall. It was super busy, cars packed in everywhere, long lines to get in to pay for the things we bought and for donuts. But once inside, the fall charm made up for it. There was no admission fee which was nice. The apple picking was peaceful with no lines and perfect for photo ops and enjoying the day. We got lucky with hot, fresh apple cider donuts that had just come out when we paid and they were absolutely delicious. The apple cider slushie was refreshing, and I grabbed caramel popcorn to go. Big downside: we waited 20 minutes in line at a food truck only to be told they had to shut down because they ran out of food right when it was our turn. Major bummer! That said, the weather was beautiful, the energy was festive, and the free entry is a big plus. Worth visiting, just go early, expect crowds, and maybe pack a snack!
