This is a cute little farm stand one thing I would recommend is to maybe add more things. But still a wide variety of items, nice music.

Shopped there yesterday for the first and last time. Starting with their ridiculous locked-cart…read moresystem -- I don't carry change any more, haven't in years, it only got worse upon entering (sans cart). The produce section was depressing: unripe mixed with too bananas jumbled together in cardboard boxes, green bell peppers wrapped in clear plastic so that the consumer could see their rotting crowns and stay clear (or at least, I assume that's why they do it that way), etc. They did offer a bag of clementines at a low $2.99, and a bag of very small -- which is how I like them -- at 6 for $3.00; other than that, nothing tempting, except the temptation to wonder what sort of store management allows this unappetizing situation to exist? An excellent sourdough jalapeno cheddar bread loaf (still partially frozen, but no matter), good prices on the store's brand of flour tortillas, which would have been more attractive if they hadn't been three days past their sell-by date -- again, who are the mangers at this store who allow this to happen? -- and and that's it for the bread aisle. Tiny, frozen vegetable and fruit cabinets offering little selection, and lots of chest freezer space devoted to prepared meals, which I don't use. There's a meat department in this store, but by that point I was done with the grand experiment, and lined up at the only staffed check-out counter (out of five), waited, paid, and left. I won't be returning.

The meat section is priced below a regular supermarket but it's all prepackaged, not something I would buy. It's also frustrating to find something I like there only to find the next time I go, they don't have it anymore. The place is relatively clean, lines move quickly, cashiers don't have time to be super friendly, their job is to get you out as fast as possible.

We've been shopping at Aldi going on 7 years since my first review. The rating has gone up a star…read more Everyone there pretty much knows us now, they are very helpful, and the quality of their products is great. We have now started buying our milk from Aldi, switching over from Market Basket. It seems MB doesn't handle their milk very safely - every time we would buy a half gallon of their 2 percent skim milk, it would be sour very quickly! There is somewhere in the supply chain that their milk is getting warm. The Aldi milk, on the other hand, is ice cold when we pull it from the cold chest, and it lasts a good week past the freshness date! Now for the new things we've discovered: their ice cream sandwiches are wonderful; way better than Hood's, which had always been a mainstay! The chocolate cookie outside tastes like it actually has cocoa in it, and the ice cream is nice and creamy. The pre-packaged meal envelopes are great - they have a Pad Thai (pretty spicy), Southwest Burrito filling, and a couple of Indian choices (Vegetable Korma and Butter Chickpea). We pour them into a bowl, and heat for 3 minutes in the microwave, then eat it with a piece of their excellent Naan bread. The fastest lunch around! Their Organic Uncured Hot Dogs are wonderful! Very meaty, and none of the crap that's in many hot dog brands. We put one of them on their brioche hot dog bun with chopped raw onion and German mustard, and have a quick, delicious lunch. Or have them with baked beans for a hearty dinner. As you can see, we're very pleased with Aldi - the only complaint is the recent re-arrangement of the aisle layout. It still drives us nuts! But that said, the food quality, service, prices, and pleasant employees win out!

We have a Hannafords' in town that has limited selections as it occupies the footprint of an older, mom & pop store. I have to confess I have never been to an Aldi and today was the first time as I was in Concord. It takes a little research to go to Aldi for the first time, and even when I did, there were still some surprises. The quarter per shopping cart and the dangling key seemed cosmic until a nice lady said she had finished with a cart she found in the paring lot and gave it to me. So I went inside to see what they had. I did bring several bags and cooling bags as I understood their no bag policy which I found super Super layout of staples, non-perishable items and seasonal products at very competitive prices. The fresh produce section seemed picked over and it was still mid morning. I can imagine what it must look like at 3 PM.... On the other hand, their refrigerated food, cookout items and frozen selections were superb. Wide aisles, friendly people, and nice attendants. Checkout was a breeze. The nice checkout attendant helped me with placing the items in the cooler bag. As anything related to a German company, it was quick and efficient.... I will say that, being an assiduous buyer of organic products, I can see myself coming over for party food and non perishables. However, the shopping experience is excellent.

First - my roommate and I visited Trader Joe's right after moving to Portsmouth. The cashier looked at our IDs since we were buying wine, and when she found out that we had just moved to the area, she gave us a reusable bag as a welcome gift. We were so touched by this welcome and really appreciated the gesture as we had just arrived and were starting to settle in. Second, and most recently, my partner and I were picking up a couple of items on a Sunday night. We went to get in the checkout line and then remembered that we needed to grab one more thing. Just then, the bagging attendant told us "I'll open another lane for you guys" to which we responded that we needed to grab another thing. He told us it was not a problem and he'd be ready when we got back, and returned to bagging. We went, got our item, and upon our return to the checkout line, the attendant immediately opened up another lane. Although this may seem small, I was so appreciative that the attendant not only wanted to improve our experience initially, but cared enough to keep an eye on us while we picked up another item and opened up another lane for us as soon as we returned. I felt that it truly went above and beyond and I wish I remembered his name to give him a shoutout. I would be remiss if I concluded this review with no mention of the Trader Joe's food. Their frozen meals are amazing and all of their food is so high quality; I've never had a product that disappointed.

Since this one is closer than the Portland location, we opted to visit this location. There is ample parking and the staff are friendly.
