It was super busy, cars packed in everywhere, long lines to get in to pay for the things we bought and for donuts. But once inside, the fall charm made up for it. There was no admission fee which was nice. The apple picking was peaceful with no lines and perfect for photo ops and enjoying the day. We got lucky with hot, fresh apple cider donuts that had just come out when we paid and they were absolutely delicious. The apple cider slushie was refreshing, and I grabbed caramel popcorn to go. Big downside: we waited 20 minutes in line at a food truck only to be told they had to shut down because they ran out of food right when it was our turn. Major bummer! That said, the weather was beautiful, the energy was festive, and the free entry is a big plus. Worth visiting, just go early, expect crowds, and maybe pack a snack!

We met the owners and had a wonderful chat before grabbing a large web sack for apples Sue wanted for several apple crisps she had planned on making. Though the orchards are relatively small in comparison to something like Butternut Farm, it's just a beautiful setting out there. I had a great time dragging the wagon along behind Sue while she gathered up her quota.
