When sending flowers across the country, I much prefer researching a local florist rather than…read moregoing through FTD or an online florist. Shopping and supporting local is important to me. I called Flowers by Christine and spoke with Steven. He was extremely helpful and patient and assisted in directing me to a beautiful arrangement for my sister-in-law. The flowers were delivered early in the morning on time for her birthday and Christine sent me a photo. They are beautiful!!! GREAT personalized service and I highly recommend them!!

On a visit to Wells for my mom's 70th birthday, I called Christine very last minute (poor planning…read moreon my part!) and asked if she would be able to make me a gift bouquet. She said to come on down, and generously said she could swing it on short notice. I soon pulled in to find the most charming shop! The outside of the barn was filled with antiques for sale and on display- clever old kids toys/bikes and warm, rustic decor. Inside was inviting and filled with beauty. Silk and and cut flowers at every turn, inviting wreaths, and some sweet ocean treasures. My first impression was that Christine has an eye for style, quality and aesthetic! I requested a bouquet around $85 and she asked a few flower & color preference questions as she went along. She was lovely to chat with. I left the shop so happy with what Christine had arranged- a lovely and giant bouquet that brought my mom to tears. Thank you!

I love buying souvenirs. It's my must-do when I'm traveling. Period. But I certainly don't like the…read moredreadful shot glasses, key chains, mugs, etc. So I'm always on the look out for a bit more interesting shops that sell items that are actually great to give away- like functional souvenirs that I know folks will use: a cloth kitchen towel tagged with that area's location, a locally-made candle, a jewelry dish, etc. Not far from the Perkins Cove Draw Bridge, this is where Junebug's meets me. Whether you're shopping for yourself, family, friends or even pets, there's something eye-catching for almost everyone with a nautical style in mind. I purchased a few gifts for my Auntie-In-Law and my mom which were bagged so cute by Dawn. Thank you! Ogunquit has a lot of posh gift shops, the same way there are many "t-shirt" spots- but if there's one place you can do some serious sophisticated shopping at a small shop, it's here.

I went into this business in Kennebunkport today. I was walking around the shop and taking a few…read morepictures of things that I loved before deciding what to purchase. I had planned on spending quite a bit of money in the store. The woman at the counter came up to me and very rudely told me there was no photo policy and pointed her finger in my face and then pointed to the "no photos" sign that was about the size of a business card. I started to apologize but she had already turned her back on me and walked back to the register counter. EXTREMELY RUDE. If this is how you treat your customers, good luck staying in business.

Such a cute store filled with all sorts of things for locals and tourists alike…read more Inside the store feels like a cross between a hardware / gardening store and a gift shop. Something for everyone! Kiddo of course wanted to play with everything from the bucket of dry sand dollars and starfish to the kitschy bird feeders. (Ava then the past control products). The live plant selection is great too although as we don't have a home here, we weren't really looking for plants but they were beautiful. We stopped in browsing about, as one does when on vacation, and I was instantly entranced by their pies sitting out. They had one cut up for samples and it was amazing so on the strength of the sample (apple pie) we grabbed another (blueberry pie) on spec for later that evening. The pie was the best blueberry pie we've had this season. Who I assume was the owner told us that they're made by a local family and then sold in the store. They sell the pies ready-to-eat (baked) as well as ready-to-bake (refrigerated) in case you want to bake it at home. I'll be back for more pie. Bet on it.

Today I finally called him out in the store because enough is enough. It's inappropriate, unwelcome, and has made me feel uncomfortable every time I've walked through the door. I'm relieved I didn't buy my Christmas tree here, no one should be made to feel that way. I'll happily drive farther for a place that treats customers with basic respect.
