Great selection, very well maintained and extremely knowledgeable staff…read more Good prices, especially for hard to find items. I read the racial profiling reviews, which are from 2 people on the same visit and then 1 more, and have to call BS. When we were there, everyone was helpful, but not overly so. If you asked for help, or had a question, they answered/helped but, mostly left you to wander at your own pace. I too was "followed" while in the store/greenhouse, from a distance, and I'm not a person of color. At one point, I had to wait to get a question answered because the lady I needed to talk to was helping a Black woman, so much for being a racially hostile place. If you look for something hard enough, you can usually find it, or at least convince yourself you did. Lighten up, and things brighten up

This used to be such a wonderful place to explore and find unique and beautiful plants. In the…read moreshort time that Gardener's Supply (an out of state company) has been running it it now feels generic, commercial, and under stocked - missing the beautiful perennials and even original annuals they once had. I used to go in with one idea and leave with a cart overstuffed with what would become a whole new garden. On my last visit I only bought a pair of gloves... Beautiful displays of healthy roses and hydrangeas used to grace the front welcoming in the coastal summer... this year- lots of empty ceramic pots and anemic 4th of July plant displays that look reminiscent of Lowe's. So far Gardener's Supply has managed to ruin in a short time what used to be an excellent nursery. Gardeners don't want more of the same that they can get everwhere else...

I knew I wanted a "fall-colored" bouquet for my October wedding, but that was about it. I'm not…read moremuch of a flower person, so I gave Carley (the owner) the creative freedom to do whatever she thought would look good, and she absolutely crushed it. She incorporated beautiful free spirit roses with greenery and sunflowers to make the fall bouquet of my dreams. It was what she calls a "one-sided" bouquet which not only made for a much easier to hold bouquet, but it also decreased the cost. I asked her if she could do a "pocket" boutonnière for my husband after seeing them on TikTok. She said she had never made one but she'd give it a try. It was absolutely perfect. No pesky pins, it just slid right into his suit pocket. When I went to pick it up she had given me a spare regular boutonnière in case the pocket boutonnière didn't work out- so my dad ended up wearing the spare because he was walking me down the aisle. I also ordered a mini boutonnière for my nephew (our ring bearer) and it was the most adorable little thing. They offered phenomenal same day…read moreservice, which saved me when my order from a national floral service (Teleflora--DON'T order from them) cancelled at the time my **pre-order** was supposed to be delivered. Flowers by Leslie prepared two orders for us: a hand-tied bouquet in our requested color scheme plus an anthurium flowering plant that will far outlive the cut flowers and provide an ongoing reminder to the recipient of our love for her. I'm aware that FbL accepted our order 30 minutes before their closing time on a Saturday and were so wonderful on the phone. It's so hard to find high quality products with an exceptional customer service experience that is also reasonably priced. I highly recommend!

It always pains me to write a negative review for a company that I'd earlier been happy with, but…read morethe utter lack of response through two different channels has given me no other avenue. BEWARE of hidden costs with this company. I'd made some costly purchases from SCN in past years, but I'd always transported my bushes and trees home myself and did the planting. This year, and with growing back issues, I'd decided to have the trees I purchased planted by the company. I purchased two different trees a few weeks apart, hoping to have them scheduled together. I spoke/dealt with two different employees and BOTH times, they explicitly told me the cost of planting and delivery were half the cost of the trees. Planting AND delivery. Both times I asked questions and both times they were told my address. Both times there were ample opportunities for transparency on any additional costs I could incur, but they were steadfast in telling me to expect half the cost of the trees. I waited seven weeks for them to reach me on their delivery schedule, but they did not confirm the day and time until TWENTY minutes before Jake was arriving at my home (he apologized that he forgot). I scrambled to rearrange my morning and had to cancel a work teams call. Jake was great and professional, however, when I went to write out my check, he quoted me an additional $100. When I told him this was entirely unexpected and I wasn't exactly happy about it, he didn't have much to say, staring at his feet and saying that sometimes 'they forget to tell customers' and it's 'based on many factors'. To clarify, we are a straight shot down the highway just a few exits from SCN. Depending on the route, we are 12-14 miles from them. That's it! If they wanted to upcharge for being out of a service radius, they could have been transparent, but they weren't- not to mention the fact that I have NEVER heard of such a short distance being out of a service radius. I have messaged them both through their Facebook portal and also directly to their sales department weeks ago and have heard NOTHING. A $100 gift card or credit for the erroneous upcharge would be a step to making this right, but they don't even respond. SCN has some nice inventory, but they are on the higher end with their pricing if you compare locally. With the added cost, I will have to seriously consider taking my business elsewhere.
