Given the good reviews on Yelp, we came across Chill Catering and hit it off with Gary immediately. Despite such a short notice, Gary was able to accommodate for us, even over a busy holiday weekend, without any issue. The catering menu was so well rounded, all the options made it easy to create a delicious dinner for our guests (The Chicken Piccata was a hit!). His staff was prompt upon arrival, set up on site and executed all the dishes perfectly. They were so friendly with the guests and made sure everyone had tried the chowder, no plate was empty and no drink cup unfilled. The strawberry cake ended up making the perfect mini wedding cake! We cannot thank Gary and his staff enough for their incredible service. 10 out of 10 would recommend for any event catering needs!

Being a NH local, as soon as we toured The View we knew it was the venue for us. Donna & team made every step of the process exceed expectations - from our tasting to the wedding day it was everything we could have hoped for and more. The food was incredible, thank you Chef Eides! We had people complementing it for weeks after the wedding (the house made lemon cheesecake, wow). We wish we could go back and re-live our day over and over again because it was that good. The service and execution that Donna, Eides, and the entire Pepperrell Cove staff offer is next level. We can't recommend this venue enough. Thank you SO MUCH for making it the best day of our lives. Taylor & Justin Jones

I planned the…read moreevent on a short timeline and Donna was great to work with throughout the process - very responsive and accommodating. Of course the view of Pepperrell Cove is breathtaking, but the real star of the show here is the food. We were able to custom tailor the menu to be exactly what we wanted to serve, and it was all made on-site from fresh ingredients - something that is not easy to find at event venues. My family is Italian, from New York and hard to please when it comes to food, and they were all raving about every single dish that was served. Donna's assistance leading up to the event in coordinating with vendors and her hands-on presence during event night made the process seamless. I didn't have a wedding planner / day-of coordinator, and ended up not needing one - she made everything happen perfectly, even making sure our elderly guests had easy access to their seats. I couldn't recommend The View more for a wedding!

The BAD Elephant…read more Blue Elephant is AMATURE catering at best. In a few words: disorganized and dysfunctional management, poor communication, tasteless and bland food. This placed doesn't even deserve one star. Thankfully, boxed pizza saved the day. We hired them for our wedding a few years back to serve apps and a sit down dinner. As appetizers were passed, we noticed there were NO bacon wrapped scallops. Instead, Blue Elephant REPLACED this with some fig-thing! Apparently they were unable or simply forgot to get the scallops?? This last minute substitutions was made WITHOUT our knowledge and without ANY price adjustment/refund towards the bill, which of course they make you prepay in full. No satisfaction guarantee with this company. The plated dinner was such a disaster! The steak was so disgusting and poorly cooked, no one ate it and the brussel sprouts that accompanied it were completely inedible. How do you mess up brussel sprouts?! It was really upsetting to see all the thousands of dollars worth of food, be dumped into the trash. Some of our guests actually LEFT our wedding and brought back PIZZA!! So this is what you get when you spend thousands and hire people who claim to have 27 years of catering experience?? How embarrassing. Not to mention, you can expect a ridiculous delay in emails, expect to make numerous calls to get a hold of either Ruben or Fausto and prepare yourself for lots of confusion and unexpected menu changes without being notified or reimbursed. Hiring the BAD Elephant was a total waste of money and I would never recommend them to anybody!

We had our rehearsal dinner and welcome party at the barn the night before our wedding. Being from California, we wanted to have an "Aloha" theme to keep the vibe casual. Shannon worked closely with us to customize a menu and help us with decorations. She was so supportive and blew our minds with the creativity in the menu and drink options. She also partnered with us to work within our budget. Since we had to plan our wedding from across the country, communication with a lot of our vendors proved to be very tough. But NOT Shannon. She was quick to reply to all of our emails, and always put us in the best mood. In such a stressful process, we could always rely on Shannon and staff to make us feel at ease. And the food, WOW. Our 40 guests for dinner were raving over how amazing everything was. And after the dinner, we opened up the barn for about 100 people to come in for the "Welcome Party." At the welcome party, Shannon worked with us to customize cocktails and create a "California" themed taco station. Every single detail was delectable. Would highly recommend to anyone planning an event in Kennebunk/Kennebunkport. Would give more than 5 stars if we could. Can't wait to come back!
