Yes, the business has gone through some changes... They got rid of a really rude deli chic. They do not have independent vendors for each station. We are in post Covid times. It is possible that they are doing their best to stay open, so cut them some slack! Many are struggling and still many do not want to work! They are doing their best, I'd imagine, to keep open. The building is very low key with minimal signage and a regular solid entrance door. The place was redone and unrecognizable from its predecessor old school restaurant. There are new tables and chairs and an updated counter area. The patio area is currently closed. The menu offerings include a variety of bowls, sandwiches, most dishes with hummus and tahini, plus baked goods including gunion flatbread, sweet poppy seed bun, soomsoom bun, & cinna-babka. I stopped by Mana Kitchen over the weekend. I was greeted as I walked in and had an idea what I wanted to order since there's a framed menu posted by the outside front door. I ordered the Chucky Khan ($21 plus tax) without the tahini sauce (they substitute lemon juice). My food was ready to go in 5 minutes after ordering and paying. The Chucky Khan entree was an excellent choice! This dish had very tender slow roasted beef in a sweet spicy sauce, which had great flavors, served with coconut white rice topped with sesame seeds, red cabbage, and Jerusalem salad with diced marinated cucumbers, tomatoes, red onions, peppers & herbs. I thoroughly enjoyed this tasty dish!
