I love this shop and go her every time I visit Ogunquit. I was the only one in the shop this time,…read moreand the owner followed me around from room to room. Very awkward. I was wearing a backpack so maybe she thought I was going to steal? Perhaps she should just get cameras instead of making her shoppers so uncomfortable.

Unfortunately, I cannot give negative stars. We were visiting Ogunquit today. I was so impressed by…read morethis quaint town It is such a sweet and charming town. The people were so lovely that I was lulled into sense peaceful enjoyment...BUT, as I entered this store with my service dog, who is wearing her clearly marked service vest, the owner comes from around the corner. As she comes toward me, so does her aggressive dog. She looks at my dog and her service vest and says "she needs to wait outside, my dog is very aggressive and doesn't like other dogs...".I told that no, my dog can't "just wait outside, she needs stay with me". She looked expectantly at me, and I certainly do not want to be where I am not wanted. I said that my service dog and I can both outside, she said "yes, that would be best". I was stunned. Could I have made a big stink and told her what she was doing was against the law? Absolutely, and I will definitely do that when the person seems to truly be uneducated about the rights and responsibilities service dogs. This was definitely not that we were inconvenient to her in her store, and she wanted us out plain and simple. The owner was rude and dismissive. She is definitely not the embodiment of my experience in Olgunquit thankfully I wish this merchant education and enlightenment.

I wouldn't expect such a small theater to have Broadway shows, but it seems this had developed as…read morean important theater where many famous actors have performed. Because it's an older theater, their solution to a smaller parking lot is to have everyone park in a long row, and they make you pull up so that you're bumper to bumper. If the cars in front of you hustle to the parking lot, it's fine. If they don't, you're stuck until they show up as the cars park so close you can't even get out. I don't love that, but there is nowhere else around to park nearby. The lobby is pretty small and gets very crowded before the doors open. There are snacks and souvenirs for purchase. They don't have a bag check, so I brought my own water, which was great. The theater itself is small and cozy, so most seats will have a good view. I saw Come from Away and was definitely seated closer and more affordably than I could have been in a NYC venue. The performers were all very talented - this isn't just some locals who got on stage. The warned many, many times there was no intermission, and they wouldn't let you back in if you needed to use the restroom, which seemed a bit extreme. There were a lot of other good shows in the upcoming season, so if you are from nearby or staying in the area, it's worth checking out what's on stage. It's a good experience at a good price.

There's a huge carpet in the middle of the room (at least with the current setup) but I can see how artificial walls could easily be brought in to make even more wall space. Having said that, it would also be a great space for sculptures. The woman working at the desk seemed very friendly, though I did not take the opportunity to chat with her much. I do feel like it's a bit of shame it's in the middle of a strip mall next to Shaw's, but we can't all land primo real estate I guess. Having said that, it's a perfect opportunity to drop by once every couple weeks before/after your grocery shopping. I believe I will do this in the future!

If you want to see (mostly) Maine artists' work, well-hung and well-lit, Elizabeth Moss Galleries…read moreare the places to go. They are welcoming, not intimidating, and the Falmouth gallery has plenty of parking. The line up is always different at the Portland gallery than the Falmouth gallery. Both offer insights into Maine's artist community at the highest levels. Elizabeth is the right person to advise you on choosing art that works for you in your space-- office or home. Their framing services are top notch, but it's the art I go for. I make a point of visiting the galleries regularly. The shows change about once a month and even when I don't want to take any piece home, I do find the work intriguing.
