The five dollar parking fee is waived with this purchase when you reach the gate. #2. The fair contracts with a circus troupe with sixth generation acrobats. The MC was great, the hula hoop woman was astounding. Audience participation included young muscular men, all of whom had a sense of humor about the charade. #3. Just outside the big top we got water for $2. I don't want you to miss the memo--it is pretty hot and somewhat stuffy under the big circus top. Adjacent to the water stand we found a stage for magicians. The magician's opening act was much funnier than expected. #4. The demolition derby show lasts about three hours and is totally with the $10 admission if you have a youngster who is excited about such things. Last but not least. #5. As we departed our son had one last request, the bumper cars again. We found them but there was no one else in line, sad. Although I did not pay for a mega-pass the attendant let me drive one car with my husband and son in the other. That was a great way to end a wonderful day.

The food is pretty greasy and marginal, except for Hebert's $5 Lobster rolls. The circus is OK, but since it is included in the price...it's a deal. It's been there forever, and looks forlorn, so enjoy before it eventually ends its long run

My husband enjoyed his hot coffee, and we shared two sandwiches (so we could each taste both). We got the chicken panini, and the turkey maple on sourdough. Both were yummy! I especially thought the chicken was good because the meat was moist and thick. We also got desserts (because it was a family member's birthday and they love chocolate and pumpkin). And I never eat donuts but wanted to try the cider donuts. Yum! So light and delicious! I also got a bottle of the New Hampshire Squamscot root beer, and found it unique and refreshing. I would order it again, though I usually don't drink soda. This soda wasn't too bubbly, which is why I liked it.

What an absolutely delightful place!…read more Ambiance: Adorable. Farm store is well-stocked with fresh veggies and tons of tasty treats and tchotchkes. The outdoor areas have some seating right against the store and tons more in the beer garden area. Greenhouses. A whole kid play area with toys, sandboxes, swings. And live farm animals to visit and observe (cow, goats, geese, etc.) Super cute, lots to see, and fabulous for families. Service: Friendly and warm. Pretty sure it was the owner who took our orders in the cafe window. He was so sweet and struck up a conversation with us about whether we were visiting, local, etc. He noticed our baby and told us about their family nights with campfires and live music and kid games. The woman at checkout was also super nice when I bought a few store items. Food: GUYS. Simple but sooooo fresh and wonderful. We all loved it, even my picky MIL. We got coffee and breakfast sandwiches / wraps. It was a bit of a wait but we were happy to sit outside and chat and even happier when the food turned out to be so yummy. The bagels were soft inside but crispy outside (they grill them, not just toast. But not greasy!!) Eggs are local. Veggies are fresh. All made with care.

A great place to buy some good pottery at a fair price! The person we were staying with suggested…read morethis place to go as we were heading into Dover. This is the place to buy Salmon Falls pottery that we later saw way up in Maine as the selection is huge. They also have a seconds area to get some even better values. There are large pieces from bird baths to planters to small thimble sized pieces. We bought some to take home and probably would have bought more if it weren't for the fact that it was day one of our trip and we had limited ability to take purchases home. The staff were very helpful in making sure we found what we were looking for and answered all of our questions.

Fantastic for kitchenware (casserole dishes/bowls, spoon jars, salt/pepper shakers, mugs & plates, sponge holders, butter molds) and even flower pots and lamps! They have a "seconds" section for pieces that aren't absolutely perfect (a GREAT deal for someone looking for nice-without-the-price), as well as a "cracked" section (these items are a little more disheveled...but are still great for a fruit bowl or a spoon jar). Sign up on their email list for coupons (they're generally in-store only, but STILL so worth the 40-70% off!); remember: these are a piece of NH artisan beauty (not made in China crapolla - the price is there for the potters' time and dedication). The perfect rustic kitsch piece that will bring delight to your kitchen and home. Just remember to read the care and baking instructions (sometimes starting with a cold oven is best, and I always avoid the dishwasher with these items even if they are "dishwasher friendly").
