So this is my first time at this nail spa, and I don't really think I can recommend this place if you want really good looking nails. My sister and I entered and it was a tiny bit of an awkward conversation. I asked if they had time for walk-ins, which they did, so they immediately took my sister to do her nails and maybe 8 mins later took me in to do my pedicure. I basically sat there for 40-50mins just waiting for someone to show up. Eventually someone came to do my pedicure and my sister was already done with her nails at that point so she had to wait awhile in the lobby for me to finish. I enjoyed the chair and the little massage, I also liked the color I picked out (I wanted a dusty pink) but the paint job was not it. It was super rushed and the paint is outside the nail on almost every single one. I could probably put a pass on it since im pretty easy to please but my fingernails were just baaddd. They didn't push my cuticle right and the paint job on it is the wrong color and was applied badly. She was putting the layers on WAY too quickly before they had a chance to dry. Also a sparkle top made me look like a a 5 year old when I was going for my plain dusty pink look :( The thumbs are my fault, I opened up my wallet and it immediately wrecked the paint but then again the layers weren't dried properly so the top layer was dry but the bottom layers wouldn't dry since they were all put on very wet with no drying in between. I will give this place two stars since my sister liked her nails but sadly we wont be coming again. read more

I was so happy to find a place open during this time. I made an appointment online and when I arrived someone greeted me and instructed me to wash my hands before picking my color. I was seated right away and my water was perfect. I wasn't able to get the lady's name but she did a great job. I'd definitely come back again! read more

Walked in and it took a minute for them to acknowledge me. Didn't wait that long. I got a pedicure but did not get my cuticles pushed and only got sort of a clean up, she kept cleaning the extra polish with her finger nail instead of using acetone and small brush. Look alright but they have too much clientele and rush through the service. read more

The guy who did my nails did a terrible job .acrylics started to come off before even a week! Also done too thick. Will not recommend read more

STAY AWAY First time coming here. If I could give this place negative stars I would. Walked in for a dip manicure. Showed them a picture of a design they said they could do it. Go back, show my manicurist my picture and she agrees. Once she begins I can clearly see she isn't doing the nails correctly therefore I politely ask if she was doing the nails on the pictures, she says she is. She continues and I politely let her know I had wanted something different than what she was doing. I tell her again and she says ok and shoves a color book in my face. Im confused, I have never had to actually pick colors for the specific nails I wanted (french tip with a color tip), I politely say just a nude/pink will work. She says "no these are the only colors we have" and starts raising her voice. I say okay and ask what she could do on my nails. Instead of answering she grabs all of her things and walks away. I was upset and confused at this point and ask the individual at the front asks what I want to do. I ask if I could pay for what was done and leave, he tells me they already started and couldn't. I say ok, just do full color. The manicurist comes back and starts filing my nails very harshly. She ends up making me bleed and incredibly uncomfortable and does the full color, nothing like I had wanted. I honestly have NEVER experienced anything like this and I don't usually do reviews but I just had to this time. Don't waste your time or money. Do not come here. read more

Terrible customer service. I would not recommend this business to anyone in the area.

It'd be nice to be able to have a conversation with whomever is doing the service. I feel like I can't get what I want unless I have a picture but even then we get lost in translation. She did a fine job but it's a tad pricey for what you get. Is at least like to be offered a drink if I'm going to pay a little more. If it's complimentary upon request, then that should be expressed as it is a new business and we are. Or aware of that. read more

0 starts! DO NOT GO HERE!!! i went before and got a pedicure and one of the staff put an acrylic nail on my actual toe nail and I told her no. they rufused to take it off because it was "fresh" and a couple days earlier my whole toe nail fell off due to the application that was not supposed to be put on that way. MY fault I went back to give it another chance on NAILS and it was the worst experience ever. I had to write a Yelp review to warn others of the crappy job they do. Decided to try this place today, so glad I did!! Danny did a great job, he shaped the white powder himself instead of using a fake white tip. He and 3 other workers asked if I'd like something to drink. Ive gone 3 times, along with a friend of mine. What we came to realize is anyone who is stationed on the right side can do a decent job and anyone on the left doesnt do that great of a job. Twice i got the man who was stationed all the way back on the left side, the second experience better than the 1st and im ok if there are accidental knicks and stuff on the skin, my skin is sensitive, but whenever that guy in particular, my nails my cuticles were obviously left in terrible condition being burned and cut by the drill in several different spots. The one who did it on the right side one time was second to last in the far back of the row, and he was a little more social (which is nice) and was more gentle but he didnt do anything to try to make sure my nails were all the same length, as on my right pointer finger had popped up previously, it was noticeably bigger than the rest and completely rounded where the others werent a complete round shape. I went somewhere else yesterday and where i went i was treated way better, just a much more friendly experience but also they listened really well and my nails look far better than they ever did going to infinity. Ive been a licensed cosmetologist for going on 6 years, i focus on hair and dont do nails but i DO know what it looks and feels like to provide someone a service where they know theyre being taken care of. Also, something i have always stuck by is that if you provide anything less than a content social experience you will not be able to keep clientele, no one wants to go somewhere where the technicians dont know how to communicate on even a small level. If you provide a good social experience you will be more successful maintaining your clientele. Its a shame because i know this place hasnt been open that long and with a new business i would hope one would strive to make it the best they can be, but a lot of the employees here dont really seem to want to be the best they can be. read more

Won't be returning after giving this place a couple chances they always disappoint, they're also expensive and their work isn't the best. I'd like to give them more stars, as Calvin is great. I never have a problem with him. But I booked an appointment for 9:30 am with "any staff member" and it's now 10:30 am and I'm still waiting and about to get up and leave. There are literally no other employees here except people who do pedicure. The receptionist says that everyone is always late which makes me wonder why they book for 9:30 if that's the case. It's been a waste of time being here. If this was any other job, employees would be reprimanded. Get it together! read more

Literally trash and over priced, one of the guys named John, that was constantly on his phone and wearing AirPods was complaining about doing my mothers nails because "they're a lot of work". Just seemed too rushed and wanted to go back on his phone. Wouldn't recommend him for acrylics at all. The pedicure is over priced and the lady hurt my toes :( read more

If I could leave zero stars, I would! I went in today to get a manicure with French tip. I had acrylics prior and I told the lady, Tracy, to file down the acrylics so you wouldn't be able to see them. You obviously could still see them through the clear polish. She was rude and kept yelling in her language when I told her that you could still see the acrylic. She called the front desk lady over and she was kind and just suggested that we put another coat on top which did nothing. I paid for a manicure service that included a massage and Tracy just put lotion on my arms and gave me the tag to go pay. I asked her if that was it and she just looked at me and said yeah and then completely ignored me. So much attitude!!!! If you hate your job, just stay home honestly. I will never be coming back here and I suggest you guys go somewhere else. She also messed up the tip on one of my fingers and didn't even want to fix it, she was just trying to get me out even though they were not busy and had a lot of time to take care of my nails. read more

They do a good job for pedicures, but I went to get an acrylic fill and the man doing the job ripped all my nails off (instead of filing them) which resulted in my real nails splitting and bleeding. He then proceeded to file the sides of nails but filed my skin so hard I now have a deep bleeding cut from it. My hands are in excruciating pain, I would not recommend this place for a manicure but a pedicure maybe. read more

i have been a client for awhile i've always gone to Calvin and never had a bad experience whenever i walked in they always had me go to straight to him (Calvin), which i appreciated it. he's always dealt with my random designs. well today was not the day for him. i asked for a black and white design. one hand black , one hand white. i asked for a smiley face on index (pointer) finger and i flames on my middle finger he said he couldn't do that which i accommodated and said we can do a french tip on my middle finger instead he said okay. he started painting my whole hand black and i tried to stop him before it got to late and tell him i wanted a french tip he told me he wasn't done yet so i let him continue. i then saw him putting clear coat on after some time and which i thought was odd since my whole hand was black ; and my middle finger wasn't a french tip. so i tried to stop him again to let him know it wasn't right and he said he wasn't done so i let him be again... he then painted my left hand completely white and i wasn't sure if he didn't understand me so i tried to get my phone out to show him the picture he told me i was messing up my hand and i explained that i wanted to show him the picture again and he said he got it , he remembers and so then i figured he might have so technic i have never see that he was gonna somehow take that polish off and no i was wrong.... he asked what finger i wanted the smiley face on i said my pointer and i even wiggled it and then he asked what finger did i want the french on again and i wiggled my middle finger. well he definitely didn't understand me he put a white french tip on top of my black painted nail on my pointer finger and then a smiley face on my middle finger and wanted me to stick it under the UV light at that point i stopped him. i said this wasn't what i asked for i had grabbed my phone to show the picture and he snapped an attitude and sighed and told me that's what i asked for, his demeanor and attitude completely changed. he asked me if this was my first time here , and i stated no you do my nails and he said no he doesn't and i was like i always come for you and i told him that i didn't appreciate his tone with me that i was simply trying to get what i asked for and he then took my paint off, and was making comments wrote my ticket and laid it on the counter. then started painting them black once i saw him painting my middle finger completely black again i knew he was done and wasn't going to help me anymore. once he finished with clear coat he told me to get up. i asked if there was someone else to do my nails and he ignored me and walked away then i had a pedicure right after and the front desk lady asked if this other gentleman if he could do my nail and fix them to how i wanted and he said no that he didn't know how to paint even though he had just painted my toes.. at this point i felt completely uncomfortable. i went to pay and the lady that knew about the whole experience did say anything to me and charged me full price for something i didn't even want i walked out with nails i didn't want, got treated terribly and i am completely unsatisfied with this experience and i've never ever experienced anything like this before especially there before. read more

Did an ok job. The place was very clean and modern. I came here based on a recommendation. I asked for dip acrylics, two colors. Acrylic is uneven and I have a thumb that is bumpy. My last color was red and new was white and I'm still seeing red on my pinky. $45 this job was ridiculous. I'll stick to my regular place for $35 (multiple colors) out the door. read more

If I could give 0 Stars I would. This place is ridiculous. I went to get my acrylics removed and I was told that it will be 10$ to remove them. While getting my nails removed they hurt me very bad and my nail started bleeding. She took them off with an acrylic nail and not the usual way by soaking them in acetone and polishing them off. So she got another guy and he put them in acetone and polished them off. When checking out I asked for a discount or something but the worker was super rude and was not professional at all! It was my first and last time going there! He told me how soaking them costs extra 5$ so he gave me a "discount" when at the begging when I had walked in he didn't mention two different services for taking them off. read more

Now I understand why everyone considers this place the joke of the town. Fancy name and ghetto as hell service lol. Just left with the ugliest nails I've ever purchased to be told that "there are plenty of other places in Turlock to go to". Lol. You're very right sir. And im sure none of the other salons will be having a full on employee lunch in the lobby. Im talking buffalo wings with a whole spread of food. On the front counter. Where people go pay. LOL. The guy in the front likes to talk real stern for someone who gawks at the adolescent clients who he purposely sits away from their mothers which is blatant when you see him pacing back and forth behind these girls. My nails tech Mimi cut almost each nail bed and kept pushing my cuticle back with her own dirty nail so I had to pull back my hand and do it myself. Then she leaves a piece of acrylic hanging off my thumb cuticle and takes a drill to it then when that didn't work she started to file it. Until I told her it was fine and I'd take it off with tweezers at home. She was watching tv the whole time with her two coworkers that wouldn't stop talking to her. After all that the bill was $70 when last time it was $45 for the same type of fill. The money isn't the issue. I know longer nails can cost extra. I've always been fine with that. I even understand prices on everything have increased due to inflation and I'm fine with that as well. But I'm not fine with getting treated like crap in a place that GHETTO and pay a $25 increase without any communication. Sad that the front desk guy seems so angry too. But I'm also thinking he may not be all there either. He walks around talking to himself and the other woman that work there seem to shutter in despair when he speaks or walks by creepily. read more

I went this week with my sister. She was seated for her manicure. 15 minutes after arriving even though we waited 25 minutes prior to arriving because that's when they said we were going to be served. My sister got an entire acrylic set and I still hadn't been seated for my pedicure. No one even asked me when leaving if I was helped or not. I never even got a pedicure after waiting over an hour. Pathetic. Not to mention when I walked in there's five men sitting in the front drinking beer playing a game. To top it off they charge my sister $62 for short solid, acrylic nails. And had the nerve to ask if she wanted to tip at the end. I do not recommend this place. Very unorganized and beyond over priced. read more

The service that I just received at this salon was horrible. when complaining about my nails missing color on the sides of them and getting charged $45 for short one color nails I got told "were kinda pricey" like I've paid 45+ for nails and believe me when the work is worth it you'll pay whatever for quality. She also didn't clean up my cuticle or buff the edges so consider these nails lifting day one. Don't waste your time here is all I'm saying. I am so incredibly disappointed with my service. I made an appointment for 5:30PM for a regular manicure/pedicure and a full set for my friend. They told us that her full set wouldn't get done because they didn't have time, even though I made an appointment four hours earlier. They finally said it was okay and we could receive the services we booked. They sat me in the chair with my feet in the water. No one talked to me for over an hour. The water was cold and my feet were pruned. Finally, my pedicure starts and it was mediocre. I got several cuts, but it's fine. It was 6:58 when my pedicure was finished and they closed at 7. They rush me over to get my manicure (a 20 minute service that was condensed into 7 minutes). They had me pay for my services before I had the final product and the nail tech had me leave with fully wet nails. They didn't even last until I got to the parking lot. They were RUINED. my friend's acrylic nails are lumpy and she has black all over her fingers that won't come off. She was also charged for gel when she asked for polish, as well as added charges for filing of her nails. Over priced and unprofessional. The front desk girl was literally drinking a beer when I went to pay. What even is that lol. read more

The multiple times I have gone here the staff have been rude and seemed like they didn't care whether I liked what I got or not. They are rough when doing acrylics and they cut my skin multiple times while repairing it with glue?? Also, the last time I got my nails done, my nail tech ignored what I wanted and did her own thing because she could not do the design that I had asked for, and was texting and calling when doing my nails. They are also extremely overpriced and did not care to please their clients. I have given this spa multiple tries as it was my go to place but I 100% do not recommend. read more

My experience was just OKAY. I thought the service was overpriced for what I got. $45 for an acrylic + gel full set is fine, but the guy didn't push my cuticles back, didn't do literally anything besides just put the nails on. Most other salons at least trim/push back cuticles and hangnails... I got them done yesterday and it already looks like my nails are growing out because he didn't touch my cuticles. Also, I kept telling him I wanted my nails rounder/shorter to resemble a natural nail and he wouldn't do it. I ended up having to file them at home because I wasn't happy with the shape. Also, he was pretty careless when glueing them on and one is already lifting. I could tell it wasn't glued well before he even put the color on, and he ignored it. Overall I just felt like I was a burden to him. I would say you get what you paid for, but in this case I paid way too much for a very mediocre set of nails. Oh well. I would go back because the place is clean, but I definitely won't let him do them again. read more
