That happened, so I returned and he quickly fixed it again. Unfortunately, I made a bad TV choice and the issue stuck no matter what. He advised me not keep trying as it wasn't worthwhile financially. However, he offered me a credit for one of the used TVs he was selling, which was a great deal. In short, he has the expertise to fix what can be fixed, and the caring to take care of you (not just try to rack up a bill for himself). Very fair, friendly and helpful.

    I brought my amp to this guy. The only thing wrong with it was 1 speaker jack was not working. The…read moreday I brought it to him I had been using it that morning and all the sound was working loudly. He fixed the jack but then told me it don't get loud when pumping up the volume. He did something and messed it up and dared to ask more money in the line of 200. 00 on top of the money he took already. I also gave him my cd player that the belt broke. He replaced the belt then told me the machine had to be re-calibrated and it was a pain in the butt so he wanted another 185.00. So what this guy did was charge me diagnostics charges despite me telling him what exactly was wrong and he confirmed I was correct. I left the cd player there believing it was not worth additional repairs. It was a sony cd player that stored 300. A month later I called sony and told them about this and they told me no such thing needed be done just because the belt broke. I found out that my CD player actually was worth 1200.00 as a classic being sold on amazon and that was what led me to call sony. I found out that he shorted out the pre-amp on my amp when he took it apart.

I'm old school, you find a place to fix what's broken, you drop the item off, you get a call when done, you pick it up and pay. Techie Town might use some business software to manage the business, to get my repair done, I received 32 emails from Techie Town and about 9 text messages, also 13 emails from yelp. Most recently I got myself into a real jam... Four days before I had a meeting with my attorney who is managing my law suit against a local contractor who has done considerable damage to my large Victorian home by using substandard building materials while making repairs for which he did not have knowledge or know how to complete, I decided to upgrade my computer to Windows 10... BAD MOVE ON MY PART. After trying for two days and staying up all one night to recover documents and pictures I absolutely needed for a meeting with my attorney the following afternoon, I called Paul at PM Computer in Woonsocket first thing that morning. Without fan fair and while keeping me calm throughout, Paul was able to recover the vital documents I needed for that afternoon meeting. He continued to work on my computer while I was away at the meeting and then got "back in" my computer the following day to get rid of any trash and/or malware, viruses, etc. as well as tweak all else to perfection! All completed for a reasonable price, too. The point here: DO NO INSTALL NEW SOFTWARE WHEN DOING IMPORTANT WORK. The overriding lesson learned here: Call Paul at PM Computer in Woonsocket, RI.     Dryer suddenly stopped working and the dirty laundry (especially with a toddler) began piling up…read more Thankfully I came across Superior Appliance and Pavel. Pavel picked up on the first call and just happened to be in the area, and was able to stop by. He began his diagnostics and eventually found the issue, which was not one of the common ones for dryers to stop working. Thankfully he had everything he needed in his truck and was able to fix everything the same day. Pavel explained everything he was doing step by step and charged a reasonable price.     Unfortunately, my experience was not as good as others who have reported…read more Although very quick to respond to my call for service, I found Superior Appliance to be very inadequate to properly repair Maytag washers; surprisingly, they are Maytag's recommended repair service. The technician repaired my machine quickly, but apparently poorly, as the part that he replaced (at 3x the part cost from Maytag) failed again in 90 days. After replacing this part for second time and adding another repair part (for additional cost), this second-time replacement part failed again with 45 days. Having spent almost the cost of a new machine just in repair parts and installation, I finally called it quits and bought a non-Maytag machine. I doubt that I will ever call upon Superior Appliance again for any appliance repair (my tough luck, I guess, for choosing them at Maytag's recommendation).
