We struck up a conversation and I learned that it was AJ, the store manager. I was so impressed that the manager was out walking around, not tucked in an office, not taking the day off (it is Sunday, afterall). I've shopped at this store for years and, while I've never had an issue, I've never had such a great experience. It seems small, but to interact with someone on the floor, then to run into them 30 minutes later and they ask if I found what I needed, THEN to strike up a conversation with me, THEN to learn it's the store manager - just hands-down amazing. I have noticed at peak times They may only have one or two people on the registers and they expect everyone to do self check out. When you have a full cart, that is really cumbersome Also, the last time I did self, There was one woman walking around the self check out area, assumedly to help people. She watched us do my entire check out, and then I got home and realized there were sensor tags on several of the items. Why did she not notify me or check the clothing ? I had to make another trip all the way back to the store. Also, we hate the fact that when we want to buy a Lego set, or even just look at one, we have to hit a button to page and associate, because they are all locked up. Finally, when someone does show, they seem irritated to have to be there and my son and I felt rushed picking out a set for his birthday.
