I've purchased five suits, a sport coat, six shirts, and eight pairs of pants from here and as the saying goes, "you get what you pay for." There are several approaches a person can take when it comes to building a wardrobe. One is to pay a premium for high quality garments that will last. Another is to buy cheap, wear it 'til it frays or fades, toss it, and repeat. On a spectrum of "quality," the former is Banana Republic and the latter, Old Navy. But since this is Chicago, a more apropos analogy might be the difference between a visit to Weiner's Circle and a meal at Chicago Cut. If you want good food and service, the choice is obvious. Similarly, Indochino is the Old Navy/Weiner's Circle of suiting, so long as you don't expect much, you'll be satisfied. There are reasons why Indochino's suits are inexpensive, some of which are: (1) below-average materials and construction; (2) made in china; (3) (for in-store fittings) the delivered garments are not truly made-to-measure (merely based off of in-store sizes from which they take the differences in measurements); (4) the showroom staff, while mostly courteous, can come across as pretentious and have made careless mistakes resulting in additional visits (example below); and (5) poor online customer service. I recently brought in five pairs of pants to be altered. I had a garment fitting appointment during my lunch break. At first I was pleased by how quickly I was in and out but when I received the pants back, I found that the Indochino employee (who shall remain nameless since this isn't meant to be personal) reversed the measurements. Instead of shortening the pant leg, they were lengthened! All because of his (or her) carelessness. I started using Indochino for my "disposable" suiting needs but it's not worth the trouble. I'd rather pay a premium for better service and garments. For mid-tier suits I recommend Knot Standard or Suit Supply and at the high-end, the made-to-measure service at Tom Ford and Daniel George are smart choices. For made-to-measure dress shirts, Proper Cloth is a great option. Best of luck! UPDATE (about 3 hours after initially posting this review): Just wanted to point out that Indochino's response to this post was about 2 hours whereas their customer service department took 48 hours to respond. Perhaps Indochino should place the same emphasis on its customer service and product execution as it places on curating it's social media presence. read more

I went back and forth with Indochino on my wedding tux from Nov 2017 to May 2018. Went to the Chicago showroom to get measured because I wanted to make sure it was 100% correct. Lady completely messes it up - inverted her sleeve measurements so they were lengthened instead of shortened and picked the wrong jacket cut (I've sense learned that they base their tailoring on one of a number of preset jacket cuts based on body type, basically modifying the cut of that jacket to fit your body. Tux arrived and fit like a trashbag through the torso while at the same time too small in the shoulders. It was like they used someone else's measurements (they didn't, I had them check). Went back in to the showroom for an adjustment. Got berated by the associate for choosing functional buttonholes. To fix the long sleeves that they had to remake the jacket, and he acted like that was MY fault. He also pinned the jacket up and made some modifications to the fit around the chest/torso to make it fit better. Second jacket arrives and fits like garbage too. Sleeves fine, but still way wonky through the chest/torso. I went into the showroom a third time to get the new jacket adjusted, they pin it up, and send it to their tailor. Couple weeks later the jacket comes back from the tailor and I go in to try it on. Jacket fits exactly the same. Turns out their "professional" tailor just lost track of things and marked the jacket as done without actually making the alterations. No biggie - mistakes happen. They pin it up again, and send it to their "good" tailor to make sure it gets done right. Jacket comes back form the tailor again after a week or so, and I go back in for a FIFTH time. Jacket still fits like garbage in the shoulders/torso and it's determined it can't be let out any further in the shoulders/chest where it needs to be. It's only then that they realize the lady who fitted me initially used the completely wrong "base" jacket for my body type, and that the fit issues really stem back to that. Back to the drawing board. They pin me up on the correct base jacket this time, and submit it for a rush remake. I received my third jacket a week ago, and while it fits better in the torso and shoulders, it still needs some significant tweaks. I'm going in for alterations for the sixth, and hopefully final time tonight. I don't have an odd body shape at all (5"10"/160lbs). Most off the rack 38R suits fit me just fine. I thought I'd go out on a limb and splurge on something somewhat custom for my wedding, and it's turned into a total waste of time. I'd be completely screwed if I didn't live near a showroom so they could fix their own mistakes. To their credit, they've done everything needed to make it right - its just been an absurd process. Alex, the assistant manager at the Chicago store, has been very helpful. I appreciate their efforts, but given the inconvenience as compared to buying off the rack and having my tailor make a few tweaks, I'm not sure I'll use indochino again. The five stars is 100% because of Michael's exceptional customer service. His remeasurements (after my own) made the tux. An order for a shirt was expedited and the shipping time cut in half to make it in time for my wedding. It was such a huge help to have a trustworthy guide in the process of getting a tailored tux. read more

Stay away, total waist of money. I ordered three shirts. They say its cotton, I swear its polyester (looks and feels). The onsite tailor is a joke. Its as if a child did the work. I'm going to end up donating them to charity for a tax write-off and get something back for my huge waist of time and money. read more

I had / have high hopes for Indochino and time will tell. After my first visit and fitting to Indochino I purchased two suits. Upon receiving my suits in roughly 3 weeks (which is good in my opinion) I tried to the pants and they were ok, not great, but ok. The jackets on the other hand looked like they were made for a totally different person. From the lenth of the jacket, sleeves, shoulders and chest, everything was far to small. It almost looked like it was made for a completely different person. I took my ill fitting suits back to Indochino and worked with Steve (different person from above) who confirmed that the suit was nowhere near where it needed to be, nor acceptable. Steve gave me more confidence in his re-fitting and measuring than the person above. He was knowledgeable, professional and easy to work with. I'd estimate in 3-4 weeks I'll have two new suits made (the old ones were left at the Indochino store) to have fit and feedback on. If the suits come back "fitting" and needing minor adjustments, I'll be totally happy and able to confirm the original person fitting me was the error. If the suits come back again far from being correct, I'll learn it's a combination of problems and therefore I will go somewhere else for my suit needs. If the suits come back acceptable, I'd definitely revise my above 3 stars with a 4+. read more

Bought my custom made tuxedo here for my wedding and it fits like a glove! Not only is this my third suit purchased from indochino but I plan on buying more of my wardrobe here. Shout out to Jonelle! My advice: skip the store and do the measuring yourself. The people who work in-store do not seem to be competent and are certainly not interested in customer service whatsoever. We came to the Chicago showroom twice so far, and will not be returning. We received the suit we ordered in a couple of weeks--and while the jacket and shirt fit great, the pants were a hot mess. The associate who fit my fiance never returned the email we sent him. When I called the store the person who answered the phone told me there wasn't appointment availability (there was) and had a "nothing I can/will do about it" attitude. So I called the customer service number and that person set us up with an appointment in the showroom for the day and time I requested. FYI we were the only customers in the store when we were there for this appointment. We drove in from out-of-town, under the impression that these pants would be re-made, as they were so ill-fitting I can't imagine they could adjust them to fit properly. Once we got there, the person treated the appointment as an alteration, assuring me they could be fixed (sorry, don't believe that) and then also charged us another $20 fee to have them shipped home to us. When I challenged her on that fee, more of the "nothing I can/will do about it" attitude. Unacceptable. My hope is that we can get a pair of pants that fit well enough so we can be done with this mess. read more

Came into the Walton location for a suit measurement and was greeted by Michael. Michael was fantastic throughout the whole process. This suit was my first real suit and I was relatively sure of what kind of styles I was interested in before I arrived. Michael was a great help, he recognized that I knew what I wanted and was able to collaborate with me to find the fabric and fit that I wanted. Michael was extremely knowledgeable and gave amazing service the whole time. This was my first suit fitting and because of the top-notch service and attention to detail provided by Michael I am sure any future suits I will buy will come from Indochino. read more

I had come in for a custom suit in March, and when I received the suit I was unable to get a few adjustments due to Covid. Finally in June I brought it in and Michael helped me with all of my measurements and was very knowledgeable and friendly. A few weeks had passed and I called in to see the status of my suit. Unfortunately I did not receive a call about their store being looted but when I spoke to Michael he was able to help me right away. Since all my measurements were in the system he apologized that I did not receive a call from corporate but he assured me he could help. Michael rush ordered me a new suit and in under 2 weeks my suit will be delivered today. I can't thank Michael enough for his professionalism and speedy turn around. read more

An absolute nightmare. Negative stars needed. Without question the worst vendor I have had to deal with during my entire wedding process. Unprofessional would be kind. I had intentions of getting suits for myself, 11 groomsmen, father and father in law and they really blew it. 'You know how to take the reservation, you just don't know how to KEEP the reservation'. At minimum we were looking at a suit order of 13, knowing a few of my guys were going to order multiples. After taking over an hour to get all of the information into their site, at their store and making the appointment 3 months prior. Fast forward to yesterday, 3 days before or appointment, the 'store manger' said they would not be able to accommodate us, And I needed to reschedule a group of 8. As if it wasn't nearly impossible to get 8 new dads to get a Sunday early afternoon free. Customer service couldn't help, nobody could help. Customer service said their bosses can't help me, but could return my call with 2 business days, which would at the point be after the appointments they failed to be able to meet. Not to mention the turn over at these stores must be awful because every time you go in their your dealing with another new person who's got no idea what's going on. Either that or they are just sick of working for such an incompetent group. read more

Best man's suit got stolen from the store and wasn't notified until 3 weeks after the fact - a week before the wedding. The store was then completely unwilling to assist in anyway, from ensuring a rushed shipment would get here in time or shopping out for similar suits at other stores. They were even unwilling/unable to send the call to a corporate level. Despicable and shameful customer service. Do not shop here. read more

Would NOT recommend ever going to Indochino. I had heard positive reviews from people that I follow online so i told my fiance he should go there for his wedding suit. After his initial appointment, he told me he felt like the woman working there did not measure him correctly. After 3 weeks, the suit arrived from China and it was a MESS. But, they say you need to come in for at least one adjustment, so we went in together and gave very clear direction. It took another 2 weeks for the next round to come and although it was better, it wasn't great. We had to follow up to even find out when that version was arriving in the store, they didnt call us. We went in a third time and when we got there, they told us no tailor was working, but they wanted a tailor to look at it. We had to go back the next day (mind you this is 10 days before our wedding) and met with a tailor. They would not commit to a date that the suit would be ready. For context, we went to Nordstrom and found an off the rack suit that fit better (just needed to be hemmed) and was better quality for almost the same price. He had to go back a fifth time. Although the suit ended up OK, it was a huge hassle, the fabric quality is disappointing and we were scrambling days before our wedding. Tailors should be involved in the process earlier or always in store for situations like this. read more

Richard was very helpful. He took time to make sure measurements were perfect and was communicative regarding the reasons why we should fit the suit in certain ways. Plus, I got a great deal where I got a suit, shirt, tie, and pocket square with my purchase. *update: 1 year later and this suit has completely fallen apart and is full of holes. Can't urge people enough not to use Indochino.... Waited a couple months of wearing my suit before writing a review. The Chicago location on Michigan Avenue has a huge customer service problem, when I was measured for a suit the associate was not asking any questions about how I wanted it to fit- just pinned the model suit and made notes. I had to interrupt her so she would ask me how I wanted it to fit. When the suit eventually came in it was absolutely massive and was most likely not altered at all. Waist in the pants was easily 4 inches too big. I then had to wait two weeks for an appointment to get it fixed, which was ridiculous because the store was almost always empty when I went. I spoke to (who I think was) a manager and told him about the suit I received and he stared at me without offering any explanation or apology and just typed in his computer and had another associate measure me to get it altered a second time. The suit never fit the way I wanted it to and after a couple months it is already falling apart. My advice is save your money and buy from a menswear store who knows what they are doing. I can't imagine how people trust Indochino with their wedding party. read more

I was hesistant to proceed with my suit purchase as the staff, although nice, did not seem to understand basic menswear terms. My salesperson had just started working a couple of months ago and seemed to have never worked in men's clothing before. I ordered my suit because it was super cheap and I was curious how it would turn out. Well, as the saying goes, you get what you pay for. The fit was not terrible, but the fabric was. It was a polyester and wool blend coming from China. The suit itself felt rough and scratchy and it was noisy whenever I moved in it. The suit was delivered directly to my door from Delian China, in which I was then instructed that I have 10 days upon receiving the suit to make any alterations. It seemed that fittings were discouraged. There are no refunds either for unsatisfying garments. The suit jacket had large shoulder pads in it giving me the boxy look I was hoping to avoid. The fit of the front of the coat was also a little weird to me. It was not awful, but just not what I was expecting with custom garments. The suit was better than something I would have found at a Men's Wearhouse, but it certainly did not seem very custom whatsoever. It is an acceptable option for a beginner suit or cheap wedding suit, and definitely better than a rental. read more

Pretty disappointed. I went into the store on Michigan ave and some girl spent about 60 minutes taking my measurements. I was super excited, because in the past when I have ordered custom suits, they only spend about 10-15 minutes- so I was under the impression this was going to fit great. Well, proceeded to order thousands of dollars worth of suits shirts and pants online and the following day they said they would be delivered with 3 weeks. Today was three weeks to the date and they were delivered! Except when I went to try everything on NOT ONE THING FIT! And I am not talking off by a few centimeters - they were off by 3-5 inches!! Now apparently I have to wait one more week to get back into the store to get re - measured (hopefully not by the same girl) and then they said it would be ANOTHER 3 weeks until I will receive the re made clothes!! Do yourself a favor and pick another clothier. This one is NOT worth your time. Now I need to figure out what to do with 3k of clothes that DONT FIT! read more

Unfortunately my bad luck with Indochino continues. This is the second suit I've received from them that was far below par in terms of cut and customer service. This time, the suit was (and still is) too big, and came with tan instead of black buttons (Michigan Ave Location). After 3 weeks of them having it for alterations from their initial errors (Armitage Location), I went in to pick up the suit and the wrong color buttons were still on it. So I gave it back to them before even trying it on to get the buttons switched out as the wedding that I'm in is this Saturday. Go to pick up the suit and they only switched out the buttons on the jacket, they didn't switch them out on the pants. This was also the first time that I tried the jacket on again, which was still a poor cut. The tailor even agreed that it should be improved but they now don't have time to fix the issues. I went in for the fitting two months before the wedding and they still couldn't get me even a decent fitting suit. This was supposed to be the suit I wore for my wedding in September as well but my fiance and I agree that it's just too poor of quality and cut. Do yourself a favor, go get something that is a close fit off of the rack and take it to a REAL tailor. That's what I'll be doing for my wedding.There's just too much variation in the staff they hire and their attention to detail. You'll save money and have a better suit. read more

My overall experience at this location could not have been better and my sales associate, Alex Rivera was amazing. After getting to know my style Alex was able to quickly hone in on fabrics and design styles that he knew would fit my taste. His knowledge on fabrics and designs and attention to detail was extremely helpful. From cut of the pant to the lining in the jacket and style lapel he gave great direction and advice. When my custom designed suit finally arrived it fit like a glove! If you are looking for a wide variety of choices in a custom tailored suit at a very affordable price, I highly recommend Indochino.....make sure you ask for Alex! read more

Read this before you buy from Indochino!! Waste of time and money. Purchased a suit while in Las Vegas. When it was delivered to my home in Michigan, the fit was so awful that it looked like a child trying on his dad's suit. Way off. Shirt was way too big. Coat to suit was 2 sizes too big. And one pant leg was longer than the other. Our family seamstress recommended that I take it to Indochino as the fit was so far off. When I took it to the Michigan Ave. store (3 hour drive one way), the sales associates were trying to talk me into a fit that I was certain I wouldn't like. I mentioned that I didn't want to take a whole day to come back. IT WAS THEN THAT I WAS TOLD THAT I WOULD HAVE TO COME BACK TO PICK UP THE RE-TAILORED GARMENTS ANYWAY. THEY WOULD NOT MAIL TO ME!!! IS is 1959 or 2019 for gosh sake??? Gonna just give it to goodwill. Out $600 and a days worth of time. Buyer beware!!! read more

This is a review of Indochino process and company, not the store associates who I actually found reasonably helpful. I know better than to purchase Indochino suits for daily wear to work, as I have had many people comment on their cheap quality and craftsmanship. However I have used them for blazers that I only occasionally wear to less professional settings. I ordered my first blazer using my jacket measurements, which came in just about perfect from a fit perspective. Again the fabric and construction is extremely cheap, but you get what you pay for on that. The second time I went to order a blazer I chose working button holes on the jacket sleeves assuming if I ordered the same size jacket it would come in the same. That was not the case, and the sleeves came in a full inch short. I set an appointment to have to suit adjusted for a Sunday and when I arrived there was a note on the door saying the shop was closed. Pretty annoying to not get notice since they take your contact information when you sent the appointment. I set a new appointment and went in for alterations. I was informed they wouldn't redo the suit, and would only add the length to the end of the sleeves after the buttons. This obviously makes the suit unwearable as the buttons would then be on the middle of the forearm of the jacket. They made a mistake by cutting the jacket too short when all the had to do was replicate an existing jacket they had already made, and there idea of a resolution was to make the jacket unwearable. It's tough to patronize a business that operates that way, and gamble on if your suit will be wearable in the end. read more
