Had my tuxedo and custom suit for my wedding made here and they did a phenomenal job! I couldn't be happier with my items and the compliments were many! Thanks, Daniel and crew! You helped to make my day a very memorable one!

This is probably long overdue, but I wanted to shed some light on the incredible service, super high quality material, and incredible attention to detail that DG and his staff put into their work. For my wedding day,I went to a few tailors to see if they could help me get a sweet wedding suit, nothing really excited me. When I stumbled on DG I initially thought it would be out of my price range, but when I sat and discussed with Daniel, he was super understanding and we made it work. I still own the suit and wear it to conferences, weddings, and other formal occasions. When I lost some weight after the wedding, I went back to get my suit tailored, he asked no questions and the service was amazing. I also purchased some shirts for work, and I can confidently say I've worn those shirts more times than any other shirt I've ever bought, and they still look incredibly good. Overall, I'd highly recommend Daniel George for any professional clothing requirements. His style and clothing will make you feel like a new man.

Daniel George is simply the best. For my wedding, my wife and I decided that a suit would be the best option. I chose Daniel George based on a recommendation from a work colleague and I'm very glad I did. From the first consultation, to the last fitting, Daniel and his team made me feel and more importantly, look like a superstar. I will be going back for all my my suiting needs.

I visited Daniel George while I was shopping for my wedding suit, and boy am I happy I found him/them! As someone who had recently graduated college I was feeling intimidated by the idea of a bespoke suit, thinking I likely didn't "fit" or "belong" in this world or echelon of society. EVERYONE made me feel so welcome from the moment I stepped into their amazing space that those feelings were gone immediately. The first thing that struck me was that it was Daniel himself who took the time to meet me, learn about me, and most importantly joke with me and put me at ease. You can tell that everyone at Daniel George loves what they do, and it shows in quality of garments they produce. My "wedding suit" has morphed into my go to "everything" suit! Other weddings, check. Job interviews, check. Board meetings, check. I tell any future groom there are two things I recommend to NOT skimp on: their wedding ring (yes, men can have fun and unique rings, too!) and their wedding suit. Then, I recommend ALL GROOMS to Daniel George. The last thing I will say about Daniel George is that their continued customer service never ceases to amaze me. I am able to reach out to get my garment measurements whenever I need if another groom is forcing me to rent, I can bring anything back to them for adjustments and re-sizing, etc. I've come to learn that a bespoke suit is like a tattoo, once you get one you have the non-stop itch to get your next one. Once you look, and more importantly, FEEL as good as you do in one of these suits you're constantly checking the website for their new arrivals and thinking of occasions you can use to justify a new suit to your partner.

Daniel George is the bespoke men's clothier I didn't even know I needed. After looking online and at the major stores for a suit/tux for my wedding, I was feeling morose about the state of mainstream men's fashion. Service was terrible, fabrics felt cheap, and the clothes never fit well. Most places seemed more excited about selling you two crappy suits for as cheap as possible instead of making you look amazing in one perfect suit. No sense of love, care, or craftsmanship in making clothes for men. When a coworker randomly recommended Daniel George, I immediately dismissed any notion of a bespoke suit as something only the superrich could afford, but I was surprised to find on his website that he offered packages that were by no means out of reach. Even more surprising was that I could actually meet with Daniel himself. I was skeptical, but I scheduled an appointment. Boy am I happy I did. The entire experience, from start to end, was phenomenal -- customer service like out of a movie from some golden age of customer service where people were treated as human beings, not material consumers. Daniel was knowledgeable, funny, smart, accommodating, flexible, attentive to detail, and clearly ran a tight ship. He had a wonderful staff of several friendly, smart, and responsive assistants as well as on-site tailors who were willing to get creative when challenged. Case in point: I wanted to surprise my fiance by putting our homespun "family crest" on the inside of my suit jacket. Daniel's team was game. They jumped into action and researched and experimented with how they might translate my Adobe Illustrator file into a fabric reality. The result was great, and such a lovely detail with which to surprise my newly wed wife. I ended up having three or four in-person meetings with Daniel and his team, all just to make sure every detail about the suit was as perfect as it could be. And when I was struggling to figure out what kind of ties to get for my groomsmen, Daniel worked with me to provide matching blue ties at a price within my budget. It all paid off in the end. I can't tell you how comfortable, confident, and handsome it made me feel to wear such a gorgeous, and perfectly fitting outfit on my very special day. So many people came up to me afterwards to compliment me on the suit, and also how well it complemented my wife's dress. The attached pictures I think really capture just what a stunning shade of blue it was, and all the detail in the fabric. Even just the little things -- like Daniel knowing to use an off-white ivory shade instead of a pure white for the shirt -- made such a difference in the end. To be fair, you will spend more at Daniel George than you would online or at the big boxes, but you will be glad that you did. If you are getting married, think of this not as another expense in a painfully long list of wedding expenses but as an investment in looking as handsome as possible on your big day. Think of it as a gesture of respect toward the person you are about to marry, who, in all likelihood, is spending as much if not more on a dress. Or even if you're just looking for a suit for work or occasional wear, it still makes so much sense to me now to spend more on a suit you'll actually love and wear for years if not decades, than to skimp out on the best two-for-one deal you can find in some warehouse. If you're a man living in or around Chicago, you should definitely buy at least one of your suits, and maybe all of them, from Daniel George. Long live quality custom menswear.

I was consistently buying suits from chains and having some altering done to get the exact fit. I decided that I wanted to experience a custom suit fitting and have something I could consistently wear with confidence. The process with Daniel was one of the best experiences I have ever had. From setting the appointment, to visiting their location and getting fitted. I brought a suit, that I thought fit well, and learned a lot about how little I knew how a suit should fit. They have a tremendous swatch book of available fabrics and designs, I deferred to their expertise for most of it but loved the customization. Once the suit arrived I returned for a final fitting and Daniel was meticulous about the way the suit rested down to fixing the way my left shoulder dips a little below my right. The final suit was delivered and I have been rocking it in style ever since. Thank you Daniel and team, hopefully I'll be back soon

I thought I would treat myself and go to their showroom in Chicago. I was measured by Elias, a nice young guy. I spent a couple of thousand dollars, and the suits arrived a couple of months later. I tried on the jackets and realized that they fit poorly. The collars sat off of my neck by nearly a half an inch. This jacket fit like a cheap store bought suit without any tailoring. Far from a made to measure suit that I paid nearly $1000 for, and I bought two. I reached out to Elias immediately to express my extreme dissatisfaction. Communication with Elias was very spotty and I had to repeatedly reach out to him. He finally agreed to remake the jackets. I insisted that the measurement was off, but he said it was not. After a few more months, and many phone calls and text messages, where I was unable to reach him, the newly made jackets arrived. They fit exactly the same with the large, cheap suit, gap off the back of my neck. I've worn one of them a couple of times, but I get mad every time I put it on. Today I put on the other one to see that huge gap looking at me from the mirror. I paid a couple of thousand dollars for two suits , and they fit like crap. I will never do business with Knot Standard again. I have literally spent thousands of dollars with them over the years, no more. I cannot wear these suits. They fit like crap and they make me angry every time I put them on and think of the money I wasted. I'm going to donate them to Goodwill next week.
