Went for our 2 year wedding anniversary. We were quick to be seated with our reservation. Our waitress was on top of getting us drinks, appetizers and food. It is very dimly lit but it makes it feel more intimate. The calamari app was surprisingly very good. I had the halibut special and it was not fishy tasting at all and the sour slaw went perfectly with the fish. My wife had the filet special which was a solid and the thick cut potatoes were a nice touch. There were six people in the restaurant and the first question asked was "Do you have a reservation?"...ughhh seriously?!? So we said we will be happy to sit at the bar, where I will say I enjoyed the conversation with our bartender but regrettably not the food. I ordered the calamari dish off the appetizers and it was a heaping bland mess of overcooked fried calamari on a bed of lettuce with assorted vegetables and zero flavor. Good was outstanding. Fresh oysters are big and plump. We also tried the Brie appetizer which was so good. The sesame crusted Tuna is awesome. My husband had the sirloin with blue cheese and ate the whole thing. He said it was great. My daughter had the Cavati pasta and really liked it. The service is great. Loved the Blue Dog photos everywhere. Some friends were there had had the sea bass which they said was outstanding. Going back tonight for the sea bass. Unfortunately, the visit last night was nothing like the first time. The service was so slow it was ridiculous. It took over 30 minutes for the server to take our order. Trying to get another drink was very difficult. I ordered the Sea Bass. The fish was good, but the fried rice under it was tasteless. My husband ordered the filet. It was dry and tasteless. Tasted like it had been sitting in meat tenderizer. We told the server. She was really rude about it. The manager came over and said, "We've served 50 tenderloins and had no complaints." Ok well now you do. My husband ordered the sirloin he ordered the other night. Very disappointed as it was my husband's 63rd birthday. The meal took close to 3 hours. Won't go back!!! read more

Ok so Indigo is not exactly as I remember it. They used to have a live pianist and casual seating. Today it is all dining or the bar. But the ambiance is the same...modern upscale and eclectic. As the evening dims so does the light becoming more acutely romantic. Upon arrival, we were greeted by Kara at the door. She was also our server. She is energetic, attentive knowledgeable about drinks and the menu and very personable. She is the most charming young lady ever. We started with cocktails and did the whole 9. Cocktails, appetizers, soup/salad and entree. We chose the soup over the salad and had the lobster bisque it was creamy, with a kick of spice, 2 for 2 we loved it. Could stand to have a bit more of meat but the flavor was perfect. Could also use a soup spoon but the teaspoon kept me from devouring it too quickly. Our drinks consisted of water, the Blue dog, the passionista and the seaside. The blue dog is the sweetest of them all, fruity and a delightful sweet treat. The passionista is definitely the Indigo's Cosmo, but the Seaside is the driest and the most tart of them all. So use this as a drink guide for your pallet preference. The pork chops with carmelized onions and goat cheese is delectable. It also has a bourbon and mustard glaze that is absolutely mouthwatering, melt in your mouth and flavors filled. The garlicky potatoes are creamy, moist and textured. The king crab is tender and precut, perfect even without the butter. Overall, the portions are satisfactory. Neither of us could finish our meal and we gladly took left overs home. For dessert we shared a piece of chocolate salted caramel cheese cake. It consisted of a firm chocolate graham cracker crust with cook chocolate cheesecake topped with a creamy salted caramel sauce. Delicious is putting it mildly. Another yumm vote for the cool, creamy dessert. Ok at the end I added a new drink. The Christian...so if you like sweet and bubbly, try the Christian, it's definitely a fun drink. Overall good experience. Waitress was super nice and attentive. Food was very good. What we got: Brie Appetizer Crab Legs Entree with house salad Complimentary pita bread, hummus, garlic, olives Tiramisu All highly recommends. However, the green beans with the entree could have probably been cooked for a tad longer and it took awhile to get our drawn butter (the flames also went out and never were able to get them relit). A bit pricey for the entree. However, the app and dessert were honestly probably my favorites. Delicious! The tiramisu is to die for!!! Nice atmosphere. This item is traditionally supposed to be a complimentary item the restaurant serves while a customer is drinking their cocktail. They charge. Not a big deal, but don't call it an Amuse. Ordered the Indigo steak. It was ok. Served with 10 fries and that's it. Steak was dry as there was no sauce. They didn't have A-1 or something of the sort to make it not so dry. My boyfriend and I loved the interior and the vibe of this place. It was dim and moody with fun dog (corgi?) paintings. The food was amazing. We had crab cakes and the Brie, and both were delicious, though we had hoped the portions might be a tiny bit bigger. The wine list was extensive and great. And our entrees were fantastic--the pork was good and the mashed potatoes were better. My bf had the salmon which was beyond. Next time I'll order that. Overall we had great service as well. Will state first that I have done an annual trek to Springfield area and Indigo for many, many years. Mostly work related, mostly group function attendees. This year we went on a Wednesday evening. Craft beer selection was excellent, as were the appetizers. We tried the "Rock" (fillet on stone), calamari, soup du hour, and deviled egg special. All were tasty. Restaurant is quite comfortable for a group to have conversation...that evening was also slow pace (unsure of reason) for diners. Our entrees were all well received by our group. I would not rate it a "10", but solid score nonetheless. Service was excellent as we were given attention needed, but yet a feeling of privacy remained. Overall still happy with Indigo...maybe the novelty has worn some, but it still hits on the key notes. read more
