Country breakfast, hard potatoes, scrambled eggs and bacon with a weird taste
    Theresa S.

For such a cute building and initial atmosphere, I was surprised by the lack of hospitality and overall hostility we encountered. We were not met with a host but instead a man clearing tables, gruffly asking how many people we had without even saying hello or making eye contact. He told us we could sit where we wanted and that someone would be with us shortly. It was relatively busy, so when we waited about 10 minutes for someone to get us menus, we were not surprised or upset. We got our menus, and when we were ready to order, I asked if I could do grits instead of potatoes. The waitress looked exasperated, saying, "We don't usually do that, but I'll ask." I said, "That's totally fine." Then she asked, "Toast or biscuits?" So I asked, "Could I do an English muffin?" She scoffed, rolled her eyes, and tersely responded, "TOAST or BISCUIT." It took me by surprise, so I apologized, put in an order for a biscuit, and turned away from her. I assume she realized that her attitude was offensive and off-putting, so she then told us that they "don't do substitutions." This information is not listed anywhere on their menu, tables, or entrance, nor was it communicated outside of the waitress being belittling to the customer. We considered leaving because of how the waitress made us uncomfortable. However, we hoped that the food would still be good; we were sorely mistaken. One of us ordered an omelette, and the rest of us ordered the country breakfasts. The potatoes were not red skin like the menu said but clearly the cubed and frozen ones from the grocery store, so overcooked and dry that we could not get a fork through them, and there were no seasonings to be found. We ordered different types of eggs; the scrambled were done okay, but the over-easy were actually over-hard with no runny yolk, as well as bland with not even a hint of salt. The bacon was burnt, chewy, and had the oddest aftertaste that only allowed me to eat a couple of bites before I was put off by it. The sausage patties were tough, dry, and 'fake tasting.' I switched my biscuit for my sister-in-law's English muffin, which was upsetting because the biscuits were the only things that actually tasted good. The English muffin was store-bought, dense, and tasted old. This was our last meal as a group for my bachelorette party, and it made it end on such a sour note and literally put a bad taste in my mouth. TL;DR: Don't go, totally not worth it.

    Pretzel & beer cheese

Stopped in for dinner after work. Staff was super friendly! Food was delicious! Ordered the pretzel & beer cheese which is a must- will definitely do again. Hubby had the firecracker shrimp, which he really enjoyed. I ordered the border burger- so good, had a little kick but not overbearing! We even got a pizza to go for lunch tomorrow because it smelled so good! Will be returning for sure!

Not sure about the "large" portions, but the food was really good. Hubby and I normally split an entree, which we did here also. We ordered the fish tacos which were really tasty, but there were only 2. We ordered fries as the side, which were VERY good, but once again, not a very large amount. We also shared a cup of She Crab soup that was awesome good! The service was good and the way they've fixed the bar up and decorated is really nice. I'd definitely stop in here again, but keep in mind that the serving sizes aren't what I'd consider big.

This is a cool historic hotel and restaurant/bar. Lots of history! The food was average breakfast choices. It was ok. I had biscuits and gravy and they were not homemade. Definitely a mix or canned. Our eggs were prepared well and service was good for a busy Saturday morning. The owner is very friendly and made a point to greet people and visit while you wait.

Breakfast starts at 8AM Saturday. My wife had Ala carte biscuits and Gravy with scrambled eggs w/ sausage. Myself two eggs over easy, 3 strips bacon hash browns and toast. With drink total $21. Service was great, friendly even the owner check on us. Table clean, music was little loud and as people came in it didn't matter by 9:30AM place was full. 8AM best time to arrive. Food was hot fresh and I enjoyed it. Very well done the bacon was warm and crispy felt like I stole it from mom after she just took it off the skillet. Worth the money! Extra note: at around 7AM if you stay in the hotel you will smell the bacon and coffee in your room.

    Fried avocado with spicy slaw

Holy moly, we are all stuffed! The food was awesome with large portions (weekend foods!). It all came out hot and fresh. The pretzel was surprisingly gigantic but oh so yummy. The fried guacamole was some of the best I've had. My blackened shrimp tacos were packed with goodies, and seasoning was just right (not too salty). All of the pastas were amazing. We were way too full to try any desserts. Lol The only issue was the ventilation system in the kitchen. It got smoky in the back by the kitchen. But the server was fantastic and the food was amazing.

We visited on a Saturday afternoon and 3rd Chute was packed. They do have multiple bars and places to sit on the 3 levels and was able to find some seating. Servers were pretty busy and took a minute to get menus, are drink order and listen to the specials. 3rd Chute does have live music on weekends which was very good. 3rd Chute is a pretty cool place, Lots of great decor everywhere you look which gives the place that cool bar and grill feeling. We started with some mini corn dog appetizers and some Mac and cheese poppers, a fried blend of macaroni and pepper jack cheese fried to perfection. We also ordered a classic cheeseburger with fries, pork tenderloin sandwich, pulled pork sandwich with fries and a grilled hot dog with fries. It took a few minutes to get our food with how busy the place was. Our server did check up on us to make sure our drinks were topped off. Food was cooked to order and was a good portion for those with a hearty appetite. There are several other bar and grills in close proximity to 3rd Chute. Most other places had more seafood options, which unfortunately we had allergies to. 3rd Chute's menu had all the classic food options a great bar and grill usually has available. 3Rd Chute Bar and Grill was a cool experience and highly recommend if you're visiting Grafton and looking for some good food with reasonable prices. We'll be back!

Is Bobby G's a dive bar disguised as a martini bar, or is it a martini bar disguised as dive bar…read more Either way you look at it, it is a true dive bar that serves up classy Martini's. I am a true martini man and I am embarrassed to admit, until yesterday I have never been. What is sad, is I have been to all the bars to either side and across street. You'd think with, martini is the name, I would have gone. It wasn't until it was recommended to me, that I asked others and continued to get rave reviews. I popped in early on a Friday and had a Dirty Martini lunch. It's a dive bar, so my martini was served in a plastic tumbler. Mine was in a larger plastic glass, because the bartender wanted to empty the shaker. I'm a snob and prefer a classic stem glass, but once I took my first sip, the glass did not matter. My martini was extra dirty and served with blue cheese olives. I had chatted with the bartender and she knew it was my first visit, so she treated me with regular olives as well. So it really was a martini lunch. If you're in Grafton, be sure to check out Bobby G's, don't wait as long as I did.

The Loading Dock was closed so we looked for something else nearby. We found Bobby G's and it was perfect! A very nice place inside with a unique "ICE CAVE" - a stone room used to store ice cut from the river! The bartender was very nice, the place decorated to make it warm and interesting, and the drinks cold! I'll be back here again sometime.
