Our waitress was wonderful and service was incredibly prompt which I appreciate because I have noticed that service on the island is generally more relaxed (i.e. slow). For appetizers we shared the baby gem salad and the pork bolognese. Both good but the pork bolognese was a small but mighty star. Pasta was perfectly al dente and we really enjoyed the goat cheese with the pork. For our mains we ordered the pork chop, halibut and mushroom lasagna. The portions were large and we were all satisfied with our orders (though the pork chop was quite salty). Enjoyed this enough that I would for sure come back.

The kitchen initially sent out cooked vegetables but when we questioned it, Luka immediately apologized and got it corrected. He was also helpful when I ordered hot tea, coming back to show me their selection of teas and making sure I was happy with what I ordered. Our server made several mistakes throughout the evening and had an unexpectedly aggressive attitude. He forgot my sister's wine twice, brought out an incorrect order, and mishandled my mom's dessert request. There was also confusion around the dessert order. My mom wanted one scoop of gelato and asked about the available flavors. The server was very unclear, using "sorbet" and "gelato" interchangeably throughout the conversation. In the end, she ordered one scoop of "lemon gelato," as he described it, which should have been $3. So we were surprised when the bill came and showed a $14 charge for lemon sorbet--which wasn't even listed on the menu. When we pointed this out, the server responded in a pretty surly manner, though the charge was eventually corrected. After we paid, he brought over a scoop of vanilla gelato and said it was "on him," but the delivery felt sarcastic and he placed it on the table quite aggressively. By that point, we were already full and honestly just ready to leave. Overall, the food and atmosphere were great, but the poor service really put a damper on the evening and left us ending the night on a negative note. Since we were a party of six, a 20% gratuity was automatically added to our bill, which was unfortunate given the level of service we received.

Prices also snuck up on us a bit, it's easy to lose count of how many you've had with the card reader. I was also a bit bummed to find that if you liked a wine you cannot purchase a bottle on site. But I'm glad I tried it and had fun.
