If you call in or at least attempt to call in an order expect a wait and often a older rude reception. Take out thrown in a box regardless of what the meal choice might be. Salad in a box is not a great idea. If you eat in you'll be fine but bring your checkbook. read more

Very disappointed with the Bartender male with Gray hair last Friday night. He was the rudest, we asked for drinks acted like it was such an inconvenience. He was clearly upset that we asked him, he was snippy asking each of us what we wanted rolling his eyes. Then bringing them, and Slamming them at the table. Giving dirty looks and Rolling his eyes and acting like it was a huge inconvenience. We watched him back at the bar and it was pretty busy but he was just standing around while the dark haired woman did all the work. Then asking for the bill he was so mad at us for asking. Just unreal. Pretty much Ed acting the same way rude and shoving the bill at us. Other tables said the same thing too us about him and how rude he was being. Closed Monday. Sunday closes at 5:00pm. Menu extremely limited. Best employees are getting their hours cut back. One of the best servers went to another restaurant to work due to her hours being cut back. The floor manager isn'. Talking to upper management goes in one ear and out the other. No more live entertainment. Dan the bartender is awesome as is Tim a server. Numerous other community declines. If things were like this when we moved here 4 years ago we would have moved elsewhere. read more

Honestly can't give an actual review because I've stopped going because it's just not worth it. But having said that I've talked to friends who aren't happy with this place at all. So basically I can't honestly give this restaurant a good review. Update after trying the grill a few times and going to some events there I can honestly say this place is run so badly. If's definitely a not for profit business and is subsidized otherwise it would be out of business. Basically trying to run a kitchen set up to be a snack bar as a restaurant. Can't work and shrouds be switched back to a snack bar so it could actually make a profit and not depend on HOA money to keep the doors open. Or perhaps lease it out to someone who actually would have an incentive to make money and create a place people would want to visit. read more

Management has very little clue on how to staff their restaurant and bar. On a recent visit 150 ladies were having an event in the dining room. One lone bartender struggled to keep up and service was very slow. As soon as the event in the dining room ended two more staff members showed up. Now three bartenders had 10 people to wait on. We do not eat beef or pork. A few months back we went to what had become our favorite local spot to find that they took so much off the menu and everything we did eat previously was gone. So sad, that there was very little consideration for those who have dietary restrictions. read more

We love going to the Grill. The food is consistently good and the servers are all very nice and really work hard. And you can't beat the view! Like all restaurants they had issues with staffing but they seem to have gone past that. read more

This place gets bad reviews but it's because you can't please people over 55 years of age. The older people that live in this neighborhood are just salty Boomers/Gen-Xers that feel they are entitled. Mack, the bartender is absolutely horrible. Rude, disrespectful, and pours horrible drinks. You'd hope for better service at such a great community like this. Jackie the other bartender was so sweet and considerate, but the bad attitude and poor craftsmanship of Mack outshined her sweet personality. DO NOT GO TO THE BAR IF MACK IS BEHIND IT. read more

This place has the best margaritas ever the staff is really friendly. The food is great. We were just a little surprised that my wife and I shared a steak and chicken fajita and only gave us one small thing of tortillas. Since we were splitting, they charged us $1.50 more for more tortillas which I thought was ridiculous. read more

We live at Sun City Festival which is about 15 miles west of Surprise. The indigo Grill located at Sun City Festival is the only restaurant for 15 miles. The staff at the indigo Grill is very friendly; I believe most of them are neighbors! The food, however, is a mixed bag. This time, we ordered items that were not grilled. My wife ordered a taco salad; It was OK! I ordered a tuna salad with cottage cheese; it was OK, too! My daughter ordered chicken salad with cottage cheese; it was OK as well! We had had some disappointments in the past, and we are learning that some menu items are better than others. It's too bad, because this problem with food quality and taste is very fixable. The restaurant is casual with great views of the mountains and the golf course. It's a lovely and relaxed setting. This is written not as a hit-and-run food critic, but as a resident who would like to support the local restaurant. If the food quality and taste to improve, the place would be packed. Management changes every 6 months, and every time, the people who live in the festival community pray that THIS will make the difference as it's the only restaurant nearby. It never does. Poor service from the wait staff (decent service at the bar), food is horribly inconsistent and undercooked more often than not. Management is unwilling to take suggestions and complaints seriously. Take the extra 10 minutes to drive into town for real food, this is a rip-off. read more

This is a beautiful restaurant in the Buttes are amazing. I especially like sitting outside under the veranda which is all open air and such a peaceful serene. The service is great, the food is very good and overall it's very relaxing looking at the White Tank Mountains and greens of the golf course. Highly recommend read more

I cant say enough good things about our experience at the Indigo Grille tonight. First of all it was a very busy night, there was great live music by Sundancer on the patio and by 4:30pm the patio and both bars were overflowing with happy patrons...every seat was taken. I got there and asked for a table inside and without reservations I was still given a table for 4. There were plenty of greeters and seaters, and servers and helpers and no one that I could see had to wait very long for their food or drinks including a couple of big tables, even a birthday party. The star of the show for us was our server Colleen, she had our table and a couple of others and was obviously very busy, but she was always smiling and keeping tabs on us without too much or too little attention, she was a total pro! After a round of drinks, our food came out quickly and we all enjoyed what we ordered, the tacos, the burger and the fried fish were all delicious. The Indigo Grille was terrific tonight, with great service, great food, and great entertainment...we can't wait to go back read more

The Grille has greatly improved the past few months. Happy hour appetizers are delicious-- we have tried almost all and they are flavorful! The burger is excellent, as well. I can even get a decent IPA on tap, San Tan Moon Juice or O'Dells. We love to sit outside before all of the golfers arrive (it gets pretty noisy once they convene for happy hour). We live in Festival and eat here often. First, the staff has always been super friendly. It does not take them long to remember your name and whet you like. The food has been very good for us. We've ordered almost everything on the menu and have not been disappointed. They are expanding the inside bar/restaurant area, and adding an outside bar and additional outside seating. This should help with some overcrowding that they are starting to see. Can't wait for the opening. read more

I got take out here. Happened to be chicken. I ended up with severe food poisoning. When I passed out and fell I fractured my spine and broke 4 ribs well it was many days before I woke up in the hospital. I spent 3 months there. When AZ CDC finally got a hold of me I didn't know how important it was that I should have called and reported my situation. That will never happen again. I live in the community and I will never eat their food again. I warn everyone to do the same. read more

Amazing taco Tuesday! Had the green Chile pork tacos with beans and rice and it was so yummy. My bf got the steak and rice and veggies and loved it. Really happy with the updated menu.
