Sparkling wine

If I could give this wine bar 10 stars I would. My wife, dog and I were referred to this place from a girl who worked at a shoe store on the next street over and we are glad that we listened to her recommendation. First, all the wines we tried were fantastic and the atmosphere was super fun full of life and awesome people. Most wine bars I have been to have been cold and stiff, but not this one. Also, the owner Raymond was working and he was a cool human. He explained all his wines to us and was very welcoming. Also, he told us all the charitable events that he does with his wine to help out communities and this made this place extra special. I love the idea of wine with intention and purpose. We left leaving good and made friends on the way out. Highly recommend :)

One of the great things about downtown Paso Robles are all the tasting rooms tucked into smaller spaces. Indigene Cellars is one of them. Nestled in an alley is a lovely tasting room featuring some great wines. Their Syrah was my favorite but they have several on their tasting menu. Friendly service and a low key vibe make everyone feel welcome. Stop in and check it out for yourself!

I loved this wine tasting!! The wines were all amazing and Avery was absolutely fantastic. She made our time here the best and she was very knowledgeable and friendly. I would definitely come back here for the service and the wine!

My husband and I had a great visit here and loved all the wines we tasted. Despite our wine attendant only working just over 2 weeks, he was super knowledgeable and can already tell will be an asset to Raymond! I'm sorry I didn't catch your name ;). We went home with 4 bottles to share with family. My husband and I will be sure to visit again when we head back to Paso and hope to meet Raymond as well!

We showed up a little late on this dreary day but Raymond was wonderful about accommodating us for a tasting.

The tasting room is intimate, comfortable, and tastefully decorated, creating a relaxed atmosphere to enjoy great wine. What really makes this place stand out is the people. The staff and owners are wonderful friendly, welcoming, and incredibly knowledgeable, making the entire experience feel warm and engaging. LXV is especially known for pairing wine with custom spice and flavor experiences that complement the tasting. They traditional wine tasting and a wine-and-cheese pairing experience (which I highly recommend). The cheeses are coated with the different blends of LXV's own herbs and spices, adding a unique layer of flavor to each tasting. If you enjoy cooking or simply appreciate bold, and well balanced flavors, chances are you'll leave with a few spice blends to take home along with a bottle or two of wine. I highly recommend checking them out.

Our first stop when we arrived in Paso. We've been to so many wineries, this would be one of our top 10. The spice pairing is unique but pairs so well with the wine. Buy 3 bottles to waive the fee. Since it's more of boutique, the bottles are quite pricey, mostly ranging near the 100s. But it was our favorite the whole weekend we went there. And we bought 6 bottles. We loved the spell and got 3 bottles of that! It's a Syrah cab blend. Has the Paso flavor that we love. It's not a vineyard, just a tasting room but worth a visit. We met the wine maker too. Friendly and attentive service. Can't wait to pop open a bottle at home soon!

I heard him mention this tasting room in downtown Paso to a couple sitting a few seats down, but never got there, opting for other "larger" wineries. However, since walking through the door in June 2025, I feel Bushong is one of the best Paso Robles has to offer and really like what Jason says, "We're not focused on making more and more, but making better and better." The tasting room is located half a block off the square at 12th St & Spring St. a very easy walk across Spring, if you are visiting other tasting rooms in town. Jason, the winemaker and Mike, mister "does everything else" serve up some great wines! Walking through the door it feels as if you are walking into someone's living room. The wall opposite the entrance is a wall full of vinyl (that's records, Gen Z). Willing to spin whatever you are in the mood to listen to. The wine names are all music related, as are the labels. Specializing in red blends, Jason does an excellent job getting the most out of each varietal used to create a symphony of flavor in each bottle. The tasting run $25 per person, but is waved with the purchase of two bottles. You taste your way through the lighter offerings, a white and rose before moving on to the red blends and possible the 23 year old cream sherry. So lovely! Everything he bottles has been excellent. I've been very impressed with the quality considering the size of his boutique winery, but really becoming a fan of these smaller operations because of what they produce time after time. When in Paso, make a reservation with Jason or Mike and get into Bushong. Some of the best wine I have tasted in Paso. I highly recommend it!
