The woman selling the dips made demeaning and rude comments about me while I was sampling their dips, and made me feel very unwelcome at their stand. She made degrading comments about me insinuating that I was only sampling their products without any intention of purchasing their products (which I have purchased their products in the past), but after such a hostile encounter I will not be giving them my business any longer. There are always better places that sell similar products without being terribly rude and belittling to their customers.

Even though I am a Louis Prima fan (sorry for the obscure reference) the bone to meat ratio just doesn't make up for the higher fat content. At least for me. This guys ribs changed that. You don't eat these ribs so much as you hold them up and allow the meat to dive into your mouth like an Olympian off the 10 meter platform. They are that good. And I have eaten enough brisket in my life that writing a review including a reference to pork is probably something I shouldn't do publicly, but his is top notch. Lastly, I come on this site and often see reviews regarding the personal nature of the proprietor of the business, which are sometimes so vicious and misplaced, it is not a mystery why the writers of South Park want to feed some of the members of this site what they want to feed them. To that end, if you have a problem with either Dan or his staff, I would have to say that the problem is most likely with you. They couldn't be nicer, more courteous and helpful. I know that sounds like a lot for serving somebody BBQ but those fairgrounds on a weekend can be a certified nuthouse. At no time did I see anyone lose their patience or desire to help the customers. Stangl also hosts a weekly artisan farmers' market and bi-monthly live music and art events. It really is a growing creative community. Blue Fish Grill doesn't have a bar, but they do allow BYOB. I learned that Basil Bandwagon has been open for 25 years. The year they opened, I was eating cold Pop Tarts while running to catch the school bus at 6:55am. In those days, fat-free was all the rage and considered "healthy" -- never mind all the refined carbs, loads of sugar, and preservatives. These days, I'm a strict vegetarian who is mostly vegan. I cook a lot and eat fresh produce daily. I appreciate that BB offers a healthy alternative to basically all the crap fast food otherwise available in the area. We ordered a wrap from the cafe and decided to eat it there. The seating was a counter with a few bar stools but it was clean if not spacious. My husband and I shared the "Freebird" wrap -- tofu-based mock chicken, sprouts, lettuce, tomato, and vegan mayo. It came with potato chips. Wow, this was so good! Clean tasting, hearty, and delicious. I was so impressed with it that we grabbed a prepackaged wrap from the cold case to take on the plane with us. We also picked up a few other vegan sandwiches which were okay tasting but overall too dense and heavy. Next time, I'll stick with the housemade items. I do find it a little annoying that BB doesn't seem to carry as many vegan items as they do things that are "paleo" and gluten-free. I also find that some of their food items are so outrageously overpriced that you'd be better off hunting around at the local grocery stores instead of purchasing them here.
