Came here this week around lunchtime with my husband and baby. There was one couple dining when we arrived, and throughout our meal, a few more people came in to eat or pick up takeout. The restaurant was mostly empty, but that's probably because it recently opened.
As soon as we walked in, we were warmly greeted and seated. Since we had our baby with us, they immediately brought over a high chair so he could sit with us. They also offered a paper plate for him and were so sweet interacting with him. They never seemed bothered by him, even though he was loudly saying "ey!" at random times. We also got introduced to the chefs/cooks and everyone was very friendly.
The ambiance was great...not too formal but not overly casual either. It felt like a comfortable place for lunch or dinner with friends, family, or even coworkers.
The food was delicious! We ordered the Onion Chili Masala Dosa, which came with sambar, an orange chutney, and a coconut-ginger chutney that was a little different from the usual coconut chutney but still really good. We also got the Kaju Koya Curry, which was absolutely delicious! It came with a bowl of rice. We ordered a sweet lassi as well. It was a little thinner than I personally prefer, but it was tasty, and my baby loved it. We also had the Kashmiri naan, which was delicious.
Before leaving, we ordered one of the goat entrées to go for my parents. I asked for it to be made spicy because they enjoy spicy food, and wow, they actually made it spicy! My parents loved it.
I'm so glad we decided to try this place, and I can't wait to come back and work my way through more of the menu. The only thing I wish they offered is a buffet because I'd love the chance to try a little bit of everything! read more
