Nothing but the best! Delicious food, excellent service. Lots of flavors. Stop in give them a try and see for yourself. That good.

I've been dying to try this place and the chicken Tika was incredible.... Everyone also loved the tandoori chicken, naan, let's just say everything we ordered. The restaurant is nicely decorated and intimate. When we arrived the nice waiter helped us order and not over order. I would have given a five but when it comes to service if you're enjoying and paying for your meal a restaurant should know service etiquette. The lady was reaching over us taking plates while we were still eating, when you dine they should ask is everyone done or wait to see everyone stopped eating ask them if they want to go or if they're finished not in this case the food was literally on my son's fork and the waitress took his plate that I grabbed and said he's eating!

Must try if you are going to the jersey shore!! This is our second time here and we can't be happier. We made a last minute reservation and they seated us 10 min before closing. The place feels authentic and service is extremely nice! The food was delicious and was served within 10 min. We got the samosa chaat for an appetizer and it was great probably top 5 on my list. You can never go wrong with paneer tikka masala - so so flavorful! My boyfriend loved the chicken tikka masala and wanted more. Btw the garlic naan was so crispy and tasty. Make sure to check the when the restaurant closes because Rezy isn't accurate on Sundays.

Amazing experience here. Don't miss out on this gem with so many flashier options in the heart of buzzing downtown RB. Service was on point, accommodating, and polite. Calm ambience and BYOB. Nice menu selection and everything was of quality with ample flavor. Definitely recommend trying a bunch of plates and sharing. Garlic naan bread is a must! The eggplant chat app is underrated. A delicate, sweet crisp to the warm eggplant that was abundant and mixed in with cold chickpeas and sauces. Everything blended deliciously making for a unique dish. Chicken was extremely tender and shrimp fresh and sizzling. Table sauces a nice compliment. P.S. there is a redeemable Yelp discount! Alternatively, mgmt deducts from the bill if you pay in cash.

Came on a weeknight and the restaurant was full! They have quick and friendly service. There is plenty of take out orders as well. 1. Garlic Naan - Delicious! Hot and full of garlic 2. Chicken Tikka Masala - Not spicy for the mild. There is plenty of meat and comes with rice. Good for 2 people. It is BYOB also! Overall had a great first time here and would come back again!

Truly excellent Indian food. We had the vegetable korma and the paneer butter masala. They were both great. The garlic naan was perfect. The omg naan was expensive ($8!) and way too spicy though. Speaking of cost, this place is pricy. I do wish they had vegetable pakora as an appetizer, but the samosa, papadams and chutneys were all great. The mint in particular had a nice spicy kick. On the less positive side, this was the most expensive Indian restaurant I've been to (each entree was over $20), on the high side even for the area, and I've technically had better. It was also a hot day and the AC was on near the bathrooms in the back but it was simply not reaching the dining area. It felt cooler outside by the time we left. The servers were all friendly and the decor was really nice. All-in-all truly excellent Indian food, particularly if you're price insensitive.

I was tasked with making dinner reservations when a couple of old friends and I were set to watch Starwars in concert at the Basie theater in Redbank. I chose Bombay River cuz I wanted to see what the 5 star yelp review average was all about. They definitely nailed the appetizer part - I had some of the most delicious cauliflower ever and also the naan bread was a winner. The spicy naan was more than many people can handle - it delivers a hell of a kick. When my chicken biryani entree arrived, it too didn't disappoint. Sometimes this dish can be dry but this was just right, balancing the rich ghee flavor while not going overboard on grease. It had delicious spices and meat and rice. Tasting my friend's dish, the chicken marsala, was amazing. Fall off the bone tender and great flavor too. Very nice environment and personable server/ host + byob.

I'm giving this place an additional star for its exceptional service. I visited on a Saturday night for dinner and the place was packed but they still managed to get me a table for 2 despite not having reservations. The manager/owner greeted us at our table and informed us of the best entrees on the menu. He also went around to all tables to greet customers and make them feel welcomed. This really showed the amazing hospitality of the restaurant. The restaurant is very well decorated and has a great ambiance. The food is good but nothing extraordinary. I had saag paneer and methi malai mutter with butter naan and rice. All were made to be medium spicy and had the right amount of kick.

Gave it another chance and it did not disappoint. Will be coming back every year on vacation! Be sure to specify your spice level, otherwise the dish will come out mild. The garlic chili naan and garlic naan are a must! Still the best items. The chicken butter marsala was delicious with a medium+ spice level. Tender, flavorful chicken cooked to perfection. I recommend this over the chicken tikka marsala. The chicken korma was full of flavor and again the chicken cooked to perfection. Perfect amount of sauce to mix with rice and naan. Definitely the best Indian restaurant in the area, and I don't say that lightly. Worth the extra drive past some of the other Indian restaurants. The main staff guy was very attentive and helpful. Noticed when our water jug was empty and brought another. Checked in to make sure our spice levels and flavor was good. The assistant staff guy seemed new and needed a bit of help. Overall the service was great. Definitely come eat here!!

This charming restaurant is a must visit. Found myself in Jersey with a hankering for Indian. Beautifully decorated interior (Sam the owners wife has great taste and chose the all of the interior decor) in navy & gold with unique chandeliers and tiny lamps on each table makes it intimate and comfortable. The staff is wonderful...... we were greeted by Sam upon entering, although we were earlier than our designated reservation he promptly seated us. Sam made suggestions for my mother that were spot on.....she loved her starter and her entree. She had the Eggplant Chat and I ordered the Garlic Pepper Shrimp. Both aromatic and perfectly spiced. If you have a sensitivity to spicy food the shrimp may be too much for you (it's made with chili sauce) but I love spicy food and loved this starter dish. The eggplant chat was a delightful mixture of foods paired nicely to bring a flavor to your taste buds delight. My entree was the Angare Chicken which was bought to me on a sizzling cooper skillet with the most tender chicken and onions cooked to perfection. The other entree was the Vegetable Korma which was a mixture of sliced carrots, mini potatoes, peas and cauliflower in a mild sauce, I tried it and give my nod of approval. We shared garlic naan and two mango lassis that were by far the best lassis I have ever had. The staff was beyond accommodating and gave top notch service from start to finish. I cannot wait to go back and try more items from the menu.

    Naanchos, absolutely delicious .

This was the first time my wife and I ate at Bombay River. We were greeted warmly and the service was exceptional. As for the food, we started with the Naanchos, which I highly recommend. We both ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala for the lunch menu and it was very flavorful. The pricing is reasonable and we walked away full and satisfied.

The presentation was fun with the smoke and opportunity to try all the flavors makes it worth getting. I would say the ambiance is made to seem like its for insta worthy spot. It's modern but not fully upscale. However, I did appreciate the plate change between appetizer and entree. The staff was friendly and assisted with providing suggestions on what is popular. They were tentative on checking in once we were ready to order. The portion size is smaller here. We ordered 3 appetizer, one curry, and naan. Rice was complimentary if I remember correctly. For appetizer we ordered the modern twist items from the menu which included the burrata chaat, tandoori momo, and chicken katsu bao buns. We weren't the biggest fan of tandoori momo and they were tad cold. But the burrata chaat was different and good along with the chicken katsu which was flavorful. However, we wish there was a little more spicy aioli for the bao buns or a side of it to dip for the parts that get a little dry without it. Definitely recommend those two if you're debating on what to order. For the entree we got the famous butter chicken as we were told that is what they are known for and it was mediocre so I would definitely try something else. The garlic naan was classic and flakey. This place is byob and in the complex in the back there is a liquor store incase you want to grab something before. You can make reservation online.

Since moving to upstate NY four years ago, I only get to Good Karma when visiting family in NJ. During our latest trip we stopped at Good Karma to pick-up dinner on the way to my parent's house. We ordered the Love Bowl, Gado Gado Salad, and the Live Nachos. Issues: 1) The Gado Gada salad was a big miss. It's supposed to include lettuce, tofu, cabbage, carrots, roasted peanuts, and a sesame seed mix. There was ZERO sesame seed mix and literally ONE roasted peanut. We had asked the tofu be swapped for beans, which did happen, but basically all my wife got was a salad with lettuce and beans. 2) Live Nachos: what a HUGE disappointment. I've had these a number of times in the past and was really looking forward to these. One of my favorite parts has always been the creamy cashew sour cream. THIS TIME, there was one small dollop of the cashew cream. We basically paid $15 for a box of seasoned lettuce with 8 nacho chips -- not nearly enough chips to even eat with our seasoned lettuce. The Love Bowl, fortunately, was on par with my past experiences. However, the experience still left me questioning whether it's worth returning to Good Karma next time.
