Garlic Naan Chicken Tikka Masala Plain Basmati Rice

I came in for dinner at about 5pm and was the only person in the restaurant though a steady stream of takeout customers were coming and going. I asked the employee what they would recommend as a first time visitor and I was recommended the chicken tikka masala (spicy option), so I went with that and it came with rice. I added garlic naan to the order. Overall it was a great meal, packed with flavor (not too spicy) and very fresh The service was great and I will definitely be adding this to my list of go to places!

The best Indian food-- no-- THE BEST FOOD I HAVE EVER HAD. The service is great, they are very attentive to their customers and are always so kind and tender. The ambiance is impeccable. The decoration is beautiful and very clean inside, and the beautiful plating makes it that much better. We sat as a table of 3, ordered 2 dinner items, raita, and nan, along with samosas and pakora to start, and still had enough for all of us to take home leftovers. Serving sizes are PERFECT. Pricing is perfectly fine because I would honestly pay anything for this food. My family and I have been ordering here for years-- we tried other Indian food restaurants and nothing beats Tandoor India. Every meal is somehow better than the last. It quite literally feels like I entered heavens gates when I enter those doors. I recommend this place to everyone I have ever spoken to; Tandoor India heals me from my troubles and worries.

Great taste and friendly accommodating service! They increased their signage to improve visibility of the entrance. The sauces for Chicken Tikka Masala and Chicken Shahi Kurma were very flavorful! Spice level was perfect for us. The meat was tender and juicy. Garlic naan was perfectly fluffy and soft with a little bit of crisp. Only thing that could've gotten this a 5 star would've been if the chicken carried more flavor itself outside of the sauce. Overall amazing experience with the staff making sure the food was good and that we were comfortable.

My family has been getting great takeout from this restaurant since we bought our home, in Eatontown, 32 years ago. As we understand it that was the same year this restaurant opened and the same family has run it all these years. I want to congratulate them on surviving the pandemic and thank them for the meals we had in the restaurant and the countless take out meals we ate at home. All delicious since 1991. The staff always asks what spice level we want the food at whether we eat it there or as take out. They are very good at sorting out that my son learned to eat food at mouth numbing levels while attending college, my daughter wants everything medium hot and I and my husband now prefer our food a flavorful mild. Our children joyfully ate it as toddlers (mildly medium spiced at the time) when we were trying to expand their palates. Sweet lassis were gulped if they got a hotter bite but they always dug back into their food portions until it was gone. Tonight my hubby and I ordered old favorites which are Lamb Moglai and Karahi Lamb. Plentiful tender lamb in both entrees. I tried to take pictures of both entrees but my husband dumped his pint of Karahi Lamb over his full container of Basmati rice, tore his Garlic Naan into pieces and dug in. It is all gone except one quarter of his garlic naan and he says he is Thanksgiving full and went off to fall asleep in his recliner as a happy man. I am posting a picture of my Lamb Moglai after I also dumped my pint on top my full container of Basmati rice but I have to admit I took many bites of the fragrant lamb and rice before I forced myself to stop and take the picture. Heck can anyone really not eat good takeout immediately in the privacy of their home? So just know there is less in the picture then what was picked up from the restaurant! I am also posting a picture of the Tandori Paratha but none of my sweet lassi because, as delicious as it is, it looked like a plain glass of milk when I focused my iphone down into the take out cup. Succulent lamb in the creamy, almond flavored sauce. The smell of Basmati rice wafting around our den and oh the very yummy parathra that I can use to scoop up mouthfuls of it all. 32 years this restaurant has made my home feel like a short visit to India!

Stopped by because no other restaurants were open at that time. The place smelled old and moldy and the food itself didn't taste that great.

This time we tried the fava dish, lentil salad, rice pudding, sausage appetizer and falafel. Surprised and delighted with how light and crispy the falafel was! We learned Egyptian falafel is made with fava beans and not chickpeas. The sausage appetizer came with a very flavorful tomato sauce for dipping homemade pita bread. Hummus was also very creamy and delicious. The evening was rainy and cold so we were the only customers making it feel very cozy. The owner and chef was accommodating and shared memories of growing up in Egypt. We enjoyed our time very much. Food is a step above typical Mediterranean. p.s. updated review to add pictures from our first visit. We fell in love with the mint tea, lentil salad, French fries, and pita wraps with tahini dressing.

Again, this is really not the place to order traditional Indian food. The beauty lies in the modern, creative dishes and flavors. In fact, if you want to order a traditional dish, the owner will likely not let you!! But letting him guide my journey was the best choice because we had some exciting flavors that are unlike anything else you will try. My favorites were the bhel puri with guacamole (so good with some papadum to dip) and the malai kofta tacos. They were absolute flavor perfection and so unique. The ambience is super casual but the owner will treat you like it is a Michelin star dining experience! He brought out lots of fun (free) snacks in between the courses. Given this, I would prepare for at least 2 hours for the full dine in experience. Again, not what you would expect from an Indian spot in a strip mall but it was such an unexpected delight. Overall it was an excellent culinary experience but make sure you reset your expectations if you are looking for quick, traditional Indian cuisine. They also don't use seed oil and use pure tallow as fat if that is your thing. PS it's BYOB so make a nice night out of it!

We have been living in this area for over 20 yrs and I'm ashamed to say this has been my 1st time stepping a foot into this establishment. It was a Thursday night and we were the only people in the restaurant and that had me a little worried but that quickly changed after they brought the complementary snacks to the table. Not sure of the names of the items but let me say all 3 toppings were delicious as well as the cracker. One was sweet one was spicy and then there were some peppers. We ordered the lamb samosas and omg they were delicious right along with the Papri Chaat. I will be honest I was not sure what to order but I went with the combo mix and asked for a sauce on the side that's not spicy. I asked the owner for his recommendation on which bread to choose and he said the garlic naan and what a great choice.
